No, people got SSD confused with SS2 because of a screw-up in the translation.
I thought so.

You just need to look into this man's eyes to know if SS2 is in development.

Wow. Surprised they got Killzone Mercenary. How does that even work? They gonna patch touch stuff out of the regular Vita version?

There would be no reason to patch it out of the regular version. I'm sure any game has a way to check which machine/os it's running on.

PSTV was basically made for me. I love my vita to pieces, but I also have a ps4 that doesn''t get as much playtime as I want because it's fixed in one room and I've got a family. Now I can remote play to another tv... brilliant.

I have always wanted a good solution to put certain psp games on the big screen, and now I can. I even bought the various cables to do it with my psp, but it was always too cumbersome. This is perfect.

Was excited for it, then I learned that my early-adopter kickstarter backing isn't able to get the Vita version and they didn't allow backers to add the additional funds to get it. Kind of killed it for me. Really not the way to say thank you to the early adopters, more like a kick in the balls!

Ouch that really does suck, I'm sorry to hear that.

I think it's the "realistic" textured fantasy games that I'm having problems with, I would also like a similar patch for things like the souls games (dark/demon, not SS/SSD).

I get the feeling that some developers underestamate my possibility to emerge with fictional worlds when the reality is that "realistic" worlds isn't the same as believable worlds to me. Naturally, worlds that are based on the perception we have of our own reality have a bigger chance of reaching the uncanny valley IMO and I wish that more games used the strength of the medium and created worlds that were as far from our own reality as possible.

Edit: The worst thing to me is when they make anime-like characters in a photo-based textured world (jump victory vs(?), one piece mosou, natural doctrine, VK3 etc. The problem with this as I see it is that they can't make the shaders and lighting blend well with the art direction.
To me VK3 is the closest we can get to a western rpg(other than Borderlands 2 i guess), almost like Dragon Dogma and Soul series that i don't consider pure "japanese" rpgs , it's not just an aesthetic matter(more realistic design vs anime design) though.

VK3 has some weird and original choices(and that's probably why i like it, i love unique games that try new things), one of those is that "map-wise" is not that far from a metroidvania.
Like in metroidvania games the game is open world but many locations are blocked at the beginning, in metroidvanias you reach those locations thanks to new abilities, in VK3 you reach those location after obtaining certain keys, or after completing some side/story missions, there's backtracking too.

I know you created a thread about this, but it's really worth mentioning that I don't think any of their answers are 'arrogant', 'stupid', or anything else.

They should be mentioning remote play in regards to Vita every chance they get. In fact, if they weren't, people would be complaining that they weren't. Instead of your post, we'd be hearing 'why the heck didn't [sony employee] mention you'll be able to play TLOU on vita through remote play when asked if Vita would get TLOU?!?'.

It's not only proper for them to mention it, it would be remiss for them not to. You really shouldn't take it personally, or as assuming all Vita owners have a ps4. It's just them bringing up a great feature.
When they talk about PS4 games they never mention Vita or remote play, they mention remote play only when someone ask about Vita, if they really wanted to advertise remote play they should talk about it even without questions about Vita.

Oh come on! Boo this guy,

It's not a AAA or first party title, it's not being announced for about two weeks (as far as I know) and it hasn't been announced for any other platforms in the past (it's not a port).

That's all I'm saying 'til I get the word otherwise, aside from the odd "it's not that" response and maybe one more tiny hint down the line.

Don't worry, I won't get myself in trouble. ;)

I'm thinking about buying a PSP since I never had one and the Vita doesn't support all games plus has the multi account restriction which makes PS1 games unattractive to play on it as well.
The big question is: which model should I get?
I read mixed impressions about the screens of each model. Does anyone know how big the difference is? So far I read, that the 2000 might be the best but has ghosting while the 3000 has this problem improved but scanlines and about the E1000, good but not as good as the 2000. Pretty vague to make a decision.
I don't know any shops around here that sell used PSPs so I have to rely on ebay/amazon marketplace which can be a bit risky with used handhelds and screen conditions.
The E1000 is easily available to buy new, which would be great to have one in new condition but the price is relatively high for a device that is overall a downgrade in several aspects. While the downgrades don't sound like a big problem for me I wouldn't want to pay that much when games even look worse. So how does the screen compares to the 2000 and 3000 model?

Those "Plus" for Atelier games sure put tears on my face, but they are tears of joy.

Vita means TV :|

So when those people who said they don't want to buy a Vita because they want to play the game on big TV screen, they mean to ask Sony to make a bigger Vita?

I'd be interested in getting a Vita TV if Sony makes PS+ cloud sync less stupid and actually sync both ways. There was a time when I owned two PS3s, and making sure that my cloud saves were not overwriting each other was a real pain in the ass. When one of those PS3s died I replaced it with a PS4 instead so I wouldn't have to put up with that hassle anymore.

Looking at the NA list for PSTV and i noticed Toro Friend Network, don't tell me that it's available in NA?

Do we know what the + stands for, I guess extra content but have they talked about what it is?

Edit: or does the plus just mean that we'll be waiting longer than the IOS/Android users ;)
plus nothing :\

There are Vita games that have been demoed on PSTV in the west that aren't on that list.

There are PSP games that have been removed on that list.

There are no PSM games on that list.

SCEA don't care.

What are the chances that we will see more classic PC-games like Wasteland 2 and Beyond Earth on PS4?
Wasteland 2 is made in Unity as I understand it, so it should be pretty easy right?

When they talk about PS4 games they never mention Vita or remote play, they mention remote play only when someone ask about Vita, if they really wanted to advertise remote play they should talk about it even without questions about Vita.

They mention it sometimes, not 'never'. And that makes sense -- there is no need to mention vita everytime you talk about ps4. But if you're talking about AAA games on the Vita, it makes absolute sense to mention remote play.

It's not like if they stop talking about remote play we're suddenly going to be deluged in AAA vita games. Remote play IS the answer. So every time a journalist asks the question, they're going to get that answer.

There's no reason to be upset about it -- it'll sell some vitas. Not mentioning it would be far worse. I honestly don't understand even being a little bit bothered by it -- if I were Sony I'd be mentioning remote play every time the vita came up too.

I just don't see how mentioning remote play is any of the negative things you've said it is - 'stupid', 'arrogant'. I think it's great. It's proper messaging. They aren't saying everyone has a ps4... they're saying if you want to play upcoming AAA games on vita, remote play is your best bet. That's not stupid or arrogant, it's the truth. You may not like that truth, which is fine, but attributing words like 'stupid' and 'arrogant' to it just feels like bitterness. They're doing the best they can in a market that didn't adopt the vita. Be happy we all love it and are buried in backlog.
