It's damn good. I've tried horizontal west, gow rag, demon souls, and last of us. I have to give it to last of us so far. All look great though, but damn this is spectacular.

No I'm quite the guy actually! Check me out on Instagram 😅 Flex Woods

So now we get to the crux of the thread, you probably don't even play games ya big muscle man!

Too busy picking up heavy things and putting them back down in a different place, yes that's right, I know all the secret muscle techniques.

Yeah, it blew me away.
Haven't played much yet but stability in motion is unreal, as is this kind of IQ at 60fps in a technically heavy game, personally.

Unfortunately these shots are almost all from the same place, but as I've said I haven't played much. Grain is enabled here, but tried without it and it's uncanny.

Edit:

Something's seriously wrong with OP screenshots, they show the awful artifacts on a hair plaguing the game post patch after ND removed/altered their TAA solution to let PSSR handle temporal stability. They must be from the non-PSSR modes, and that's funny given the Thread title.

Holy shit, they look like bullshots.

I don't have a Pro, and don't really intend on getting one. I wonder if my 3080 can pull off visuals like this at 1440

Going to start this today. Played the remastered version so been a long time so a replay is due. I think when you first play a game your kinda lose the interest of how good it looks as your focused on the story and getting it done, for me anyway. So going to really take it all in with this and ff7 rebirth will after. I hope older games will keep getting patches aswell as new ones obviously it's just like a PC gpu upgrade and makes the pro really worth it.

Some of you need to put side by side shots because as someone that replayed it last month, I dont see any massive improvement at all unless you are pixel-peeping your reflection in a window.

Surely, there must be something more impressive than a 2-year-old PS3/4/5 game upgraded to a proper big-screen TV IQ? Wasn't it already 4K on the regular PS5 anyway?

DLSS isn't very good in this game last I checked, but maybe with DLAA?

4k on regular PS4? Lol no.

Just had some time to test this out and while the image does have more definition, it does cause thin lines to shimmer more than before. I'm also not liking the new artificial sharpening effect that was added in the latest patch. All in all, feels like two steps forward and one back. It's better but also in some ways worse. I'd like to have a toggle for the shapening filter. :/

At least 500 people wanted to make the exact same thread and you blocked it with emtyness just to be the first you internet fame hungry freak!

Not just part 1, part 2 is incredible too. pssr makes the game look sharper than than the original fidelity mode.

Very happy with this upscaler.
4090 getting a well deserved rest.

Absolutely. It is insane how good this looks. Better than old 4k mode and runs at 70+ fps!
I will repost my shots from yesterday

I usually leave film grain on but with this image quality, I am considering turning it off

Sorry, had to reupload elsewhere due to ImgBB bandwidth limit.

Not sure, base PS5 version runs at native 1440p and with this it's night and day literally, all around.
Even then when it comes to this particular game I would personally stay away from the PC version, still visually compromised in many different ways to this day.

No holes in the wall around the dartboard? Literally unplayable.

Just what it says, dunno. It's in the 50s on Rift Apart VRR, so maybe the C3 is misreading, but Rift Apart had more judder than TLOU.

Either way it's smooth.
I was getting the same thing in TLOUP2 and the uncharted collection(LG C1). It's definitely just miss reading it or it's not actually unlocked and the low framerate compensation is tripling the frames.

How's the framerate at fidelity unlocked? 60 FPS or still around 40?
By my eye, there appears to be about a 15 fps differential between fidelity and pro modes, with a slightly higher (20-25) fps differential between pro and performance. The latter showing the cost of PSSR.

I mean it's way smoother than the 40 target on base PS5.

119 FPS, lol.

Beastly.

So, if I understand correctly, fidelity unlocked runs at native 4K/120fps? Then, what's the purpose of the Pro mode? Just to show PSSR's muscles?

Btw, I played the intro part with Pro mode, and looks really really crisp.
