Analysts predict eventual $530 (within 2 yrs) Switch 2 price if tariffs remain

Sure. Purdue Pharma has done some terrific work. But there are also people who have become homeless for the simple reason that they are unable to take care of themselves.
No idea what that mean? unable to care for themselves from what? If you are just talking retards, yeah, we know. They arent homeless usually.

Purdue Pharma is the company that came up with Oxycontin. A synthetic opioid that was heavily, and I mean heavily marketed (a kinder word bribery basically) at doctors for being the ultimate painkiller, and totally not addictive at all. Except, it turns out, it's just as addictive as any other opioid. So when finally (after many, many years) the government starts to regulate prescriptions getting written like parking tickets, people move to what's available. At the time, heroin. And since, fentalyl has much higher profits, so this is what is being currently sold, and ta-da, there's the current opioid crisis in the US in a nutshell. Purdue Pharma certainly has a lot to do with it, as much as they'd like you to ignore the fact (they've settled multiple lawsuits over it).

As for "just talking retards", no. People can have mental health issues, and get them too quite suddenly. And they can eventually lead to homelessness, despite any retardness.

If every single job, regardless the job, paid a "living wage" (I assume that means pay all bills, rent, car payment etc) then a carton of milk would cost $10.

Entry level jobs exist for a reason. To teach you how to work and gain experience for better paying jobs.

Paying whatever a "living wage" is to a kid who took your order at Mcdonalds sounds insane to me.
car payment? lol? living wage?

JUST a small flat. One working person should be able to live and at least pay for 1 small flat.

Without question, Doctors and big pharma started the crisis, decades ago. We called them "pill mill" doctors.

Every worker on Earth? regardless of job? So that goes for the sweat shops in China too? or not them?
if you work full shift, this should be enough to live.

I understand your argument. Of coruse. but we wouldn't want to be on the other side

There are zero credible ways of predicting anything about the current tariff situation and related price inflation. It could be completely different in a week's time.
Seriously, especially with California trying to pull importers to their docks and bypass tariffs

Even a 16 year old cashier who lives at home, works at McDonalds? pay them how much if they live say, in NYC, where CHEAP places are $2,000 a month, doesnt count ANYTHING else. They would genuinely need $30 an hour and that's scraping by the skin of their teeth.

Course, that's why its a job for kids, never was meant for adults. Which, Kiosk are replacing those jobs anyhow.

I'm more worried about my food, electric bill, gas, investments, etc. The us economy in general is potentially turbofucked for a long time. Taking a one-time bath on a switch is no big in comparison.

Because of pricing concerns, their estimates for 2025 are now 15 million, down from 17 million. Those pricing concerns? They say it's possible there could be a 20% increase in the price of the Switch 2 over the next two years if these tariffs are maintained. That would put it at $530 in the US.
Im sorry but those analysts know shit, we, the gamers know fairy well how ninny can be, prices wise, if no deal is made, tariffs wise, console gonna be 599 in the US, and in canada too(so bagilion of canadian dolars since their currency is worth close to nothing :P ).

Once is has a nice library of games, I have no issues getting it.

But, playing old 3rd party games, well screw that.

The new DK game looks.... maybe ok?
Not interested in Mario Kart
Maybe ill wait for the new 3D Mario, Zelda's and platformer Kirby.

Can't say I'm too excited about it, myself. After having a switch from day one, I really didn't get much used out of it. Zelda was amazing, Mario Odyssey was really fun. Astral Chain was nice to have. The snes collection online is cool. Other than that? Ehhhhh..... not for me.

Adults. 16yo is a minor.
18+ people. Shouldn't matter if they live alone or with parents. Should be treated evenly.
Evenly depending on the country. Of course you need more to rent in usa rather than to rent in kongo. So according to that.

Tariffs shmariffs.

They'll switch production to India like everybody else.

India got hit with fat tariffs. So did vietnam. Those were supposed to be places we wanted producers to move to and out of china. Now they have mad tariffs and it's suddenly become a terrible time for big investments.

Would that be the same people that said the stock markets would crash forever. Then they all rebounded the very bext day.

I hear you, just doesn't seam realistic. Sounds like a "dream world" which I DO wish we had

I know that homeless people... VERY RARE... have jobs, but far and away the #1 reason for homelessness is drug addiction. Flat out. 99% of anyone homeless does NOT work, and frankly, do not want to.

Also, prices on living wage varies city to city. You think some 16 year old kid working a cashier at McDonalds should make 80k-100k annually? Because in places like LA and NYC in America, that's scraping by.

I work 40 hours a week and not a second more. Plenty of money to pay my way into the world. Also, never went to college, just started working at 16 and never stopped.
No one argues that a kid at 16 should make a living wage. A kid at 16 shouldn't be working full time.
Any full time worker should be able to live off of the wage they make. Living wage should be based on the area you are in.
Back in the 60s/70s (and earlier) you could work full time and easily afford a place to live, transportation, and 3 full meals a day, with extras on min wage.
Why should today be any different?
