Anyone keeping track of how many of these "rumors" are true?

Predicts the worst decade for Sony starting 2022
It seems like every other week we hear a "rumor" about something big is going to happen and almost every time it doesn't. I swear I heard the Switch 2 was going to be revealed about a Dozen times by now. Every up coming event like the latest Sony Show "State of Shit" there are all of these juicy rumors with news that all of us want and they are almost always false. I swear most of the time it's just some kind of pretend insider who throws shit at the wall and hoping it will stick. There have already been big leakers who have admitted they made shit up and many people believed them.

What is a crazy idea is many of these "leaks" or "secret game announcements" that never come to fruition are games that would easily sell but the publishers and developers let it fall on deaf ears. Some games with Name alone like Half Life 3 would sell millions on just name alone but the publisher is like FUCK YOU we are going to work on something else. A proper Bloodbourne remaster fans have been wanting or many beloved franchises just get ignored. Sorry old man shaking the stick rant over/

I am to the point where I hear a new "rumor" or "leak" I automatically think bullshit because it is. It's a good tactic for getting a quick click but also tells people your word does not mean squat. Is anyone or any source tracking these idiots and their horrible prediction histories?

Anyone can claim anything and any Tom, Dick or Harry can post any old shit anywhere at any time.

A rumour means nothing to me. I hear it, (sometimes) process the implications of it being true, then forget about it.

No industry worker under NDAs is gonna risk his job for 5 minutes of shitty internet fame

You just need to know which one's are reliable. No one has a 100% track record, but folks like Grubb are a lot more often right than wrong, despite whatever you might think of him as a person.

There's also some 'insiders' who just scrape back-end databse stuff, so things from them is pretty much almost always right.

Yet we get real leaks all the time the hard part is trying to decide which ones are true
I think most of these come through external vendors: localisation, retailers, manufacturers, ad agencies, certification boards, etc. Internally, these companies have pretty insane disclosure processes.

Can’t say I keep track of anyone. It’s more about multiple independent people corroborating the same thing. Where there’s smoke there’s, usually, fire etc.
