I already played most of the games I found unplayable on the Switch on Yuzu, so probably not. But the difference between some games was pretty astronomical. Pokemon Scarlet/Violet for example.
They looked and ran like shit on the Switch. When I played them on Yuzu though, I ended up enjoying them quite a bit. I can definitely see the value in the Switch 2's ability to run enhanced editions of certain titles.
Deadly Premonition Origins is another one I'm interested in seeing how it performs on the Switch 2.
I already finished the game I will LOVE if we get Switch edition for it.Astral Chain
I don't think that games automatically get enhancements, most of the ones you mentioned don't have any enhancements listed yet.Yes, a handful games and that's my reason for buying Switch 2, new games will come anyway so I have no hurry:
There are some games I put down after completing story because of the 30 fps limit, I like smooth motion and can't stand how choppy 30 fps look or IQ (I don't need realistic graphics, Switch games look amazing already to me):
- Link's Awakening
- Echoes of Wisdom
- Bayonetta 3
- Astral Chain (30fps limit puts me down)
Those are enough for me to carry me for a while, I don't care about MKW or DKB, Switch 2 already checked my needs and I'm happily getting it day 1 if I can.
- Zelda TOTK
- Xenoblade 3. Haven't even gotten expansion yet hoping that Switch 2 will give it a performance + IQ boost
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land
- Fire Emblem Three Houses. I played 38h, got bored and didn't finish it, but want to go back with an upgrade patch
- Xenoblade 2. I mean, I wanted to do 100% but IQ and frame rate are atrocious even for a Switch game, I also need to play Torna but didn't for the same reason
- Probably will want to replay Xenoblade 1
Of those I haven't purchased anything except for the second list (except for Xenoblade expansions, I haven't bought them yet) so Nintendo will get some money from me out of already existing games, which is a good incentive for upgrading games.
From the list without upgrade confirmed: Astral Chain, Bayonetta 3, Xenoblade 2 and 3, FE:TH.TOTK for sure. I played it for a bit and liked it a lot but put it down and it didn't run great. It's amazing they got such a technically advanced game running on Switch but just that alone might be a system seller.

Same here, it was a fun game but the graphics really dragged it down. On TV the jaggies and shimmering is really gross, I couldn't appreciate the nice artwork.I haven't finished Zelda TOTK. Going to finish that through the upgrade.
I'm hoping for 60fps.Same here, it was a fun game but the graphics really dragged it down. On TV the jaggies and shimmering is really gross, I couldn't appreciate the nice artwork.
Yikes, I just kind of assumed it will be 60 fps. Let's hope!I'm hoping for 60fps.
They said higher framerate so the jury is still out on what they meant, hopefully not some 40fps crap I can't use on my non-vrr TV. 60fps locked would be transformative.

I think it's safe to assume 4K60, Digital Foundry did a check on most of the big games:Yikes, I just kind of assumed it will be 60 fps. Let's hope!
I guess there could be drops below 60 at times, but it seems like that's what Nintendo is aiming for at least.
- Elden Ring runs at 1080p ~30fps, with frame pacing issues attributed to video capture rather than the game itself.
- Duskbloods is 1080p 30fps, with proper frame pacing.
- Donkey Kong Bananza runs at 1080p 60fps, with some minor drops.
- Mario Kart World reaches 1440p 60fps.
- BoTW and ToTK Switch 2 editions run at 1440p 60fps.
- Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is native 1080p 30fps, with some frame pacing issues.
- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and 4 runs at 4K 60fps.
