And so the saving for Miyabi begins. Should have 14,5K polys saved just from dailes and remaining IKM sub alone in 91 days + extra polys and tapes from evererything else.

I'm just skipping every banner until Pulchra releases, Not going to risk running out of Polycrhomes when the time comes. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
Who's Pulchra? I haven't done the new main story stuff with the Calydonia group yet, so I'd imagine she's from there?

Anyways, pretty good Burnice cosplay:

I've read rumors on reddit that she's supposed to be playable. But that sounded more like wishful thinking.
It sure does to me too. I mean, she's cool and has a great personality I like, but I don't see her as a playable character unless they're going to do a complete 180 from SOC and let us play as "bad guys". Speakin' of which, I think there's just too much fluffy, good and positive stuff in the game when it comes to factions we've seen so far.... well, maybe Jane is a sort of outlier, but I wish factions weren't so one note and 100% good and righteous all the time.

One can argue that VH is more secretive, mysterious and not so one note out of all factions available in the game. Like, I haven't completed Lycaon trust quests yet, but I did for Ellen and Corin, and then when you talk to Alexandrina, start doing her quests and such, you'll get the feeling that even though she's talking to you a lot, she's far more than what she allows for you to see and not telling you everything.

Moreover, there's this thing at the end of their story chapter, where they're clearly showing that they're way more than just a Housekeeping service people, there's way more to them and we haven't seen anything yet if anything at all really. Man, I like this faction in the game the most and they had the best story chapter in the game imho with this huge abandoned tower, great bone chillin' atmosphere and vibe to it, I just didn't want it to stop really.

Anyway, I'd love to see a different side of the Outer Ring and play as Pulchra in her dedicated special story just like they did one for Jane, that'll be cool af actually and much different tone wise, just like Jane's story was.

Supposedly according to dataminers her game files are those of a playable character.
I... just don't know how they'll make it work though story wise, but if I were to guess then I can see them making a special episode where she can join SOC at the end. Her interaction with SOC and Burnice in 1.2's story are one of the best moments in the game.

So I took a small break from playing Metaphor ReFantazio to build up my Burnice, and I'm almost done. I just need to level the passive two more times and the skills two more levels. I'm using Chaos Jazz (4pc) and Swing Jazz (2pc for energy regen), and I also bought the pass for the Electro Lip Gloss W-Engine (there's no way I'm pulling for her signature engine with my terrible RNG).

Now I have Burnice, Jane Doe, and Koleda basically fully built, along with a low level M6 Lucy. I experimented with Burnice, Jane Doe, and Koleda, and it works very well IMO. That said, do you guys think I should replace Koleda with M6 Lucy for my disorder team (It will take me a while to lvl up Lucy but if it makes for a better team I don't mind going through the lvl up process)?

I've got dupes of Piper's engine (which is maxed all the way) so I gave her this cool boar W-Engine. Sure, it's second stat is not AP, but it's better than the Electro Lip for her specifically cuz she has 3 buffed stats (Attack, AP and ER) and it's better to not waste a disc on attack stat and instead get the fire damage one and bust her fire damage way more than Chaos Jazz will, so in the end you'll get all 3 buffed stats + a decent fire damage one as well so 4 in total instead of just 3 with the Electro Lip.

You still have to deal with RNG though even with the tuning thing which sucks A LOT.

Lucy is not a good fighter tbh even though she has buffed Attack stat while being a support agent (go figure) - in my case she's C6, lvl 50 with lvl 50 W-Engine. Her damage is low, her Ultimate is weak and she's just not doing good damage in combat at all. You'll get ER with Burnice as it's one of her buffed stats so you don't have to worry about that, Koleda also has great ER with Steam Oven. I think these are great teams - Caesar + Koleda + Burnice, Burnice + Koleda + Piper or Caesar + Burnice + Piper and S rank bangboos - Fire one (this one don't need for agents to be from the same faction to activate a buff) or the biker one if you have him already. I like Lucy and her boars, but man does she not a good damage dealer and not a good support character and you don't even need one when it comes to fire team. I can't believe I'm saying this, but after trying him out at lvl 60 trial,... if you need a third fire character, you're better off building Ben as a fire Defence character for the fire team cuz he's doing great fire damage and also an excellent defence character and can shield agents. Have you tested his lvl 60 trial? Ben will aslo team up with Koleda for special combat interactions and additioanal damage and attack moves.

