I watched the first two episodes for the first time since they aired and holy crap the change from "placeholder Sara" to Lotz (or now in this case Lotz going back to the original actress) was even more jarring than I remembered.

I think the Walking Dead and Arrow deserve credit for a resurgence of comics on TV as a major entity.
Granted,Smallville was huge when it aired, but it was always kind of... well not quite Superman. Arrow has no problems embracing its comics roots.

HAHA I remember this. It's an example of one of the great things about this show. Practical reactions that take place. As soon as he got tossed across the room he went "nope" was gone out the window.

Arrow is allowed to embrace it's roots because Smallville took that first step. As for Smallville not being Superman, it's Clark's Journey to superman and I feel they dragged it out for too many seasons
