During the latest episode of the Koji Pro radio broadcast(via), Death Stranding 2: On the Beach director Hideo Kojima shared that the game is now 95 percent complete.

Kojima's exact words were, "It's at about 95% now… It feels like it is 10 o'clock (PM), speaking of 24 hours, Koji Pro's DS2 is at 10 o'clock (PM), there are 2 hours left." Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is set for release on June 26, 2025. Given that the game's development is confirmed to be 95 percent complete, there is plenty of time for Kojima Productions to polish up the experience before launch.

That is a good news that its nearly completed, and will have more time for polishing and to add what needs to be added more to the game. I'm currently finishing the Ps5 version of DS1 directors cut. Beautiful, cerebral and challenging game and very catharsis atmosphere. DS2 Day one for me, physical copy.

Wow, good times especially for Ps5 gamers for the coming months. I already have a budget for, April Indiana Jones, May Doom Dark Ages and DS2 on June. And will try to save again for August MGS3 remake and GTA6 and GOY if both are launch this year.

Death stranding was a win, if you remember people doubted if Kojima could make a non-metal gear solid game, no one is talking about metal gear solid anymore.
Except he cast a guy that looks identical to solid snake in the 2nd one and it looks to lean in some...hopeful directions vs the first game.

I'm not taking anything away. It's just hard to define what a metal gear game is. I think "kojima game" is closer to what this man has and will always make. MGS games are kojima games. I'm hyped for this. Didn't even bother with part 1. I feel part 1 was a tech demo for this masterpiece.

DS 1 was extremely chill. A zen game if you will, with good stealth mechanics and an actual dynamic world. It felt great to see the world change as you progressed. The game has one of the best progression systems in the world. A journey that first took you hours only took a minute or two the second time, and 10-30 seconds the third.

Really hope DS2 is even better

Oh I'm totally clicking that story of DS1. I want to see what Kojima deems noteworthy from the first and how he wants to explain it. Should be good.

You are hyped yet you didnt even experience nor understand the craziness of the first game? Thats really weird to jump in the middle of the story while having access to the first game for dirt cheap, even free a few times.

1:1, reimagination, I will take any kind of modern MGS1 remake at this point, but I would like to see what would it look like if current Kojima directed it with all the freedom at his disposal.

It is, frankly, his most iconic game.
