NGL that was awesome! Gonna have to reassess my thoughts on GP and digital future. On the one hand, I could purchase physical copies of these titles on PS5, or I could just say "fuck it" and skip purchasing them all and just pay a single fee on GP and enjoy them that way.

That was pretty good. All the games look solid, but Ninja Gaiden & DOOM stood out, maybe because they're both from studios with proven track records. Even so, Expedition 33 and South of Midnight look like they have potential, especially 33. Maybe it can be the FF XVI those disappointed with XVI are still looking for.

Stuff like this tho, really makes you wonder what bad timing Microsoft had choosing now of all times, to become a multiplat publisher. They have a software lineup & just enough 3P relations to be a strong challenger against PlayStation again, especially seeing how 1P-wise SIE's internal studios might not be in the best of shape in terms of development timelines (since it'd seem many of them were stuck on now-cancelled GAAS slop).

Welp, it is what it is. Solid Direct regardless

That was a solid 9/10 event and I don't even play half of these games. GP seems to be off to a decent start at least.

I do worry that means less sales for games though - especially for that compulsion team. It looks very unique and I hope it works out for them.

This was a weird show, not a single bad game (in fact all games were good to great!), but it also feels like it should have been called Microsoft Gaming Developer Direct.

I've mostly adapted my mind to the idea of Xbox being primarily 3P, but it's still beyond weird to see PS5 being mentioned on multiple games in a show titled Xbox.

South of Midnight still looks utterly terrible to me, and the Expedition 33 thing just isn't for me, but Doom and Ninja Gaiden are big wins for me personally. That's two misses and two hits, so I'll take it.

The french RPG also looks good, but kinda ?? on the gamepass part, looks like an expensive game, so lets hope its actually good.

What a great show! Stand and fight Doom looks amazing. I liked 2016, hated Eternal. This looks fantastic.

Im not an RPG guy but Expedition 33 has my attention for story alone.

South of Midnight was not on my radar prior to this showing. Having a closer look, I'll definitely give it a chance.

MS is finally delivering a steady stream of high quality games. Hoping they nail their next gen console cause the games have arrived.
