Everyone that has a pro and signed up for this should've had priority dammit, I'm a salty bitch.
Reading a comment on a dutch tech site; poster says that Dying Light runs 'a lot' better.
I remember indoor areas in Dying Light were constantly fluctuating between 30 and 60 because of double buffer vsync. Should be a major benefit there.
But it already runs at a pretty stable 30FPS in single player, it's the framepacing that causes the performance issues.Just want more stable 30fps. Don't care about frame pacing.
Ah shit here we goBloodborne loading times are noticeably better from comparing with and without Boost mode, hadn't progressed far with my current character so couldn't really get into any demanding scenes to compare performance.
The game struggles to keep 30fps, especially during MP. It most definitely can help.People it won't fix Bloodborne.
FRAME PACING remember. It won't fix that.

Old Yarnam should be enough to tell about framepacing.

That's certainly interesting since the Pro already loads many games faster. I never really bothered to tell if they were already patched for the Pro or not, but now it has me wondering what exactly boosts the load times in those games. I previously thought it had something to do with the faster HDD SATA connection. Maybe it still is, but for whatever reason, the Pro also makes it run at base PS4 speeds when running an un-patched game.
Now I'm seriously thinking about what SDD speeds would look like with Boost Mode enabled.
it works amazing with BMCould someone try Assasins creed Unity on boost mode?
I am reaaally curious in particular for this game.
I think its a great sample of what sort of improvements in performance boost mode brings.
Someone compare Fallout 4 before the pro patch next week. Just for fun![]()
Think this has removed the tearing in Yakuza 0 😎

I will agree with this. Just had a quick run around now, spinning the camera all over the place, plus a few appropriate Beast style fights. Seemed pretty smooth (and is saving quicker??)

I believe you. I have little doubt they did it intentionally to emulate the boss explosion slowdown that lots of shmup games have. But it's done in such a way that the slowdown is achieved by spamming so much crap on the screen that the machine gets bogged down, so I wonder if the boost mode here will power through that.
I'm downloading the 20 GB-patches now.
In offline single player it's more stable than a lot of other games. The framepacing however is absolutely terrible.BB does not run at a stable 30fps at all....
its what a friend said..no he cannot upload it its under NDACan you upload a video comparison or anything?

Seems Sony use the true RNG method
A) Fairly dormant account, only signs on occasionally, PS4 only owner
B) Daily user, PS4 and Pro, also uses PSVR
*system gives access to a)*

They are!?Digital foundry is salivating right now.
Musou games need testing, especially DQH. Also Toukiden, that was unlocked too.

Yep, First time I play a Battlefield game, I've just started my first match with Boost Mode.
Won 58-0.
Yep. You're already dead. That guy with 3 more frames than you is in Beast Mode.
Everybody's been asking for a BB Pro Patch...
Now that we've got a Beast mode, everybody's saying that BB's framerate is 30 fps stable and that the real issue is frame pacing?
Come on GAF, I know y'all want to Bloodborne Beast mode bae for tonight.
if a pro patch literally only adds 4k UI it would still by nature see the same benefits that this beast mode provides for non patched games because it's not running downclocked hardware
lol I think you know what I mean.
Previously on console I wasn't worrying about whether the other player had superior hardware that might give them the edge in a 50/50 situation. I'm confident I'll still be doing well in Rainbow 6, for example, but it's those close calls where you think you should have got them first that niggle at you.
I've said before that if there was a 'Pro' label beside the player on the scoreboard, like there is with Wii-Wheel players in Mario Kart, then I wouldn't mind it so much.
The reality is I was already looking at Switch as the only device I'll be doing PvP on for future releases, this just rains on my parade of being able to play older PS4 games without that feeling.
