I don't want to get my hopes up, but if was shadow dropped during the Microsoft or Nintendo not-technically-E3 presentation in June that would be very similar to the approach they took when they dropped the original Hollow Knight during the Switch's E3 2018 Direct, which obviously worked out quite well for them.

Still haven't played the first GG.
But let's be real, Silksong will outsell MP4 by orders of magnitude. PC version alone of Hollow Knight sold an estimated 10M+ on Steam alone.

Didn't the original game shadow drop during a direct? You know Nintendo wants this on Switch 2 at launch. Is there any marketing deal that could make this not possible? If not, I believe! It won't be shadow dropped though, they will talk about it when they show off Switch 2 software. This is the perfect game to launch Switch 2. If only Hades 2 was ready for full release, we could potentially have Silksong, new 3D Mario, new 3D Metroid, and Hades 2 as Switch 2 launch titles. Nintendo doesn't like to have everything just at launch so they will be saving something for Christmas, probably Metroid.

Yeah I bet they're trying to make it perfect, maybe because they think hollow knight was a fluke.
Hopefully it ends up being just fine in the end and they adjust their production pipeline accordingly after it launches.

This game is going to end up being too bloated for its own good. I don't want to play a 100 hour Metroidvania game. That's my prediction.

Hallow knights 40 hours was perfect.
