Watch the latest Alien: Rogue Incursion trailer, announcing that the VR action horror game is out now for Meta Quest 3/Meta Quest 3S. The game is also already available on PlayStation VR2 (PS VR2) and SteamVR.

Get another look at the chilling Alien VR game that sees players step into the shoes of ex-Colonial Marine, Zula Hendricks. In Part One of this two-part story, prepare to explore the violent world of Alien, where you will uncover the secrets lurking within the GES facility on LV-354.

It's a lot less Isolation and a lot more Aliens minus having a squad, that's for sure. We are talking about Zula for whoever reads the comics about her.
The game is fairly fun but can be a lot challenging and sometimes unfair due to some flaws - the game isn't perfect but it's not bad. I enjoy it.

Apparently the most recent update has overhauled Alien spawns (they previously spawned at timed intervals) so maybe the game allows you to actually enjoy exploring and reading lore now.
I'm not exactly sure but I think you misread it just like me.
They'll still spawn on timer intervals. They'll just no longer beeline straight to you. They'll roam around the area for sometime before retreating for a bit unless they hear you making noises or stumble upon you while you are doing something.
They'll definitely retreat after some time if you are in panic rooms.

Granted, I haven't played the game before the update so I can't tell how much changed.