I forgot to mention that I have Anomaly Proficiency on Disc 4, Fire DMG on Disc 5 and Anomaly Mastery on Disc 6. Electro Lip seems to be best suited for the disorder team that I'm going for due to the high up-time of anomaly stacks on enemies so I won't be using any substitute other than maybe her BiS signature engine which I said I won't be pulling for anyway.

I don't have Caesar, and Jane Doe is much better than my M2 Piper in a disorder team (and in general) so I'm not swapping Jane Doe for her. Also, now way I'm using Ben as I hate his play style and character design. Just need a sensible suggestion on that 3rd slot for my disorder team preferably from the 2 agent choices I've said earlier: Jane Doe + Burnice + ???

Oh and here some of the other agents that are currently in no teams: Lycaon (got him recently and will probably use it in my Ellen - Soukaku ice team), M6 Anby, M1 Seth, M1 Nekomata.

Idk how effective it is to buff AM if it's not the main buffed stat, but my guess is that if they're giving you specific buffed stats, that's what you should be going for when it comes to building agents. The shit thing about discs is that they're locking some stat buffs only to the main stat, so you can't get AM as a sub stat for example and so on + there's no agents in the game with the buffed AM stat at all.

I mean, when it comes down to it, it doesn't really matter cuz you can do just fine without min-maxing, it'll save you a lot of resources, energy battery, etc. The rewards for all the Shiyu defence are shit anyway and must be WAY better for people like me at least to make me even think about min-maxing, not to mention doing it religiously and not pull my hair out while dealing with RNG, but when you have BS 30 polys as rewards... just FOFF. If I can do it without min-maxing, fine, if not - whatever, I have better things to do with my life and free time.

I don't have Caesar, and Jane Doe is much better than my M2 Piper in a disorder team (and in general) so I'm not swapping Jane Doe for her.
Do not underestimate Piper, she's a killing machine and physical anomaly god which can destroy groups of enemies with anomaly blasts like a hot knife can easily go through butter. She's C6 in my case and her spin move lasts even longer with mindscape buffs (I've all 6 of them). I think Neko has no place in the game anymore, but not Piper, not just yet. And you need Piper for the second physical team to go through the endgame crap, unless you like Billy and Corin more or have already build Neko.

Also, now way I'm using Ben as I hate his play style and character design.
His lvl 60 trial changed my mind a bit when it comes to him, but I'm not building him... cuz... well, I've Caesar.
Just need a sensible suggestion on that 3rd slot for my disorder team preferably from the 2 agent choices I've said earlier: Jane Doe + Burnice + ???
You basically need an agent with a great anomaly buildup rate and a bangboo to support it if you're going for a triple disorder over a second fire or physical agent. If it's double disorder and you're going to fight enemies which are weak to fire and physical damage - Burnice + Koleda + Jane, if it's tripple disorder... Idk, I haven't tested it well yet, but what's for sure is that you'll need a bangboo which can do anomaly buildup for a third agent... I'd try Zhu and Resonaboo first and see if it works. I mean, Zhu has insane damage if you build her right with Crit Rate and Crit Damage as well as her special which increases anomaly buildup and has an AOE (even though small in terms of how wide it is). With Zhu, if you don't get a third disorder, at least you'll clear everything much faster. Ellen is also a good option to try for the same reason and her AOE attack is wider. From what I've heard, Ellen has the best mindscape out of all agents in the game as well which can totally change how she plays.

Oh and here some of the other agents that are currently in no teams: Lycaon (got him recently and will probably use it in my Ellen - Soukaku ice team), M6 Anby, M1 Seth, M1 Nekomata.
My Lycaon is lvl 45 and Idk which engine to use on him yet, it doesn't look like there's good enough options for ICE stunners in the game other than a dupe of Steam Oven... or a signature one... for which you need to waste a lot of polys and tapes and it's not an A rank one so you won't get a rate up for any standard S rank W-Engine.

