Are there any Xbox Diehards here tonight ready to give your gaming life over to PlayStation now that Xbox games are coming to the platform?

Why would someone who has a library on a console then switch to buy the same games again (not to mention buying a ps5)?

Does it still count if I own all the platforms? The PS5 definitely has some bangers, but I'm not giving up PC or Nintendo, sorry. As for Xbox, yeah, that's gone. With all the Microsoft games I want coming to PC, there's just no reason to own one (Unless they do a surprise Fable timed exclusive and it turns out great).

It depends on what Microsoft will offer in the end of the generation.
If they dismiss their console business, I will keep my Xbox because of my huge digital library.

Which platform would be the next then?
PlayStation or Switch or Steam Machine.

To be fair even though Sony's first party is now absolute kak, PS still attracts a lot of good third party exclusives as a result of being the larger of the 2 platforms.
 
I love watching console peasants fight like poor people regarding their plastic box full of value, counting pixels and talking about how well their game was upscaled from 1080p.

How? Games still coming. And MLB still on Xbox (now without GP). Why do I care if xbox games go multiplatform. Many already had PC ports from the 360 days like Gears. If anything, I'll play on PC if needed where I can use gamepad or m/kb. GP games go on both platforms unless it's a specific PC only game.
 
I own both already but Gamepass has spoiled me, I didn't have to buy any of those games on Day 1 release. Yet played them all greatly. Value wise Playstation is the worst console to invest in imo.

I don't think your question makes sense, at least to me. If they're my favorite games, then I have them already, on Xbox. Why would I want to buy another box to play the same games?

For myself, I'll buy a Sony console when Sony does that thing it hasn't done yet this time around, but used to be so good at. You know - release one of those games I simply *have* to play.

fully agree with you though. Why would I buy another box to play xbox games games I already play on xbox? plus theres gamepass....Then there is also the fact that I play playstation games on PC.

You just answered how. Many are going to stop going to the platform and have been skipping from Japan and China.
 
Why the fuck would I do that for? I don't buy MS games anymore. And MS has finally pushed me to build a gaming PC rig.

Historicaly since the ps3, sony sucks most of the generation and end it with a swan song and fanboys act like this platform can't go wrong even before the start of next gen consoles, at least there has to be consistency with contents to make me think switching to PlayStation.
 
I dont think anybody cares. It's not like the PS5 has exclusives anymore, all their current and upcoming exclusives are coming to PC. If the next Xbox is going to be a rumored pc then we can play PS exclusives on there.

But if games still come to various platforms like PC where I got a decent laptop gaming PC, who cares.

It's like back in the day my first DVD player was Panasonic, then bought a Panny BR player, then my Xbox One X and SX plays 4k. Who cares about a Panasonic 4k player (if they even make one). I can still play any movie I have on a different device.

As for Xbox, the game profile even continues on PC.
 
Nah, I'd go to PC before I went back to playstation. There isn't anything for me over there that I can't play on xbox. I'm too far invested in the xbox ecosystem that it just doesn't make sense to switch platforms.
 
You don't leave a cult that easily. Switching to the platform that has all the games instead of just a subset is for sane, rational people.

Yea only sane people would turn their backs on their current libraries, give up on Gamepass where they are playing their games already at no additional cost, buy a PlayStation that has games they clearly don't care about, pay for online since it's not included and then buy each game at full price they were already getting day one

Even I mainly play on PC and PS and couldn't tell you the last time I turned on my Xbox but this thread shows drinking started early by some of these posts
