Xbox Rapper KidSmoove Releases Follow-Up to 'GamePass Anthem'

I believe he just did an interview last week saying they were working on hardware.

Could be lies though.
He said that they’re making hardware and wanted the capabilities and uniqueness to sell the box rather than exclusive games.
It’ll obviously fail, would be like Ubisoft making a console. Ubi made that uDraw tablet and also have their own store that nobody use, and is on Steam now, so it’s a valid comparison.

I think Valve is the real winner, since as usual they do nothing while their ”competitors” mess up and come to them. And now they’re going wider with SteamOS and will sneak into the living room and start nibbling at the console cake. Probably in silence while Sony and Nintendo start a new heated console war.

Your new anthem dropped.

My man's just going through the Lars von Trier depression trilogy phase.

He'll be back.

Wow this dude didn't take losing the console war easy did see his last video upload was 10 Months ago.:messenger_grinning_sweat:

Hope dude is ok.(y)

I never watched the whole video until today. The guy looked and sounded like he was cuming at the thought of all those games going exclusive to Xbox. At one point I thought he was going to have a stroke. That singing at the end as well. Lol.

Crazy that people like this really exist.

Ah mate, I choked up while listening, was thinking back to the start when I got the og Xbox and Halo, Halo2 and the fellow Xbox alphas I met along the way. The glory days of the 360, Halo 3 and Reach, Gears and who can forget Crackdown. Xbox one was shakey but rose to its feet, in my regiment it was the goto box for Battlefield 4 and the good days of Rainbow 6. The Series X came and we had it all, the best deal in gaming and the power of the world in our hand, we thought we had chosen the right god, we showed our support and our love but in the end he threw that away.

As i lay here, a tear rolls down my face onto my pillow, I think about the dark future ahead and the tough decision I must make, I think over the next few months I may have to purchase a PS5 Pro, it will be hard but maybe they will treat me better over there.

And the consequence….
No store, no 30% cut from 3rd party games, 30% cut from their own games instead, no money from 3rd party dlc, no bonus hype from platform fans, no online subscriptions, Gamepass subscriber numbers will drop fast when it’s just on PC, less 3rd party deals for Gamepass, less Xbox cloud usage when exclusives and Gamepass content get worse, barely no accessories sold. Etc.

It’ll sting.

I'm not sure if it'll be as bad as that. Both my son and I have an Xbox. I haven't bought a game on that console for a long time and my son has only ever bought FIFA and COD (which he doesn't need to buy now). Besides that, he's content with the games in his gamepass sub.

I know I'm using two people as an example, but I know other people who use their Xbox as a FIFA and Gamepass box. They don't want to drop money on buying games and will just wait to see if they come to Gamepass. I'm sure there are many more people like this.

With that in mind, I doubt Xbox is making a lot from third party sales on their Xbox consoles. They're probably going to make more selling their software to PlayStation and Nintendo users.

But they’re a publisher now. With an experimental hardware team, if the talk about new hardware is even true. And that means that they’ll have the same problems as any other publisher. It’s not like they all bath in money.

Not sure what you mean with the above?

So an easy assumption is that we’ll see small titles go away, they’ll bet more on sure successes, more games as services with focus on dlc and expansions, more sequels, and small teams will become support teams for the biggest IPs as seen with Ubisoft and Assassin’s Creed and Activision Blizzard and Call of Duty.

Not really. Depends. Say FH5 and Halo MCC sell really well on the Switch 2 and PS5, or Indy is a PS5 best seller. Why wouldn't they continue making those sort of games?

I've playes Halo MCC and AoE2 to death on my Xbox, but I would 100% buy them again if they were on the Switch 2. No hesitation, especially with AoE2. A portable version of one of my all time favourite games, which could possibly use the Switch 2 Mouse feature? Microsoft, name a price and and I'll pay it!

Personally I don’t think what MS are doing now will work out at all, it’ll be a withering historical failure worthy of many published books.

Looking at their recent financials, it's working out just fine at the moment.

But I’ve been out of consoles for awhile now so I’m just glad all I spent on Xbox the last 5 years was Series X and two chunks of $5/month Gamepass prepaid deals. Not too bad.

And that's part of the problem why Xbox has failed. You, my son, me and probably many others weren't buying games, or getting around paying full price for GP.

I loved the original Xbox due to Sega’s games

360 started great but petered out around 2010.

Xbox One was where it truly went to shit, whatever they did to convince Americans to burly that thing didn’t happen in the rest of the world.

American Xbots seemed oblivious to the fact that no one else cared about it.

Now not even Microsoft cares that much about Xbox. Blue ocean beckons.

To be fair the og Xbox come out when I was at school (13 yrs old), myself and friends had PS2 and took the piss out of the Xbox calling it brick box ect. I read more about it and was also a low end PC gamer, I realised that the Xbox was the closest thing to a "PC Console". I would player in Internet cafes with my cousin at weekends aswell, so the upcoming Xbox Live release was big news for me also. Once I played Halo in person that was that, I had to have 1 and saved for ages on my paper round to get it. It took a while to transition properly from PS as I had the network adapter for that abd played online there aswell, but once Halo2 came out that was me over on Xbox as my main console.

Hard to say but I know from past financial talks that they make a decent amount of money from 3rd party game/mtx sales and I remember hearing that basic Gamepass alone just for online gameplay on console was pulling in a ton of cash each month.

If their store only exist on PC going forward and no online gameplay subs is needed I think it’ll be a deep cut in their financials and 3rd party support in general will wither away as with any other less popular platform/storefront.

And with consoles gone how could they keep Gamepass Ultimate if half of the service is gone? It’s console+PC. So that’ll cut the revenue in half there.

And how would they sell a new Xbox without a userbase and 3rd party support? Would be like starting over.

I also think Xbox Cloud on mobile and TV will disappear since it’s running on Series hardware and the games output on the service depends on new Xbox games getting released frequently, and if there is no console why would devs makes Xbox games?

And if there is no Xbox Cloud, then ”This is an Xbox” on mobile fails too. Bonus, will FTC and Ubisoft be satisfied with the deals made to close the ABK acquisition?

And so on and so forth etc etc yada yada yada I could go on forever. They’re gambling big time with little thought of the consequences as I see it…

There are many reasons but yeah they handed out a solution and as many others I jumped on it without hesitation. Did the same for PS+ Premium by converting from PSNow when they changed the service. And free Epic games of course.

Torture GIF by SYFY

Edit: This song could be used as some form of torture. I'm almost impressed because it's somewhat of a feat to create something so completely devoid of anything good from a musical perspective.
