There's been some...weirdness. If you ordered it months ago, you're getting a watch, regardless of what it says on your order.

Same with my order (placed 3/9). The promo does say this though: "This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders. Limit one per household. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time." I'll be disappointed if I miss out. Amazon CS doesn't seemed in the dark when I contacted them.

But now I have a preorder bonus woe. I ordered both the Vita version and the 3DS version of the preorder versions of VLR, so I expected to get 2 watches along with my 2 games. But bender's post about the preorder bonus says "Limit one per household", so does that mean I won't be getting two watches? Can Belisarius or Akselziys comment on my situation?

Any orders that were placed before they formally took them down will be honored, even if they went over the maximum threshold

So I'm not the only one. Wasn't sure which portable I'd have first (getting both anyway), so wanted to cover and support both bases.

likewise lol. (well for the most part, I have a 3ds, but I wasn't sure what one I would want the game on as I plan to get a vita soon as well)
my big plan was just to change the shipping addess of one to my parents house for now. I am currently leaning towards keeping both and giving the gift of zero escape for christmas to one of my friends... I need to get him something nice anyways as he already told me what he was getting my wife for christmas and it's well deserving of at least something as sexy as zero escape.
As long as they allowed you to pre-order then the bonus should be applied.

So what are the pre-order numbers like, out of curiosity?
With a game like this, I imagine there's a fear that the audience can't expand beyond 999's sales, but VLR seems to be picking up in popularity.

I just got on the chat with an Amazon rep. and I explained my situation to him and he told me that you guys had limited it to one per household so I would only be getting one. So was he just confused or am I slightly screwed?

999 seemed like a very slow burner where it was praised a lot and people slowly checked it out, so it wouldn't be surprising if the sequel did quite a bit better.

Consider the mass appeal of the watches, I would say it would be in Aksys best interest to do a round 2 of the watches. I don't even want one (Well I kinda do), but its so sad to see so many people who got screwed, especially when they did indeed preorder during the time frame.
