This shit was so fucking peak for me.

Man, this is one of those games that I have in my bingo card capable of pushing me to get a PS5 Pro, but considering this was running on base PS5 appearantly, I don't see the need too.

Forbidden West already looked amazing on base PS5.

Did they talked about anything regarding PS5 Pro enhancements on DS2?

There's a physical release for the standard edition, but yeah, the collector's edition only gives a download code (they did the same thing with their past CE releases: SM2, GoW:R, HFW).

I will buy the physical copy on June 26 but I hope Sony change there mind and release a physical version of the DS2 CE so that I might consider buying the CE instead of the standard physical copy.

Uggh, don't do that. UE5 isn't the standard you think it is. Decima stands quite firmly on its own two feet and always has.
Honestly this looks very impressive to me and sounds impressive as well. Those are Hellblade II level visuals, in an open world game, built on a proprietary engine. If that ain’t impressive, I don’t know what is. UE5 still has to deal with its own stutter struggle shenanigans, while Decima is supremely optimised and runs almost flawlessly on any platform considering the Xbox port of the OG Death Stranding. You don’t need UE5 to get an incredible looking game anymore, you just need, dedication…and a well optimised engine.

Capcom and Monster Hunter Wilds are very quiet after this dropped.

Jokes aside, the weather changes and simulation in this game are out of this world. Decima Engine was already impressive with Horizon Forbbiden West but Kojima again upped the stakes with what could have been achieved with Decima. This is probably the next iteration of the engine for the future Guerrilla games.

Imagine this level of detail in the coop monster hunter-esque game gureilla is making.

Imagine what the concept of MH Wilds could be with an engine like the Decima? I do think Wilds is impressive and stunning at times, but very inconsistent and the RE Engine is showing serious texture streaming issues with that game as that are textures that look straight out of PS2 era as they don't load at all even in state of art PCs. If Monster Hunter played at it does and looked this phenomenal I'd probably have a few sessions of 6+ hours sitting my ass in the couch with you how by the balls this would have me.

Believe me I ain't buying no early access.
Not buying the early access as well. I won't have the time to appreciate this until the weekend anyway as it drops on tuesday. A few days won't kill me as I won't get spoiled as I'll probably be too busy to browse here, and my YT recommendations don't even have sent me this trailer, so the algorithm must think I'm not interest in DS2.

TGO

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
None of the Sony PS5 collector's editions came with a disc. Ragnarok, Forbidden West, etc. Just a download code. This isn't new.
This is true, and Forbidden West was the last game to get Special/Deluxe Edition which did came with the Disc

I understand if they made it an option to have a Digital Code but after Forbidden West it became the only way to get the Steelbook....
Why the fuck would a person that buys digitally want a fucking Steelbook case when the biggest reason for buying digital is not having to physical store it 🤨
It's the most retarded thing I've ever heard of.
Just like recently Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on PC!! is the only one with a Steelbook!
lucious lyon wtf GIF

I never finished the first one but this looks like a must-play. I remember the story is pretty bat-crazy anyways and this looks to continue that trend, think I could get by with just watching a good Youtube recap?

It’s a cliche but this sequel is going to make DS1 look like a tech-demo.

The environments look much more dynamic. We had the occasional boulder in DS1 but the new elements like fire are sure to be a game-changer. More varied locations too could make a huge difference. The jungle environment surprised me a bit and I’m betting we’ll see a few more interior locations as that seemed to be a notable addition in the Director’s Cut of DS1. It looks like the original concept of DS in bloom.

Another exciting aspect is that they are making a point to showcase more combat up to the point of Kaiju battles. Kojima heard you wanted more action.

I think my favorite upgrade so far is the vehicle chase and combat sections. So much potential in the vehicle aspect of the game. Some of my still-memorable moments from DS1 were escaping from enemies by the skin of my teeth on the bike. Can’t wait to see that aspect expanded upon.

Between DS2 and Ninja Gaiden 4, this is probably the most I’ve been excited about playing games in years. I-‘m back.

Probably, it will be the best looking Console Game on PS5 PRO.
Edited : maybe even on a base PS5.

Fantastic trailer. I don't like Kojima's weirdness, so I'm one of those that idolize MGS1 despite having played everything with much anticipation.

So...I've finally bought DS. Any tips on how to approach it? I don't like open worlds anymore, and I don't like waiting and fiddling around.

But I'm hyped, installed and ready to go.

The trailer was visually impressive and imaginative, but I'm thinking this one probably isn't for me. I tried the first DS - I think my game clock showed about 8 hours - but wasn't able to get into it. Visuals and environments were attractive, but I found the long cutscenes tiresome and the gameplay uninteresting.

I'm glad people are hyped, and I hope they enjoy it. I'll probably take a pass on this, although I'll stay tuned for reviews. Interested to see if Kojima made any big changes to the gameplay.

As an MGS1 idolizer myself, fav game all time- fav series ever; i had a tough time getting into D1 until i gave it a fair shot on my third attempt. Its an amazing game top to bottom and you just gotta come in with an open mind with regards to how different the gameplay is. I dont care for open words either, but i never felt it was a detriment here, its well done. You navigate the land to and from often- but it never felt boring. You go as fast or as slow as you want aswell.
Enjoy. If you play MGS and Kojima games you will know what to expect with long cutscenes and conversation.

Just power through the story for a while before you start doing side mission deliveries. You will end up with upgrades and equipment that are very helpful later on.
