Assassin's Creed Shadows Details Leak, Copies are already being sold

X7Xw6d9.png
it's so incredibly obvious that all they had to do was ditch whatsisname...

So :
- very early build on disc/unpatched with no improvements from the delay.
- out of the 60-100 hours these games take to finish, guy has played 10
- "very polished", "no bugs", BUT, npc walked through walls 🤣
- dodging and parry mechanic feels way too slow for him.
- "Good side missions"...in an AC game...yeah

...and yet, game has magically "lived up to his hype" -“Ghost of Tsushima with an AC feel with better stealth”, riiiighttt.

Yeah, this is either A) a very early honeymoon phase or B) a controlled "leak"/Shilling/panic mode advertisment.

Edit : that 4-second video with the character on fire is...lol

Wow fascinating.
An extremely old build thats polished, plays really well, great cutscenes, very interesting missions, lives up to the hype.
Did Ubisoft's CEO leaked this one?

Looks like they delayed the game last minute, when they already had the copies printed.

I'm sceptical about the solid technical side, especially for an old build. Past big AC games needed quite a lot of polishing after the launch.

You’re right

At least it means there will be no way of preserving this piece of shit in the future.

Once the server shuts down this abomination will be lost to history.
Isn't there a difference between installing and playing?

I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if you have to be online to play the game. But it doesn't say that internet is required to play.

Lol I highly doubt this live to GoT expectations. Specially when the chick is the one who the leaker played the most and Yasuke is the one who is "good at combat"(and probably the one who is more closer to GoT combat). Already seing inconsistences.
I honestly think it looks like GoT but with more verticality. GoT world is too... flat.

I was talking more the gameplay aspect.
Naoeh is the typical AssCreed gameplay, so there isn't much of new here.
Yasuke on the other hand is strictly combat oriented. So out of 2, he is the one people could see resemblance with GoT since one of defining comcepts of GoT is the combat (it can't be stealth as everyone claims to be an AssCreed clone).
Problem is that according to the leaker, he barelly ever get to touch Yasuke and mainly plays with Naoh. This for me is a clear inconsistence.

What's so special about GoT combat?

In Lethal difficulty, combat is very tight, enemies aren't sponges, and it's just one or two hits for everyone to die. Like TLOU, this is one of those games designed for the highest difficulty. Playing it in normal or "hard" makes the experience too casual, even mediocre, as in AC (they should have gone full Prince of Persia, combat-wise).

This take is pretty elitist and dismissive of how different people enjoy games. Not every game needs to be played on the hardest difficulty to be engaging. Some players care more about the story, exploration, or atmosphere rather than brutal challenge

Ghost of Tsushima was designed to be immersive and cinematic at any difficulty. Not everyone wants an ultra-hard experience, and calling normal or hard mode "mediocre" completely ignores the game's strengths, its storytelling, exploration, and fluid combat system

Your take reeks of elitism because it pushes the idea that there's only one valid way to play Ghost of Tsushima

Morons going "OMG THAT LOOKS INSANE" at the most mundane, trivial stuff imaginable will hurt this game more than any bad review.
I agree with you. People will come to see what's so hot that the game is being praised that in reality the footage will just have the opposite effect on them. Coupled with the already press, this will do more harm than good.

Will play the original and mirage before I even consider shadows, Valhalla only happened three years ago and still stands as the absolute biggest.

To be like GoT the combat should be great, challenging, and without 2-gen-old animations, so no, this can't be like GoT.
There is nothing really challenging about GoT’s combat loop, imo. And, the animations in said game are the same canned ones that happen from the 1st hour, all the way to the last. It’s a fun loop definitely, don’t get me wrong, but I wouldn’t call it “great”.

Did people suddenly stop caring about these? These types of cutscenes do well to enhance the immersion, and are appreciated in the amount of work and time that goes into crafting them.
It’s more that I find it weird to mention in impressions. Monster Hunter Wilds has them too, but generally speaking I doubt many people care. They do look nice, I’m not denying that.

Seems a bit harsh, no? If that difficulty is his sweet spot, then anything below that will feel casual or mediocre to him. People who like normal difficulty will naturally find very easy modes mediocre as well. It's the whole point of difficulty modes, to cater to different sweet spots. It doesn't come across as an attack on others' ability, preference or experience, in my opinion.

No, the game wasn't designed just for lethal difficulty, but it's the natural way to feel about it, if that's your sweet spot.

Lethal didn't even exist when GoT launched, so how could it have been designed for it?
