Except for Nintendo, who will probably keep doing their thing, with some subtle changes. Maybe do some multiplayer stuff on PC during the Switch 2's life. Like Splatoon etc.

In 4-5 years im sure you can play any game if you have a good PC and a Switch 2.

And of course, consoles will still be a good alternative for lots of folks! I'm always gonna have at least one of the newest console plugged to my TV.

As long as there are tangible launch delays between platforms there are exclusives. And that will continue. To not call that an exclusive strategy is in my opinion wrong.

In addition, there will be titles that are 100% platform exclusive even over time.

Jason's quote is willfully missleading. It is great that Sony and Xbox games come to the other console and to PC over time to maximize revenue potential, but that still means that exclusivity as a concept remains a strong part of their strategies.

I guess this is technically correct, but Lego is kind of a Switch thing due to kids targeted sales.

Rise of Ronin was Sony financed though I think. So probably will stay console exclusive, but will be interesting to see if it doesn't.

As far as SE, they already said they are done with exclusives and in general I agree we won't see many 3rd party ones unless console owner helps to pay for development.