Ice team is Soukaku + Lycaon + Ellen. Soukaku can't deal massive damage, but she can freeze enemies relatively quickly with her special to trigger a shatter, she has an AOE attack just like Lycaon and Ellen. Lycaon is an insane stun machine even more so than Koleda. The thing is though.... well, sure, there's Ice and Either challenges in the game, but the Ice team is not really needed yet, not unlike a good fire team which is now a thing as Burnice is here. I think when Miyabi will be released, we'll see more and more Ice specific challenges and stuff so we'll have time to build Ice team and there's no third Ice character in the game yet anyway so I don't think that it's a good idea to focus on ice just yet and waste resources, unless you're willing to pay for it and swimming in money.

Fron what I tested so far in the latest combat challanges, really well build Zhu (for example) can really make a difference even without dupes and 3 buffs from agents and a bangboo, meaning you can slot her into the fire team for example and she'll crit the fuck out of enemies and will trigger disorder as well.

I disagree with your assessment of lucy completely lol
But to each his own, if you already have built koleda theres no reason to build lucy for that team

I'd love to read some arguments though... :messenger_beaming:

...cuz I really don't see the point in Lucy anymore unless you want SOC dialogue interactions during combat🤔

Koleda can also build anomaly much faster if you're fighting enemies weak to fire. Here's what I'll say though, if you have Lucy and Koleda on the same team, you can spam Lucy + Koleda quick assists to build anomaly faster and given that these girls are both Fire damage specific, well, you get the point. But Koleda is good even without Lucy. I mean, hell, everyone thinks that S11 is not good, but I think she's better than Lucy at dealing damage as well as fire damage and she's much faster and have Crit Rate and Crit Damage buffs, but... you still have to get her first, which is not as easy as it sounds for obvious reasons. You can also easily replace lucy with an S rank fire banbgoo which'll save you some time during timer based challanges.

I can see only one situation where you'll need Lucy in your fire team - if you don't have Burnice, S11 and like Ben. Burnice can do on her own just fine as the only fire dealing agent and with Caesar (provided you have her) as a support she'll burn alive everything with zero interuptions and will be triggering disorder.

Finished all the training missions at HIA and still nothing lol, going through the rest of the agent sorry quests which I never did and wrapping up shiyu Defense. Disputed Node 8 is a bit of a pain, keep getting A rank. But I’m close. Have the new critical node at 5/7 and stopped there last night.

Don’t care what anyone (or the game) says, Piper is a S rank agent for sure lol

Ok, stable, disputed, Ambush all S rank now. Nice.

Spent most of the day listening to an audio book and following a guide, all MewMew missions done… still nothing

I really value off-field damage and m6 lucy does it. Also, being a support Lucy's ult gives the next unit in line 50 energy and gives a quickswap, it also doesn't have bad damage. If I just want to juice Lucy's ult I can do close to 1 mil damage during stun on Lucy's ult. Which isn't anything too special but for a support I would argue that's not a negligible amount of damage.

Also I really like the little piggies raining down during both burnice and piper ex.

P.S. building fire anomaly on Koleda and Lucy will reduce the damage of Burnice's fire anomaly, anomaly damage is calculated by percentage of who contributed and their stats...and Koleda and Lucy will have less anomaly proficiency+attack than Burnice.
Also, Lucy has really long iframes on her dodge counter, it bailed me out a lot on the Shiyu ambush nodes where you just have to survive.

Well, after squeezing every last drop out of the game I finally got Burnice!

Other then some random achievements here and there, I’ve done nearly everything the game has to offer lol
Last time I did a grind like this was for Raiden in Genshin.

A lovely Saturday, pretty much been at it all day and even order pizza so I wouldn’t have to cook 😅

Feels good, but man, I’m now completely at the mercy of new events and story updates for tapes.

Thanks Agent_4Seven Agent_4Seven & ap_puff ap_puff for sharing your thoughts. I'll probably give Lucy a shot in the disorder team I mentioned since I have her at M6 anyway. It's just going to take a little while to build her up.

