A Goldeneye 007 remaster ‘could be revealed in the next few weeks’, it’s claimed

Are you on drugs? Are you having issues comprehending what is going on?

I think you have. he clearly didn't talk about the EA GoldenEye game since that game had absolutely state of the art shooter controls at the time (as it was basically a copy of Call of Duty) so commenting that the aiming and controls were bad makes no sense.
secondly the game had no counter operative mode, so it can not be this game...

really hard to comprehend I know

he was clearly mixing up Perfect Dark with GoldenEye or had weird mixed memories and just threw them together into one game in his memory

Dude, some dude wanted to trash the game and claim it's shit because he played it on his 360 and thought only its Counter-Operative mode is neat. All the guy you're attacking out of the blue for whatever reason did was explain that a) that 360 GoldenEye game was not what is being discussed here, b) even if it was it controlled just like COD so basically the standard modern FPS scheme then and now therefor hardly shit, c) it didn't even have the mode mentioned so that post was essentially 90% off topic stuff projected on GoldenEye 007. What's your problem with that and why froth?

What you had on 360 was a different game, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded (which had controls just like COD), the original game's remaster was never released and only recently leaked out to the public. Or you're talking about the Perfect Dark remaster since only that has the Counter-Operative mode. Hard to take this seriously. Either way the games play just fine regardless, that they don't play like every other FPS out there is not any kind of point against them really, just as Resident Evil 4 is also a timeless experience, yet without the usual first/third person shooter schemes based on strafing.
True, you are right, it was perfect dark. Not sure but if you are moving your gun and who screen does not move with it, I am simply not a fan.

It lends to a different play style, playing those games with modern controls say by emulating them on PC with appropriate hacks there's zero tension and gameplay value to them as you go about headshoting fools and breezing through levels tuned to a more methodical and slower paced tactical approach (at least before you learn the games inside out and play even with the old scheme like a pro speedrunner) that did deliberately make aiming on a whim a bit harder. If you don't try to play it like every other FPS then it's fun with its objective based gameplay and the controls are never an issue since even with their quirks they're modern/intuitive in scheme. TImeSplitters 2 plays the same as a much more recent title that is also fondly remembered and pretty great at its best (I don't like the levels where stealth isn't really possible but I guess i can't deny the variety it offers).

WTF are you on about? First of all I'm not attacking him. Secondly it's not over his defence of the game. Try and keep up with the conversation, mate.

No idea what you're on about with that, I followed the discussion/thread and that's exactly what it was about up to the point you started asking if he's high, as not an attack, I guess, sorry about misunderstanding that bit, carry on 🤦‍♂️

Your reply before the one of drugs is "he's talking about this game". Which he couldn't be as explained above because he posted all sorts of wrong information and it's not the game the topic discusses anyway and he has already said that indeed he meant Perfect Dark so again, why froth so? 🤦‍♂️

You obviously skipped my initial reply to him and then his response to me and you only read my second reply.

The guy said Xbox 360. EA didn't release a GoldenEye game for the Xbox 360..

activision, sorry, mixed up my awful publishers for a moment... also EA and Activison just traded around the Bon license at the time. it's easy to mix up
but you clearly knew I was talking about the GoldenEye you linked, WHICH CAN NOT BE THE GAME HE WAS TALKING ABOUT... very easy

Goldeneye was on Wii but was a 're-imagining'. It was not a remake or remaster
Goldeneye: Reloaded was on Xbox 360 and PS3 and was a remaster of the Wii game.

This impending release was originally made and almost released on Xbox Live Arcade back on the 360 but was shelved due to licensing issues. I assume it's been finished, remastered and tweaked for modern consoles, as the original build was about 15 years ago.

First of all I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT GAME HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. You said there was no GoldenEye game for the Xbox 360. I showed you a link that there was and you completely try to argue something else.

you showed a link of a game called GoldenEye that is not the same game as the game called GoldenEye published by Nintendo on the N64.

the game called GoldenEye that you linked can not be the game he was talking about, so excluding it from the selection of possibilities is simply logical as, it is not the same game... that is talked about in this thread... you know... and it also didn't match the description at hand.

if I tell you Star Wars Episode 1 was not on Xbox 360, will you link me to Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga?

I've been waiting for this for too long, I really hope it happens. I also hope that they include bots in the multiplayer like they did with perfect dark.

I didn't like the leaked remaster's graphics. Much prefer the OG N64 look. You could switch between them even though it was kind of weird because the original graphics were upscaled instead of properly upresed.

Well next time make yourself clear, mate. You said there are no GoldenEye game on the Xbox 360. I proved you wrong and you got all in your feelings. If you had enough brain cells in your head, you should've said "GoldenEye 64 isn't on the Xbox 360". Now that would've been clear and precise.

if I tell you Star Wars Episode 1 was not on Xbox 360, will you link me to Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga?

And now you are clutching at straws. Please continue to look stupid.

What are they waiting for? They could have added in some levels that were left on the cutting room floor for this edition...

The original has kinda aged like milk, but the updated controls and framerate of the leaked XBLA copy are transformative. I actually can't wait to play the whole thing without random crashes.

Pretty lame reason, if true. It's not like they're inserting some new story into popular culture. GoldenEye's narrative has been known for a while now. Who are you going to piss off with it? Traitors in the Russian government? Traitors in MI6? Okay then.

It's not like Russia is portrayed as the good guys in Goldeneye. Seems about like Animal Crossing being released at the beginning of the lockdown.
Same goes for Advance Wars

This is all stupid. These are fictional games.......they all say 'not based on real people or events'

Miyamoto even suggested the "actors" shaking hands with each other in the end credits, so we'd know we were just playing a part in a movie.

Who knew that the last semi-good Bond game was in the 360 era and isn't even backwards compatible....we had a whole generation of Xbox-One and PS4 yet not a single good Bond game on there....Also as a remaster they should utilise this guy's soundtrack:
