Anyone know for sure if I can pre-load the game on the PS4? I've never preordered from the PS store. I'm probably gonna do that if I can preload it.

The patch is still gonna suck with how big it's sounding, but that's inevitable even with physical. I hate how slow the PS network downloads shit...

If I had to guess, Wave 2 (assuming Capcom sticks with the "6 characters per wave" format) could be...
  • Crimson Viper (heavy involvement in Bison's story, got a redesign)
  • Sean Matsuda (a decent amount of involvement in Laura's story, got a redesign)
  • Oro (a fair bit of involvement in both Karin & Dhalsim's stories)
  • Sakura (a little involvement in Karin's story)
  • Sagat (his statue was left at the Lair of the Four Kings even after he quit Shadaloo before F.A.N.G was recruited, which means that a model for Sagat may exist)
  • Either Akuma (too popular to leave hanging for too long, but I could see Capcom holding of on Akuma for Wave 3 to let Tekken have their fun with him), a newcomer (maybe Azam), or Decapre (involvement in Cammy's story & likely the Cinematic Story Mode)

Yes. Sony invested half a million dollars in the CPT. CPT is actually integrated INSIDE THE GAME. I've lost track of the number of time's "eSports" has been mentioned as a target for this game.

CPT is a HUGE part of Street Fighter 5, and there's no way they're going to "wait until next year", rather than just release early and add FREE content later.

Last year's EVO broke records and had 250,000 concurrent views during SF4 finals. CPT finals has more than 100,000 concurrent viewers. The tour is year long exposure and advertisement.

It might not be important to you, but it's important to Capcom and this game.

Dunno where to put this but has anybody seen this new "Street Fighter: The Novel"? Just saw this on my twitter feed retweeted by Yusuke Murata(guy who draws One Punch Man) and he is one of the names shown. I remember seeing him draw that Ryu/Akuma picture not to long ago in one of his live streams.

I have no idea. I played around with half the cast and still am not sure. I played claw mostly for one of the betas so I might stick with him for now. Nothing is really clicking with me right now.

I'm most interested in what guile and urien are going to be like but that's probably not going to be for another 6+ months.

Sakura, Sagat, and Akuma seem like a given. The other's you mentioned I don't see selling gangbusters for dlc (they just don't seem that popular), unless Capcom banks on those 3 selling a ton of season passes.

This is where I was the entirety of SFIV. Bounced around from Blanka to Ryu to Guile to Guy and never really could get into it like I wanted to.

As soon as I saw the Nash trailer I was excited and decided to main him months later the second I found out he was no longer a charge character. Loved him in the betas, I'm locked. Nash is the biggest reason I'm so much more excited for SFV than any other SF ever. I finally have a character.

sagat
is going to be season 2. His model in that stage, looks like his sf4 model.

I'll be playing Bison and FANG. I may wind up maining FANG, but I've been playing Bison for a couple decades and I know how easy it is to fall into old habits. FANG will still get whatever playtime of mine I don't spend on Bison though until Guile is added.

I enjoy everyone, but Chun-Li and Zangief. So, I don't know who I'm truly going to be sticking with a lot, but I can for sure say that Nash, Birdie, and FANG will be with me. If they don't change Alex much, then he will definitely be in my set of characters.

Crimson Viper is one of the more popular SFIV newbies, & Sean certainly has his fans.

This is the first fighter where I legitimately want to learn most if not all of the cast, but my primary mains will probably be Necalli and Nash.
