TBH I never even really was against companies like SIE using platforms like Switch and Xbox for strategy multiplatform releases. But I pictured that'd be in the form of remasters and collections of much older games, to introduce those IP to other audiences and maybe drum them up for a new installment that's exclusive to PlayStation.

That is clearly not SIE's strategy with their multiplat strategy; their strategy (IMO) involves a good deal more risk to their own console but hey, we'll see what happens.
