If they keep up this format, they've really got something good going. Every season of AHS always ends up feeling bloated with the huge ensemble cast - which spirals into way too many characters/plotlines.

But the anthology format allows them to keep the cast manageable for each episode, and don't force them to stretch premises past a breaking point.
