(Yes, I love mechas) 😎🤖

This one is special since it's Spain's Opening of Saint Seya/Los Caballeros del Zodiaco and I can still sing it from memory more than 30 years later after just one round. I bet many adults can :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Obvously lots of good ones like Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z, or Stand Alone Complex

But for me, the GOAT was and always will be...

Just blew my mind. The second part, when the synth starts, still sends shivers down my spine since 1995. As much as I love Miyazaki's corpus and many other anime series and movies, there's still two perfect works of art and awesomeness that still reign supreme above them all: Akira, and Ghost in the Shell. Ghost in the Shell goes firsts because the beauty of all of it it's just too much ❤️

Twin Peaks, The X Files, Ghost in the Shell, True Detective with the epic Far From Any Road by The Handsome Family, Death Note, Bubblegum Crisis... All good stuff.

Here are my top picks.

Fargo - Film

Patlabor 2: The Movie - Animated film

Battlestar Galactica - TV Show

Ergo Proxy - Animated TV Show

A good title sequence requires a memorable song/score in my opinion. A couple off the top of my head I remember vividly. I struggle to remember ones from films but series are easier since I heard them every episode.

You probably already know this, but for anyone who doesn't, the band who performed that theme song is They Might Be Giants. They've been around since the early to mid 80s, and they have around 20 albums at this point.

And here's another fun bit of TV theme trivia: The opening theme for Pee-Wee's Playhouse was performed by Cyndi Lauper.

to give some modern shows some love, the weird and wonderful severance opening which perfectly captures the feel of the show

same with From, although its a bit long in the tooth

And finally cant skip on ol Micky Jags with Slow horses

And here are some older themes that stick with me for no particular reason (that arent' just sitcoms like friends, how i met your mother etc)

Finally gotta add the goat of Matt Groenings work.

Every time I see/hear the 20th Century Fox opening fanfare, I expect it to be followed by a Lucasfilm logo and the opening crawl to Return of the Jedi:
