2013-14 NBA Pre-Season |OT| Nobody won more with less than Lebron. Maybe Phil Jackson

I agree with pretty much all of this. If Bledsoe resigns before the season starts I could see Dragic getting traded around the time of the trade deadline or next off season. Especially if we don't get the number one pick and it looks like our best option is a sg like parker. McD prefers Bledsoe to dragic (I prefer Dragic as well but I think Bledsoe has the higher upside).

But Dragic isn't going anytime soon since there isn't really anything good we can get back from him. Maybe shumpert or something from new york but thats unlikely.

edit - and Paul Coro is reporting that Len might night play on opening night because of a sore ankle. I hope that's not a recurring problem.

I don't think NYK have a first round pick they can put in a trade until 2020 or something. And Suns aren't just doing a straight swap of Dragic for Shumpert. Dragic is worth much more than that.

well the good thing is we have nothing to lose by keeping him. Its a long season maybe someone goes down and a team panics. Either way he has a lot of years left on that contract if bledsoe decides to book it, then so be it.

You're thinking about it in terms of keeping a favored player. McD is just thinking about it in terms of what is the best and quickest way to rebuild.

They've pretty much come out and said that Bledsoe is the one they want to rebuild with out of the two players. I don't know why. I don't rate him as a play making PG. I think Dragic is much more skilled. But eh.

And it's not a question of money, the Suns need to stay above the salary floor, so if they trade Dragic, they'd have to do it for just about equal salary. It's purely a question of what they can get back. I don't really see any huge net gain in the trade. No overwhelming demand for PG's out there. There's probably a surplus if anything.

But if they could get back Lance Stephenson and another first round pick or two out of Indiana i think they'd seriously look at it. That'd be one boneheaded back court though. Lance and Bledsoe.

I'm thinking of keeping the actual talent we have. Dragic and Bled are the only point of optimism for this season and then Len getting more experience, sooner. I guess it does come down to what you said, how insane a deal can we get, what's worth it? Except that you make it sound like it's a forgone conclusion and they'll simply take the best deal even if it's not worth it. Or do you think McD will truly weigh his value and consider keeping him? Because I just don't see any realistic package that's worth losing him for. He has value and for this team specifically, not many talented PGs want to stick around for a rebuilding team. That'd be crazy if we could get even more first rounders for this draft though.

I hate to tell yal this, but Len sucks

No way of knowing. His coach in college didn't allow him to play an offensive game but he has some skill sets that could develop there and he has great agility for his size. There's at least potential. One thing is for sure, playing him instead of Gortat goes a long ways towards rigging for Wiggin.

I don't think he is starting anytime soon. They are going to be starting Plumlee (who has been solid this preseason and is looking like steal as far as throw ins go). Len really needs to get stronger and hope those ankles get healed soon. He is going to need a lot of time to develop he will need a year or two.

Its too early to say anything about him though we really haven't seen him play healthy.

Based on everything I've heard around podcasts/media/Doc Rivers, it seems like DeAndre "Bill Russell" Jordan is going to be DPTY

Len can't make shots other than dunks at college or NBA levels of efficiency and his motor and awareness kind of suck so I don't know how much his coach should really be blamed.

Len has a chance of being Hibbert good after four or five years if he can manage to find a way to give a shit and find an answer to genetically weak ankles.

I've tried to tell people this before he was drafted, and it has nothing to do with Miles Plumlee's potential PT. Len is a stiff

Speaking of Plumlee PT, it looks like Best Plumlee is actually going to get some burn this season. Kidd wants to keep KG in cryogenic hibernation until the playoffs and he clearly prefers Blatche at the 4 (and so do I) which leaves Mason as our backup center.

Drafted as a project in a weak draft. Said from day 1 that it'd be a 4 year process. Actually looking better than ever this preseason.

Len though... Maryland loves its bigs. I don't know why people think that their coach didn't want to use him. He just can't be used any other way. The guy is a project - but people think that he isn't. And that is what's going to get him done dirty.

Plus he's never been that kind of a worker either.

I'd never thought I'd say this, but Biyombo was a better pick than Len.

Edit: A substantially better prospect. Based on needs of team, ceiling, position in draft, etc.

He's not bad playing 15 minutes a game. Fouls a lot so that's about as much as he can play anyway.

I always knew you Knickers secretly loved Dolan. That explains why you continue to pay him United States dollars to pee in your mouths.

He will, just not right off the bat due to his ankle. Just about every center takes a few years to develop. I give Len three seasons before I'd call him a bust unless other factors come into play or he has absolutely zero develop each year. It'd be foolish to think he'll be anything but inconsistent to terrible this first season but the early experience will be invaluable for quicker development and seeing what we have on him. He's in the ideal scenario right now, virtually zero expectations outside of how early he was picked as we are going to be a bottom feeder, a rebuilding team.

Which picks exactly do the Sixers have next year? I heard they're probably getting two lottery picks. If they can get both Wiggins and another top 6 pick, they're going to have a very fast turnaround. Wiggins, Noel, and say maybe Marcus Smart sounds really intriguing.

Celtics did us a solid so I'm kind of rooting for them to sit Rondo all year and get Wiggins. Although the Sixers and Suns are going to be hard to outtank anyway.

Suns are getting Wiggins, end of story! We'll have another 3 picks in the first round to get some other solid players around him too :D

I'm almost looking forward to seeing you guys play the Sixers this year. They're going to be your biggest rivals in the race for Wiggins.

I think the Suns will end up winning the lottery this year too. I just hope we'll actually move up in the lottery this year for the first time ever.

1) Suns
2) 76'ers
3) Celtics
4) Magic
5) Hornets
6) Lakers
7) Jazz

Dragic and Bledsoe will go off here and there for a few wins.

Sixers? J-Rich will have to find the fountain of youth for them to get a single win.

Richardson is out for half the year (at least) with a knee injury and is roughly thirty pounds overweight right now as well. First-option Evan Turner coming up.

Hasnt the team with the worst record rarely gotten the first pick looking back at the past? I know the probability is higher with a worse record but the lotto balls havent been kind.

Oh and we still have the unprotected lakers first in 2015 play on kobe!!
