Sounds more like a fanfic written by a 13 year old about how woke their imaginary game dev job is.

The sad reality is that They’re not going to stop making these types of threads, people get made fun of/talked down to for complaining about the forum being overloaded with these threads, and no one will stop them from making these types of threads, because any very teeny tiny action taken against them is seen as ‘purple side’ behavior. But i am getting tired of these threads.
I really think all these should be off topic.
The whole gaming board is full of this lately and its getting old.
Might be exaggerated a bit, but it sounds exactly as any other corporation, similar to the one I work in, minus the DEI stuff since I'm in a Eastern European country. Creativity in corporations is at an all time low and it is indeed just a factory line. Sadly most have no choice but to work there, it's a living. Not sure how true any of these allegations are,
This rumor comes from YouTuber..
So we're taking the word of YouTube rage grifters seriously?AccolonnTV
I don't know what's more pathetic, making these videos or watching them regularly.Whenever one of these random yooutube grifters pop up I always check what other content they make.
If it leans heavily in either direction.........doubt!!!!!!!
Yup thats a grifter.
No thanks.

From there he shared that this original insider as well as another detailed how Ubisoft’s video game development processes are all bogged down in administration and bureaucratic meetings.
He explained, “The next thing that was revealed to me — and this is from both insiders — is actually just the nightmare of designing video games for Ubisoft. Gaming today, according to these insiders, are more like a factory line and a logistical nightmare than it is about creativity. In order to get anything done you take weeks of meetings and department logistics to get all of the teams involved. And then you get to do the thing and then once you're done with the thing you have to go into more meetings in order to implement the thing. There's just so little space for actual creativity.
Ubisoft joined the DEI hiring trend hard to win social media points and now they are paying the price.
Regarding the coding part of the development, I want to say that for years i've been vocal in my university and colleagues, about the trend of teaching higher level languages and leaving behind C/C++ and Assembly.
This leads to programmers detached from the machine and many times they don't understand the impact of their code on the machine.
I work in embedded and every now and then we get a new colleague from CS instead of EE.
None of them so far knew how to optimize on the low level and gain back machine cycles.
Of course that's anecdotal and my personal observation, but i truly believe that the average programmer today produces worse code than 20 years ago.
Sad thing is, you can't even get any visibility on YouTube now unless your video titles make your channel look like a bowl full of angry ragebait turds. Even people who try to make good content by actually doing more research than copying the worst troll posts of the day on twitter or reddit do it.Whenever one of these random yooutube grifters pop up I always check what other content they make.

We'll if the leak is true, he wouldn't send it to Kotaku and the like. The official sites and channels acted blind to the Dei issues all those years, so people had gone to these "grifters" who voice their frustrations, thus becoming a proper go-to for the raw side of gaming news, which makes them the ideal media to spread such a leak.Whenever one of these random yooutube grifters pop up I always check what other content they make.

That's crazy talk. You think some YouTube grifter with zero accountability might just be making things up that you want to hear just because it contains no real verifiable information or any new details? Astonishing cynicism. My biggest issue with the "leak" is that it fits way to well to what we've been saying all this time. It makes me suspicious, if not because I expect to be wrong on at least a couple of things when actual behind-the-scenes information is revealed.
Apparently, guys merc brand is Fat Man Gaming.

Can ubisoft sue him for false accusation or some shit when they are so blatantly making stuff up?They wouldnt email a random nobody on youtube.
There are other "grifters" who have a bigger audience who would more likely be emailed.
Hell Asmogold would have been a perfect person to email cuz he is quite critical of devs who follow trends and/or push random agendas.
If a channel is full of nothing but ragebait chances are they are full on grifter hunting for engagement.
Hard not to believe it.

First thing I did as well, channel filled with exactly the kind of nonsense I expected. You'd have to be braindead to take these people seriously.Whenever one of these random yooutube grifters pop up I always check what other content they make.

ftfySounds like the average IT department.
I'm sorry, their recent output says otherwise.I'm sorry but this is horseshit. If there is anything that you can’t deny it's that the actual developers at Ubisoft are very talented regardless of what you may think about their writers.
“Then there's the what he refers to as the good developers, but they don't have brands. They don't tweet,” he relayed. “And he calls himself one of these developers. They make up a small portion of those developers that are still left at Ubisoft. The problem is while they're good they don't have names so they can't get jobs anywhere else.”