I used Lucy for ambush node 5, Part2 - Caesar, Lucy, Piper, Red Moccus

Part 1 I used Billy, Koldea Ben, RocketBoo

I think Lucy is good, but not for her own personal damage, who would even rate her based on that lolol?!
She’s a support!
she’s only there to buff other team members and provide a bit of fire damage/build up, she’s not an attack unit, so of course her personal damage is going to be low, but she should never ever be on the field that long anyway. She comes in does her EX special and leaves, that’s it. Makes me curious to see how other people are even playing the game.

Is there a particular node you’re stuck on?

no worries, koleda is still a fine choice, I only have her built to level 40 and she is an excellent stunner. I haven't done any math or whatever to see who's actually better...I could be influenced by the fact that I find Lucy's tsundere character to be cute af and have since day one (also salty that I lost to koleda twice on 50/50)

Oh don't mention it:messenger_waving::messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

I still have 3 nodes left to S rank before refresh, so it'll be interesting to see which agents work together well without the faction or element pairing. I'll do some experiments and maybe post some thoughts later:messenger_relieved:

ap_puff ap_puff all good points there. I guess I just wanted something different from her given that she has an Attack focused buff as a support agent:pie_thinking:

Man I've been trying to catch up on optional quests before I dig in to the new story stuff, and as soon as I complete a few, 10 more pop up. I have no idea how you guys are already done with this stuff already with nothing left to do. I've put in at least 3 hours the past 2 days each and still have 10+ quests in my list.

Then again, I've been going back through and collecting boxes/stuff I missed. The Auto-explore feature is pretty handy but as far as I can tell, you can only use it on Explore type stages, so you actually have to go in and play the Rally stages and find all the secrets. Those are my favorite type of stages though, so I'm enjoying it.

As of now, I'm 100% done with up to chapter 2 interlude, and currently working on the chapter 3 stuff. My weakness continues to be Electric challenge stages, as I just can't deal with those shield enemies quick enough to get all 3 orbs (usually missing the one for being over x minutes to finish the stage). Kinda wish I had Grace, but I think that new pink haired big tiddy office lady is coming up soon, and she's the same niche as Grace, probably stronger since she's limited banner. She can't come soon enough. My Qingyi is very strong but just doesn't apply enough Electric anomaly to cause shock in a reasonable amount of time to deal with those shields.

I'm really glad I ended up rolling for Jane, she's just an insanely strong character and is totally carrying my under-geared ass through content. Sadly I'll probably never touch Nekomiya again, which sucks because she's a fun character, just worse in all ways compared to Jane. And they're not even the same category of character.

I'm about ready to uncap to 60, but I've been holding off until I finish the new story chapter since everything will get level bumped and I'll have to waste time to hit the new level cap before I can do it. Got enough pre-farmed to get Jane/Caesar/Qingyi and Ellen to 60 immediately so I won't be too far behind, well except Dennies. I always feel like I'm Dennie broke in this game at any given time.

Shame that the quest quality took such a nosedive after chapter 2. There were always somewhat interesting stories and some interesting gimmicks at play at first, but now it's just repeating the same mission types and general story beats over and over. The Ballet Twins quests have very much felt like just going through the motions so far.

For electric don’t discount Anby and Anton, I use them both. Lots of the starting characters are pretty good. The way I see it this is the only time they will be good, near the launch of the game, after the first year or so they will likely start to fall behind like all gacha games, so the start is really the only time those characters have a chance to shine. If you can deal with the Bro, he’s not too bad and puts out decent damage. But ya, grace helps for sure. Also ya from what I’ve seen Jane is the hyper version of Piper, who is already insanely powerful. Between her and Ellen you should be pretty good. Many stages of the game I will just use my most powerful character regardless of enemy weakness, unless they specifically resist it, so that’s something to keep in mind too. Like I don’t have many ice characters, but lots of time physical works just fine against them so it doesn’t matter in the end. Just avoid what the enemy is weak too and bring whoever else you want. Some nodes in SD I didn’t use the suggest element at all and still S Ranked it lol

As far as completion goes I’ve just been playing since day 1, and have kept up with the story quests, and have done a little bit of stuff everyday more or less, with a couple grinding sessions (like yesterday) and now I literally have nothing left, all mewmew, hard mode, inferno reap, SD (except critical node 6) at S, etc done lol. The game is much faster to get through then say Genshin where you have a world map to explore which is far more time consuming.

