Because some of us have to work I'd like to get a group together for doing this after i get home from work tomorrow. it's a perfect timeslot for other's in the midwest and even those on the east coast that would like to do some of the story missions before hand.

The narrator of the vid claims 4 pieces of new vendor gear will get you to 30, while 3 pieces+1 exotic will get you to 31. I previously heard 4 pieces of vendor gear will get you to 31 (as opposed to 3+exotic)

Effectively - make sure you're at your glimmer cap, you're going to need money. Also, if you get any special packages in the post from vanguard/crucible quartermasters, don't open them till Tuesday (when the DLC drops) and the same goes for handing in exotic bounties.

Aside from that, stockpile Black Wax Idols, you'll need them as a new currency.

My mistake, I can confirm 4 pieces will get you level 31. The new Vanguard/Crucible gear has 33 light per piece, and you need a total of 131 light to be 31 (33x4 = 132). But for 32 you WILL need Raid gear.

It's a level 30 raid, so minimum you need to be is 29. New gear will be introduced from vendors to get you to required level though.

Man I think I just screwed up big I finally this morning got crucible rank 2 and enough to buy a legendary arm and chest piece so I did. I only went from lvl 24 to 25 sadly. Now I see that in a video on this page I should of waited to buy those purple pieces until tomorrow and I'd be instantly at lvl 30. Can I dismantle them and rebuy them tomorrow or am I stuck?

dismantling them not gonna refund you the marks you used to buy them so yea, you're screwed until you can afford the marks for the armor again.
