Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I'd say somewhat satisfied. Not every game that could benefit from a Pro patch has one. The ones that have been patched are excellent, but the gains for non-patched games seem pretty minimal.

I teetered between mostly satisfied and completely satisfied. I ended up voting completely satisfied because when I started thinking about the things I “want” they were nitpicking. The console meets my expectations now and is looking to improve even more in the future.

*plus I got that sweet anniversary edition. :)

Mostly dissatisfied. There are no new cool games to play on it, and the older ones I want to play I rather play on PC now. I platinumed Astro Bot at the year end and after that I don’t think I’ve powered it on. Should’ve launched it with a big exclusive 1st party game. Or they could’ve waited to launch it until Death Stranding 2.

But I like that there is no coil whine. It’s very silent.
My regular PS5 have coil whine and the noise trigger my tinnitus, extremely annoying.

Performance wise - fully satisfied.

MohHun Wilds would have been unplayable on the base unit for me, but it works pretty good on the Pro.
Future games will likely make even more difference.

But I wish it had a disk drive, as I was using my PS5 for bluray movies playback and had to get a dedicated player after switching to Pro.

Somewhat satisfied. The games I play look and run great, but there aren't that many of them. I only buy it for exclusives or PS5-only games because there's no guarantee third-party titles won't be garbage even on the Pro. Otherwise, I play them on my PC.

With GTA VI, and potentially DS2 and GOY, this could change for the better.

It's a C for me as of right now.

Weird to rate it on the basis of something that’s not a hardware issue (I.e., you game mostly on PC, therefore only use it for timed exclusives on occasion)

Very happy with it and we are just starting season 1. Horizont, Lords of the Fallen, TLOU games look and perform great.

Also it seems 2026 Will bring Big software updates...

I'm probably in the middle of "somewhat satisfied" and "mostly satisfied" lol. Primarily because PSSR is not consistently great across the majority of games. It's pretty great in a few titles, then there is a collection where it's pretty good, then there's a group where it's decent or a moderate improvement and then there's some poor implementations. I want it to be more consistently good to great. But as the AI model improves and developers implement it more it will steadily get better.

I'm still happy I got it because it's still usually a lot better than playing on base PS5 and Series X. FSR just produces awful image quality. The 2Tb SSD is nice and convenient too.

I didn't own a base PS5, so I rate the Pro as its own thing and not how it stacks up the base machine. This includes software and hardware.

You, on the other hand, probably judge it compared to the base PS5.

Mostly. My main issue is that I would have liked more older games patched, though many play much better even with no extra effort from developers. The difference is most obvious when I'm playing on the bedroom TV on the base PS5.

I'm happy with the increased performance but I would say disappointed with the legacy boost mode and a few games not being patched some first party and some 3rd.

I would have expected FF16 to be patched and for RE2 and 3 to get proper patches. First party, I'm disappointed by the lack of patches for Returnal and Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut. With both follow up games, you'd think it would be a good opportunity to patch the old ones.

I also think Sony missed an opportunity to implement system wide LFC and I think PS Link has been a massive disappointment and probably why it hasn't been integrated with the new PS5 Slim or the Pro.

Looking forward to PSSR being implemented in more games and improvements to PSSR.

7/10

Outside of SH2 and Jedi Survivor, it has worked well with every game I was interested in and upcoming games like (DS2, Indy, GTA, Yotei, Integalactic) only get me more excited. Double the storage alone was a big win for me. So... mostly satisfied.

Why are there so few votes on the lower end though? @Feel Like I'm On 42 and TGO TGO , get in here!
Just for you, despite you already knowing the answer.

Aside from GTA6, biggest hopes I had for the console was to improve the VR experience for Village and 4, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

Haven't played many games on it, yet. Also is not important to my use case as I'm not among those who play a lot of different games. The one thing I was looking forward to playing on my Pro this year was MHW and that runs like absolute dogshit its a disgrace. Sad.

Software is always the reason people are disappointed. Not enough interesting games to play, lack of real exclusives. Look at any failed platform, how often is the hardware the reason it failed?
The only ones who go in without games pulling them in are the enthusiasts who want to be there day 1 because it’s the latest hardware. Us here. But once the launch hype is gone we all want new exciting games.

Somewhat satisfied. I can see the improvements, but some of the patches at launch were completely messed up and took a while to fix. Nothing I was playing but it was disappointing to see, and I actively passed on Jedi Survivor for $20 on Black Friday because of it.

Otherwise, I've really enjoyed the improvements and the extra hard drive space.

Completely satisfied. 😊

And I'll keep it when the PS6 launch, I now have a need for 2 consoles in my home. Ppl coming over and wanting to play GTA Online will forever be funny, lol.

I had a PS5 upstairs and downstairs that I play equally. I bought a Pro for downstairs because that's the giant TV, but then I didn't like playing the "inferior" versions of games upstairs, so I had to buy a second. I clicked completely satisfied.

Big disappointment, I expected performance modes to look better or equal to Quality Mode at 60fps and to some people this maybe the case, but I can see those Upscaling artifacts and to me that's not better and is a compromise which isn't supposed to exist.
That is the point of the console.
I also expected a little more then performance modes being Upscaled, the very few games that add features not present in the Base PS5 version are no better then the games that do have those features on PS5, like Raytraying.
Improvement in games like SM are noted but other developers hand in a very poor result.
Although games like Horizon, Callisto and Stellar Blade are worth the praise.
I don't think it's the Hardware at fault, just the underwhelming use of it.

The only reason anyone bought one of these was because they wanted me to suck them off.
Oh and you will <3

I voted somewhat satisfied, because of some of the hack jobs some devs did releasing updates for the platform, although it's devs fault, Sony should have been on top of the situation and control the quality of the patches before letting the devs release them.

Other than that has been a stellar experience.

Mostly satisfied. The games that have been pro enhanced have been great but on the hardware end is where I am not completely satisfied. I actually replaced the first console because the coil whine was really really bad even the guy at the store was like "damn that's loud". The unit I have now is fine on coil whine but the fan is noticably louder than I'd like. The base PS5 I had was dead silent all the time. While it's not a huge deal it can be somewhat immersion breaking for example while playing TLOU part 1 in quiet areas you'd hear it. Again not a huge deal just a minor complaint.

i wil be ssatisfied when the new pssr versioncomes out , currently its a mixed bag, i like the smooth film like look it gives to the picture but dislike how soft and blurry it can get compared to regular methods

I sold it. I have still the original fat ps5 to continue playing gt7 and gta6 when it’s out. But the system is not worth it. I bought it for cheap and sold it same price I bought it from

It plays what I want to play, and the games that take advantage of it look great to me. Granted, I'm not taking screenshots of the game and pulling out the microscope like some people. It's a console, for what it is, it is great.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Literally the worst console I've ever bought. Overpriced, laughably underpowered, somehow worse than the old console at running some of the games I wanted to play, I hate PSSR and find it detrimental at times, and the fan is loud as fuck. I've actually stopped playing PS5 games in the last few months because of the Pro.

Terrible.

I love the idea of my Pro, but I haven’t really noticed a difference. I installed Silent Hill 2 and Diablo IV again. I don’t really see it. I was playing MHW and KCD2 on the Pro. I had a base model since launch. Someone would need to point it out to me. I also have a QLED 4K Samsung TV. The graphics weren’t bad in the first place.

I love PS since the PS1 days, but I feel like this push to the Pro was just to force people to spend more money.

Mostly satisfied. Dragon's Dogma 2, Space Marine 2, Horizon Zero Dawn are games I've played so far that look fantastic. I say mostly because I would like to see games like Everspace 2 and Helldivers 2 take advantage of the technology.

PSSR overall has been a success.

Mostly satisfied. Love the better image quality in a bunch of games like Space Marine, Wukong, Stella, ff7 and more. I'd be more pleased if Bloober got off their arse and gave us a good patch for SH2 and I'd like more support for older games.

I am neutral. My PS5 was 4 years old and I was jonesing to get a new one (Slim). Then the Pro was announced, so I went with that one. I like the additional storage, that has been really nice. The dashboard and trophy synchonization is faster. As for performance and graphics, I am not a good judge as my eyes suck.