And yes, the Rally stages are the best. Hoping for more of those in the future.

I got all the characters I use to 50/50 (lvl/weapon) before I did the level cap for 60.

Maybe you could pair Neko and Jane together for some events/stages for a “super” assault team or something, not sure as I don’t have Neko. But if it’s a physical weak stage there’s no harm in loading up a bunch of physical characters.

Edit.
Yes! Finally got Critical Node 6
Part 1 - Zhu, Nicole, Caesar, ResonaBoo
Part 2 - Billy, Lucy, Piper, RocketBoo

Part 1 says Physical weakness, and Ice resistance so I just used my Ether team lol. Shadow Jane didn’t stand a chance.

That’s it, every single node, every mode
S Rank. Guess I just wait for a refresh now.

What would be best to upgrade? Best bang for the buck. It always feels as if there are construction sites open everywhere and I never have enough of anything. Level up all characters and enginges I use to 60? Or even Bangboos? My discs are also very bad for the most part. Which of the upgrades would help me the most?

If you're suffering for resources, don't level everything to 60. Bangboo aren't really necessary to get to 60, support/stun characters and their weapons don't need to be 60. The only thing that really makes a difference is main DPS and their weapons up to 60, and raise their important talents to 10. Stun characters don't need to level any talents except whatever their main source of stun is (for example caesar you really don't need to level anything other than her EX and her assist skills because those are the ones you'll be using most; she's going to be spending most of her time off-field). IMO level-wise you're fine where you're at now, just focus on getting your DPS character talents and core skills up. Rest of your energy should either be spent farming discs or pre-farming if there's an agent coming up that you want.

*edit* your discs are bad so you should focus all your energy on that, that'll give you the best improvements. And don't forget to dismantle and use bardic needle to focus your drive disc rolling

I don’t have any bangboos at 60 lol, all still 50.

You have a good spread of characters, I’d maybe take Grace, Nicole and Piper (although you have Jane) to 60, how are your skills for the characters? Get those up too, makes a big difference, have all my main characters at least lvl9 in their relevant skills.

I have all my character core skills the A, B, C, D ones up to D filled in.

And yes, discs, gold discs up to lvl 15 for everyone you use is a must. As long as you get the main stats right you should be good. Sub stats are a great bonus however, but don’t kill yourself over them.

There’s even a way to check in game now what players are using and it’s an excellent reference for how to build them. But ya if levels and skills are built it’s time for discs. After I got Billy a set of proper Gold discs he basically became a new character lol, huge power increase.

Grace is really bad lol, unless you just like her a lot...I just wouldn't invest in her ever

What would be best to upgrade? Best bang for the buck. It always feels as if there are construction sites open everywhere and I never have enough of anything. Level up all characters and enginges I use to 60? Or even Bangboos? My discs are also very bad for the most part. Which of the upgrades would help me the most?

My teams are zhu/caesar/nicole and Burnice/jane/lucy, just finished S shiyu as a below-average player with everyone 60, except Lucy who was 51. My discs are bad too, but I have F skills on all of them.

Oh is she? I don’t know, she seems pretty good at applying shock? I’m not a super huge fan of hers but I got her from the standard banner and built her up.

I like running her and Piper together

I don't like Grace's style of play at all. All lvl 50 and + characters are at least on D and skills mostly 8 and above.

Heh, until recently I was just trying to have all my team members on field for similar amounts of time each. It feels like a waste to have all those animations, attacks, voice clips if they're only going to be there onscreen for one second at a time, maybe they should have designed those as "assist" characters.

I feel like full intensity explore mode is harder then full intensity blitz mode in withering garden.

Maybe part of it was that I got crappy resonia on my runs yesterday, but it felt like pulling teeth. I actually did a restart at one point too.

No disrespect to the actors, but I just can't stand English VA in this game. It makes you feel like you're playin' some 5 yo kids game FFS.
Those promo videos about new version update with absolutely terrible artstyle and cringe af dialogues is even worse... and there's one coming this Friday.
Ugh, totally not watchin' this crap after suffering through the previous one. Good lord, no way.

So what exactly is Pen Ratio % and who wants it? Is it just defense ignore with a different name? Do attackers want it, or is it more an anomaly/stun stat? I've been trying to farm some discs for my main characters but I'm unsure which stats they want.

Here's my Alexandrina with her lvl 60 signature W-Engine:
XvyAAbQ.jpeg
She's the one and only agent in the game which is supposed to have a high PEN Ratio and PEN. PEN is damage penetration towards anomaly resistances enemies have, so basically the higher the PEN Ratio and PEN are, the higher ignore of enemy resistance towards Fire, Electric etc. you get.

I guess you can give an agent W-Engine with PEN Ratio, so as Discs with additional damage they can do in addition to what they already have, but I don't think this is how it is supposed to work and how the devs envisioned it. It makes sense for Support characters to have PEN Ration cuz they're not meant to be huge damage dealers and have a long time on field, so it helps to have a high PEN Ratio and PEN for them to ignore enemy's resistance and deal decent damage that way when they can and when it needed.

I mean, look at my Alexandrina, she also has a decent Attack so she deals pretty decent damage thanks to insanely high PEN Ratio and decent Anomaly Proficiency. It doesn't make sense to design high damage or anomaly agents towards PEN Ratio and PEN cuz they're already insanly good at what they do and with PEN they'll shread everything in a matter of seconds. Anyway, I hope I've explained it well.

Idk why only Alexandrina was designed to have high PEN Ratio though (there's 3 more support agents in the game) and they haven't done it ever since.

1.3 looking really good and def all-in on lighter.

Pen ratio is defence ignore and pen is a flat def reduction, so pen ratio is better for high defence enemies while pen works better on the low defence mobs, though they stack so with enough pen ratio, pen will work great on high defence enemies too.

Everyone wants this stat, but you don't want to sacrifice too much of their main stat or the stat that gives them passive buffs, though if a character gets big elemental damage buffs in their kit already, pen ratio would be a better stat to improve instead of tacking on more and more elemental damag.

How can you tell which enemies are high defense vs. not? Is it just safe to assume that bosses are high def? I guess with your second point "everyone wants it but don't focus it" it doesn't really matter.

I was mostly asking because I have some decent disks from the Pen Ratio set as a side effect of farming the Fire set for a few of my Fire characters, not sure who the 2PC could go to.

Yup, I did some diggin' and it actually has nothing to do with Resistances. But they aren't making clear which enemies / bosses have high DEF so it's trial and error for us to figure out, which I don't think is a good design at all.

How can you tell which enemies are high defense vs. not?
You can't tell, they aren't providing any stats for enemies and bosses, only their weakness and resistance - Fire, Electic etc.

Is it just safe to assume that bosses are high def?
More like they have an inflated HP pools in comparison to regular enemies (which can also have inflated HP pools in SD).

The way they're doing combat challenges btw are basic af and boring lazy BS - inflate HP pools and damage, create and illusion of challange. Don't even get me started on timers. I'll just be skipping most of the SD crap from now on.

I was hoping we get more A ranks.
Yeah, they aren't even giving 100% F2P people alternatives for Zhu, Ellen and so on which clearly shows what their true priorities are.

Overall it looks like a filler patch.
We'll see when it comes to story, but I'm skipping every 1.3 character. It looks like they'll be doing this everytime now - short main story update, even shorter episodes, short main story update and so on.

We don't know enemy stats no, but it's indeed elites and bosses that have high defence, especially in shiyu defence and withering garden with all the modifiers on.

If your fire character is already packed with fire damage increases naturally, a pen ratio increase would probably work better on them, I believe nekomata works the same way for physical damage increases.

Flat pen is kinda bad, although pen works better the more you stack it so if you have high pen ratio flat pen becomes decent. Enemy defense generally scales with enemy level.

The damage formula for zenless is kinda complicated but just think of pen ratio and defense reduction as competing and similar things.
