EU prices:

Base unit: €470
With MKW: €510

Swedish prices:

Base unit: 6,800 SEK = $685/€622
With MKW: 7,500 SEK = $756/€686

I'm in absolute shock. What the FUCK is going on with this shit?! Why are we paying €152-176 more than the rest of the EU? My guess is the greedy assholes at Bergsala. Why the fuck can't Nintendo handle their own Nordic distribution?

I'm not getting a Switch 2 anymore, which feels incredibly sad, but I just can't support this absolute bullshit.

How much is the VAT in Sweden for electronics?

Before i react...is the PS5 the same price as the rest of Europe over there?

No, also a lot more expensive. PS5 Pro (without disc drive) is 10K SEK here, which is about €910. At launch it was 10,500. Same problem, a greedy Nordics distributor rather than Sony doing it themselves.

Hm, I wonder if it's realistic/easy to order one from for example Germany instead. We have free trade in the EU, so should turn out a lot cheaper?

Just so people understand...

This is about €100/us$100 more for the Switch 2 compared to the PS5 Digital, and same price as the PS5 w/ Disc drive...

Here in Mexico, they haven't announced the price yet; they're still uncertain...

Although who knows, because we're exempt from tariffs.

Wonder what is the Brazilian price

Evil Laugh Creepy Smile GIF

The price is so damn high that no one dares to put a price on it yet.

Can't wait for the headlines from journalism "hard life choices advices: A car or a Switch 2? Which one is more cost benefic for you?"

Does all of Scandinavia have these prices or is it just Sweden?

Almost the same here in Norway, but we're swimming in black gold so it's alright. But seriously, fuck that shit. Guess I'm waiting for a sale. 😔 Just imagine the total price with a pro-controller and a high quality 3rd party grip/joy-cons. 😬

Its because of tax and higher cost on everything in the supply chain, like salaries for employees and rent. Scandinavia is also a small market, more specialized when it comes to localization which adds to cost, and we dont get games produced in large quantities, like Germany get.

At least, this is what GPT told me.

In short, its fucking Bergsala. They make everything more expensive because of how they operate.

And then add Mario Kart World for 100 dollar. Joy-Con 2 for 110 dollar. Pro Controller for 120 dollar. Prices in Sweden is completely fucked. That stupid fucking extra tax the government put on for electronics (kemikalieskatt) is some massive bullshit too. Sweden sucks ass. Bergsala too.

Thought you'd have the cheapest Ikea prices and get away with it ?

Time to pay up !

If you live in Malmö, just cross the bridge and get yourself a dannish Switch 2 for 4249 kr, which represents 570 euro.

But Nintendo will start producing it in the US now. 😂
We can't get our expensive slave labor devices, now we have to pay more for slightly less slave wages while our currency devalues by the hour, the horror! Oh wait that last part is pretty shitty.

Aren't you one of the richest countries there? You have money. Socialism won't pay for itself.

I don't know why Nintendo think those prices are remotely reasonable.
