Drama of having Pronouns?

I aint no bitch, im still playing the game, the pronouns arent enough to scare me away from a game.
However, if the game is shit in spite of the pronouns thats a different story, its on gamepass and if its bad Ill just drop the game.

Will depend if the game is a 'gamepass' developed game or a retail developed game, budget and quality matters. If it's more subscription fodder, than no, I won't even give them the login to count me as someone who played the game and consumed oxygen and fueld engagement.

Hogwarts legacy with they/them pronouns was one of your best games ever and your GOTY, but Avowed with a pronoun toggle is ‘ramming it down your throat’?

I said this in the other thread. There's a gold mine of receipts in Hogwarts legacy AND Baldur's Gate 3 threads.

I don't even care about this recent drama. The gameplay reveal IMO looked so bad and clunky, absolutely no interest in this title. The enemy design looks like something an AI would spit out.

The game looks like poop even before the "drama". I was never going to play it before, but now I want the game to fail ( it will definitely flop in sales) and laugh at it.

However, now I know the game will be poop because of their DEI hiring practices since the art director admitted it himself, where the color of the employee skin and gender have hiring priority over skills and merit. DEI kills games from the inside out. It's not just the dump pronouns.

Outer Worlds was a mediocre, ideologically motivated game—an embarrassment compared to Obsidian’s classic work, which was full of depth, nuance, morally gray areas, and humanity. Avowed looks to be aiming for the same bar as Outer Worlds.

No, I won’t bother. RIP to one of my favorite studios. In the ashes, may the talented developers who have a genuine love for video games get back to their rightful status at the forefront of the industry.

Avowed looks like a pastel Skyrim-mini, with a visual identity that doesn't resonate with me at all. For me this has nothing to do with identity politics or the culture war. If the reception is good I might give it a shot.

I have tried to play Outer Worlds three different times and everytime I ended up giving up after a few hours. It's so bland, the writing is dull and boring, the quests are uninspired and the gameplay itself is so mediocre, there is nothing interesting to explore in those tiny maps

I cannot find practically anything good to say about this game, seriously. Maybe the graphics are okay, but not much else

No and fantasy/middle age themed rpg's are among my favorite genres. Even without the recent controvery I had alrady little hope for the game considering it's from the same devs that made Outer Worlds which was already pretty woke. But instead of getting rid of that crap they seem to double down, Hard pass.

Yeah, I dragged myself through it but it was definitely one of those "in one ear and out the other" type games. It left no impression at all. Exceedingly mediocre.

Voted no.

But if (1) Obsidian rights the ship by firing the crazy Art Director and apologize (2) the game proves us wrong by not actually being woke, apart from the initial pronoun thing, and (3) the game is really, really good (because it looked mediocre), then I might.

As of now, the possibilities of all these 3 things happening looks really small, which is my vote is no as of now.

Gameplay previews are generally favorable right now. Barring some stupid controversy at launch, I don't see why not.

The dialog complaints from Veilguard are no where to be seen in this game, and I don't see it being any kind of 'woke' crusade or whatever. And most importantly, there's much, much less purple.
