Quick question papitos, since Yasuke is a black man, do you think gameplay wise that will give us any advantage? Like for example being less visible when infiltrating at night time?

JK, I was just thinking it would be funny to post this in resetera an see the reactions

It was a joke my friend. Didn't mean to make fun of anyone. I just deleted the message but its funny how in that forum they can say white generic protagonist and we all have to be quiet and accept their words. It was a joke about their double standards

going on a limb and say +90 on metacritic
Yeah, I think there will be enough bullshit in the review process to bump this up.
As usual take the rule like this.

Whatever the meta is, knock 20 off for the actual score (used to be 10 but these days too much bs out there).

Weve had too many bullshit scores lately to believe anything.

MH : W, good game, completely over-rated at most Id give it an 8

is has been confirmed that we can ditch one character all together in terms of gameplay and just choose one from the start?

There are some character specific missions. Also I think the chick can only do a few things cause of her climbing ability. But most of it, yes.

I'm gonna guess an 86. Some points off for the shrine controversy and having 2 characters.

Some will.have an issue with the violence. But overall better than Valhalla and mirage

Ubisoft is not From, so expecting the same level of combat and combat animations from AC games is completely unrealistic.
That take doesn't make much sense considering For Honor exists.

They could easily have something as deep and complex in AC, but AC was never that type of game, so it's just silly to compare it to games where that is the main focus and point.

I've played For Honor. Imho, combat in this game is laughable at best in terms of quality of animations and feel, you can even see it in the video as well as floatiness of it, not to mention there's huge PVP focus.

I wouldn't call combat deep and complex in For Honor, nore is it in Sekiro tbh, where it's actually quite simple but difficult to master and be really good at, which is the best part of it cuz you need to learn and be better to get even close to finishing the game - I know that based on my own terrible experience the first time I played the game and dropped it. In Sekiro you pretty much get almost everything at the start and everything else you get later will simply complement everything you had before and provide more options, moreover, it won't help you at all if you don't master the basics.

but AC was never that type of game, so it's just silly to compare it to games where that is the main focus and point.
That's exactly what I meant. It's just different type of game than Sekiro so there's no point in comparing.

This ⬆️ is why I don't understand why publishers like Ubisoft have subscription services. Game subscription services only make sense if subscriber are in it for the long run, but when there's but when there's hardly any new fresh content to be found (like on Ubisoft+), people use it as a rental service and it's only costing them money.

Alternatively, it's gained them $18 from somebody who wasn't willing to buy the game at full price, as it stands they will play it, if they like it they might buy it, or may extend their subscription, either way it's another unique user playing the game and if it's good potentially recommending it to others.

This is nonsense, For Honor was always praised for the animations, because they are objectively great; and of course there's a huge pvp focus, it's a fighting game, that doesn't change the point I made.

Well then you'd be wrong, as mentioned for honor is a fighting game, by definition it's far more complex than pretty much 99.99% of action games out there.
In the linked video alone you can see all the different kinds of faints and cancels, attack direction changes because guarding is directional, every character is unique so everyone has different timings and baits and neutral games.
That's exactly what I meant. It's just different type of game than Sekiro so there's no point in comparing.
No that's not what you meant, you basically said "Ubisoft could never", which is bull because for honor is proof they can.

I can't see it in this video and from what I've played myself. But if you like it, more power to you.

It looks bad, man, and has no place in AC game if they can do it. I would actually prefer something similar to Hellblade 2 instead but with more freedom of movement, more brutal and cool looking fights which is hella expensive to make for sure, but if Ninja Theory can do it with a lot less devs on the team, then Ubisoft can do it to by scaling down their stupid "dozens of studios working on one game" thing.

No that's not what you meant, you basically said "Ubisoft could never", which is bull because for honor is proof they can.
They can't and will never match Sekiro and again, I've played For Honor and know how combat works in it. I'm gettin' bored by just watchin' a video.

But if you like it
Me? It got universal praise, cept from you it seems
It looks bad
? Whatever it "looks" like to you doesn't matter, I was explaining the complexity of the combat system, which it objectively is, unless you just played the pve modes and treated it like a button masher, imagine playing a fighting game against AI 😂
and know how combat works in it.
you clearly don't.

This might be one of the worst takes of all time. For Honors animations are as good, or better, than any game you can name and when it was released it was best in class...period. Ubisoft literally broke ground with For Honor and developed Motion Matching, and they used it a full three years before Naughty Dog did with The Last of Us 2.

One of the few ACs I've bought at launch instead of waiting for the full edition for like 20 dollars in one or two years. All the great opinions I've heard on the stealth infiltration gameplay sold me hard.

IN for the best AC since Black Flag boyos

For Honor is THE bar for weapons based combat as far as I'm concerned. Such a damn good game with a high skill ceiling. Just watching that video makes me want to get back to it.

No kidding! the animation for the combat looks really bad....

There is huge difference with animation quality. Say what you want about FROM games being "not high tech enough" but they absolutely nail the animation and feel of the combat.

I really need to give Sekiro another shot. I never clicked with the combat because I wanted to play it like a Souls game. I think I am ready to go back and give it another go after playing Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade.

Sekiro is a rythm game (this is not a bad thing btw, first genichiro batle, for me is the best boss battle ive played)

Definitely give it another go.

I didn't like it much at launch and quit at the final boss after forcing my way through kind of the "wrong" way. I got back to it 5 and a half years later (like a month or two ago). Since then, I've gotten the plat and done all the boss gauntlets with 6 playthroughs. Once it clicks, it clicks HARD. I wish I put more effort into just perfecting it's systems instead of brute forcing it at launch due to my Souls experience.

Definitely the best combat in a Souls game. Maybe be my favorite combat in an action game, period.

Yeah Sekiro is not “Souls” game, it’s FROM’s take on action game.
