Yes, but it's a movie you have to be in the mood for. It's a slow burn intentionally to build dread and tension.Started watching Blackcoat’s Daughter but it was super boring, does it get better in the second half?

#27 Don’t Torture a Duckling (1972)
Classic giallo about a child killer. Good mystery and up amongst Fulci's best.
Right on, I made a similar post last month: https://www.neogaf.com/threads/horror-gaf-ot-2-spooky-4-u.1497349/post-255530035I just thought I'd randomly pop in here to say I just watched Lake Mungo as Chris Stuckmann recently reviewed it. I enjoyed it.
I have seen many horror films and some of them do scare me. But this film, it sent chills down my back, no movie has ever done that to me before.
I don't want to say anything about it as I don't want to ruin it. You know the name of the film now and you can watch it on Amazon Prime if you are interested.
Traveling right now. Visiting with family and their kids tonight so it’s gonna be Hocus Pocus for me tonight. Gonna have to push hard to hit 31 next week.
Perfect time for Krampus.
Back from a few days bender.27. Black Sheep (2006)
Wake up Sheeple, y'all need to watch this.
I had so much fun watching this movie, jumped to my favorite list of must watch.
basically a dumb zombie movie including sheeps.
Back from a few days bender.
28. Office Uprising (2018)
Slacker works in a weapon factory's HQ. they develop a new energy drink, transform people in aggressive messes.
Adequate action comedy that was labeled "horror", i guess they are "zombie" like. few giggles here and there, the action scenes were fun. it's just one of those movies...
30.Night of the Hunted (1980)
A guy driving during the night towards paris encounters a girl who is seemingly runing from something and picks her up and neglates to see her naked friend behind the tree, shortly she shows signs of memory loss and seems to be confused. Nudity ensued.
Really enjoyed the movie it is quite interesting and has a great dose of tits as prescribed by the doctor, and a rape scene, staple of 80's movies.
The remake is great, start there. If ya dig it, go back to the originalHey, question here , never watched any child's play, should i start with the original or the remake?
Watching Jeepers Creepers, Suspiria tonight. Question: is Annabelle Homecomig with the watch? I’ve loved both Conjuring movies and like Annabelle and Creation.
my thoughts after 15 movies.
killers klowns from outer space - okay cult movie. the best part are the practical make-up effects/costuming of the clowns.
videodrome - okay cult movie. at some point, i lost the plot.
it comes at night - typical a24 horror joint. some flashes of good stuff, but lacking in originality/execution, and doesnt come together to be a classic of the genre.
lake mungo - the format is neat, but the story falters as it is basically an okay campfire story.
blackcoats daughter - see it comes at night.
the green room - see it comes at night.
dog soldiers - decent werewolf movie. feels too long at 2 hours.
mandy - this is the best new movie ive seen of this years horror lot. feels too long at 2 hours.
trick r treat - really thin/weak stories even by anthology standards. also feels like it wants to be audacious with gore and nudity, but doesnt take it far enough.
lighthouse - see it comes at night.
10 cloverfield lane - okay kidnapping/hostage thriller.
crawl - okay. basically 'the shallows' tier. disappointing given the rt score and buzz it was getting.
dawn of the dead (re-watch) - this is probably the most critically acclaimed horror movie i cant get into. atmosphere, visuals, zombies are all so much worse/more dated than the 10 years older night of the living dead. its just so 70s. also feels too long at 2 hours.
american werewolf in london (re-watch) - other than the vfx/make-up in the transformation and jack, theres not a lot here. it feels like its spinning its wheels until it get to the transformation, and then feels like its spinning its wheels getting to the credits. feels too long at 1.5 hours.
28 days later (re-watch) - still a classic. given how many times ive seen it though, i dont know how i forgot how bad the picture quality is (blu ray).
The Green Room lacking in originality and execution? Oh come on now.
31. Terrifier (2016) - On Netflix
I can't believe how many people he gets to kill while staying at home.
fun killer clown movie with a lot of gore and the most oblivious character in a town where that happened a year prior.
shoutout to the guys who posted about it already
Show your kid Poltergeist and Paranormal ActivitySome. more to add to our list
Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child
My least favorite Freddy movie ever until I discovered 2. It’s just so bad in so many ways, but as an adult I appreciate it more in the series then I did as a kid.
Freddys Dead: The final nightmare,
You can start to see Wes Craven transition from the old school horror to the new in this completely Meta take on the horror genre, It very much sets up to what scream can be.
The Cabin in the Woods - again a very meta take on the horror genre. Real life kids get taken in by a corporation to make a horror movie. (Only they don’t know it).
It sets up well, and is a very 4th wall break, but in the end it doesn‘t do anything to advance the genre.
Slumber Party Massacre - This movie is great and even if it does everything so typically that it expects you to do, there is something about it that screams teenage girls with perky boobs have to die. It was the movie that carried some of those tropes on to now.
Sorority House Massacre - This one is interesting, because it tried to do what Slumber Party did, but with less effect. It’s still a decent movie and should win awards for the cover, but Theo is itself was slow and plodding, with very little What happens next? It was just a straight slasher through and through with nothing to add to the genre.
So with only 2 days left until Halloween, and my son not really being scared from Creature Features or Slashers I think I’m going into the Supernatural.
I’m personally thinking Final Destination, because the killer is always death, but I am open to suggestions.
I remember being creeped out by The fourth kind (2009), The Haunting in connecticut (2009), Jeepers creepers (I was young, haven't seen it since mostly because i only recently learned the title of it), Hills have eyes (2006), and darkness falls (2003) Note that those were seen as teenager / at their launch, most of them.So with only 2 days left until Halloween, and my son not really being scared from Creature Features or Slashers I think I’m going into the Supernatural.

35. Scary stories to tell in the dark (2019)
Kids go into an abandonned house, find a book, bad things follow when the girl brings the book back.
I liked the red monster part. thats it. It felt like a goosebump trying too hard. Would not recommend.
tell us more !So this is happening
#30 Zombie Strippers
tell us more !
I might have to go look for that one before tomorrow1)Robert Englund chewing up scene after scene as the campy strip club owner
2)Some actually good zombie makeup fx and gore/kill fx
3)Terrible story and acting (mostly)
4)About 90 minutes of straight up titties from about 6 different girls including prime Jenna Jameson (who surpisingly wasn't terrible at acting)
38. Child's Play 3 (1991)
Hes dead for real now right? Nope, he's back and joining the army.
it was fine. Death scenes few and far between. and the grenade kill isnt even satisfying.
