Your top 5 genres?

Hmm, maybe:

Action/Adventure
Platformer
Puzzle
Metroidvania
Hack n Slash
I really like metroidvania structured level design as long as it complimentary rather than the main appeal of a game. I didnt like metroid dread much for that reason.

I'm retarded?
Crpgs(bg, pathfinder, etc.), imm sims(deus ex, dishonored, etc.), metroidvania/soulslike( dark souls, hollow knight, etc.), action rpg's(cyberpunk, mass effect, etc.), stealth(splinter cell, hitman, deus ex, etc.)

edit: yeah I know most of the stealth stuff are immersive sims like dishonore/dex but whatevs.

Shooters
RPG
Moba (Paragon/Smite)
Action/adventure
Survival(?)

Only counting moba because Paragon: Overprime is being prepared for release on PS5 and I only play Smite because waiting for Overprime on PS5 is taking forever.

Survival because I needed a 5th genre.

3. First or third person linear atmospheric shooter with a heavy dose of environmental storytelling, puzzles & exploration (Half Life, Doom, Dead Space, Alien Isolation)
4. Third person linear action-adventure "ghost train rides" (Tomb raider, Uncharted, Guardians of the Galaxy, God of War)
5. CRPGs (BG3, Dragon Age)
6. Open world adventures with RPG elements (which is basically most AAAs today - Cyberpunk, Witcher, the new AssCreeds, GTA, RDR2, Spider-Man, Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima, etc)

1. Fighting Games (Both 2D and 3D like Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6). I do not consider Arena Fighters as fighting games.
2. Tactical Turn Based games (Jagged Alliance 3, Tactics Ogre, FF Tactics, Fire Emblem, Shining Force)
3.Survival Horror (Resident Evil, Alan Wake)
4. 3rd Person Action Games (TLOU/Uncharted)
5. JRPGs (Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest)

MudoSkills

Volcano High Alumnus (Cum Laude)
In no particular order:

Rhythm games
Turn-based RPGs
Action Adventure
Shmups
Fighting games

1) Metroidvanias
2) Character Action/Hack n Slash
3) RPG (preferably Action, but sometimes others)
4A) Shooters (Single player, preferably Boomer Shooters or Immersive Sim variety)
4B) Action/Adventure
5) Survival Horror (No boring ass walking sim ones where you just run away)

1. Spending hours downloading mods, and never playing the games. Asseto Corsa for example.

2. Never being motivated enough to play games.

3. Spending money on games.

4. Destiny 2...a game akin to chasing turkeys, only for the reward to be, plucking the feathers of turkeys, and then getting bird flu.

5. Watching people play games.
