Alien: Rogue Incursion – The First Preview

I hope for PSVR2 to go on sale soon. Before Christmas maybe?

I love my Quest3 but I want the extra crispy graphic.

If you mean resolution, PCVR + Quest 3 will go noticeably higher than PSVR2.
Oh I meant general graphical details. I would also play the exclusive like Village and RE4.

I rarely play pcvr using quest 3. It's good but my PC has its limit. It handles Alyx well enough. I think I just don't like how finicky it is to setup the video options on PC. I never know what resolution I should be using and end up never really satisfied with the image quality and performance.

PSVR2 also has OLED, the biggest downside is Sony, unfortunately not putting any effort to keep it trending. By now, they should have revive PlayStation Home in a special 2.0 version that supports PSVR2. To compete with the metaverse.

10mm. Not even considered super powerful.

None of the above are considered ultra powerful pistols either. Not a single one. 44 mag with a snub nose is probably the most powerful shown here, and out of that tiny barrel its nothing compared to a 454 casul or 500 magnum. A 500 magnum pistol would shoot through you and kill a grizzly behind you.

Fair enough. Though the exoskeleton makes me questionable. Fair argument tho

We've seen in movies how rifles, shotguns, and even SMGs can tear through them. A 454 casul/500 magnum or anything close is insanely powerful and they make bullets that are specifically designed to pierce through bone and keep going.

This exclusive first look at the hands-on demo of ALIEN: Rogue Incursion was a lot of fun to experience! Thank you to ‪@Survios‬ for having ‪@AlienvsPredatorGalaxy‬ & I out to test the new game.

I'm not aware of any official canon source that really goes into xeno internal structure other than "they have acid for blood" to know for sure how easy they may be to kill with a pistol round. Presumably they have a heart and circulatory system but it's possible they don't, much less lungs, liver, or even a central brain, such that there is a single point of weakness. In the films they usually take quite a bit of damage, I don't recall any "one hit kills" on a xeno other than major damage (possible in an AvP film they had one get stabbed and die? Or that white one in Ressurection, did it die to a single head shot?).

So while terrestrial large organisms are pretty vulnerable to large caliber but relatively slow moving bullets, it's a false assumption that a xeno would be. But seems like a big bullet plowing through their head or center mass would mess them up. Of course the xeno is likely resistant to pain and would keep coming, even with major organ damage or a head injury. Their ability to lie dormant for long periods of time suggests they have the capability to function, albeit at a low level, without a lot of biological activity so it wouldn't surprise me to see a xeno still have some ability to fight or attack even when it's severely damaged or "bled out".

Yeah theres no way to test it obviously but fun to discuss. In the movies they seem squishy and very vulnerable to ballastic weapons. There's several scenes in aliens were "short controlled bursts" are very short and they go down in spectacular fashion, almost exploding in a haze of acid blood.

Vasquez kills one in the air duct with a very small pistol as they're retreating. Granted it takes multiple shots but you can see the impacts do extreme damage.

The head in particular seems very vulnerable and a gigantic target. The way she crushes its head against the wall with her foot just seems mushy versus durable.

Remember, thats "10mm explosive tipped caseless, standard light armor piercing round" :p:

Yeah, a mag dump at close quarters seems effective, particularly if you want to stop it quickly. I'm sure there were a bunch of damaged xenos hanging out in the reactor hive trying to heal that then got blown up at the end. Or maybe not, perhaps they get recycled in some fashion if damaged.

And I forgot about the intra-oral 12 gauge shot on the xeno in the APC doorway, presumably that bug got it's central nervous system evacuated and died.

No, they getcpaid a set amount, no sales bonuses (unless stated otherwise).

It's more about making it known that working with toxic people like Zoe will hurt your sales. They know very well who they hired.
That´s what the other side is doing.

We are the tolerant ones. I don´t care about her politics or her being an asshole. I don´t have a supported VR headset, but if I had it and the game was good (as in not woke) I would buy it anyways.

Watch this video to discover how developer Survios used UE5 to bring terrifying Xenomorphs to immersive VR for the first time in ‘Alien: Rogue Incursion’.

‘Alien: Rogue Incursion’ is a single-player action-horror title that puts players in the virtual boots of Zula Hendricks for the first time as she fights against highly intelligent Xenomorphs.

To achieve its goals of delivering an immersive atmosphere and intense action, Survios used Unreal Engine for the project, leveraging features like Lumen, Niagara, Chaos Physics, Volumetric Light Fog, the Gameplay Abilities System and more to make the VR game as immersive and entertaining as possible.

Check out the video to hear from Survios Co-Founder and CTO Alexander Silkin how they did it.

Let's play Alien: Rogue Incursion on PlayStation VR2! Lead Artist Dave Smith and
Principal Combat Designer Mark Acero from developer Survios join the PlayStation Underground crew for a new look inside the xenomorph-infested off-world colony. New gameplay shows off the richly detailed sci-fi environment, tense combat, virtual on-body inventory, and deadly smart xenomorphs.

Alien: Rogue Incursion will be available for PS VR2 on December 19.

Looks pretty good! It does have that annoying VR issue of hand motions to activate stuff that isn't really there, like grabbing the motion tracker or reloading the rifle that, when panicked, become VERY difficult to do in ways the actual task isn't since you can rely on tactile feel. It borders on frustration versus stress. I'm hoping that as 3D printing gains traction, more VR games will allow for real props that you can print yourself. 2 handed weapons in particular can really benefit from a real thing you can get your shoulder into.

And fuck that tiny little "light", the real deal weapon lights we have these days will flood the whole room!
