It's still a Plague Doctor, not a Witch Doctor. If he'd be a Witch Doctor he'd have some kind of voodoo attire or something.
Excuse my smartassness but it just bugs me that too many people keep calling this Zero a Witch Doctor when he's obviously a Plague Doctor.

Witch Doctor = Caribbean voodoo thingamajigg
Plague Doctor = The people you also see in Assassin's Creed II for example.

So does this mean we'll be playing the perspective of a different player from each team? I doubt we'll be playing from Sigma, Junpei, Phi or Akane's view. They all seem like at that point, they're too well defined as characters.

We know who the player characters for each team are.

They're
Carlos for Team C(Junpei/Akane), Q for team Q (Eric/Mila) and Diana for team D (Sigma/phi)

FWIW I'm going to keep pressing for the Phido theory even if I think it's the stupdiest thing.
There simply is too much evidence for it for me to not joke about it.

The series was entirely focused on a few characters, all present in the other teams. That means that if we have a team composed of strangers, at one point the story will have to be about them and I'm looking forward to that moment.

Hah, of course you can't play as Sigma, Phi, or Junpei.

Any particular reason Carlos is the only character sheet on the website that says "protagonist" next to his name?

Thing is that Carlos is the only one where it says "Hero" or "Protagonist" in paranthesis (sp?).
Pretty sure he's supposed to be the overall main protagonist of the game.

Maybe Carlos is just the "main" protagonist, like Junpei or Sigma before while the others are more deuteragonists like Phi in VLR?

EDIT: I just read the translation of the website on gematsu and I am VERY happy to see that Diana's Japanes voice actress will indeed be the same as Luna's, which means I will DEFINITELY play this game on parallel on two save files, one with the English voice over and one with the Japanese voices.
I seriously LOVED Luna's Japanese voice. She was just perfect for the character and I believe she will do a smiliarly amazing job with Diana.

What if
it's more like how Junpei was the "protagonist," but all the thoughts and narration were by someone else? Carlos could be the real protagonist, and the other two may be occupied by different consciousnesses. Or Carlos himself is controlling the other two to get information for the passwords?

Very interesting!
I think it's important to remember that protagonist does not always mean main character or playable character.
Side characters can be playable, as can antagonists. ;)
