Atomfall - Reviews Thread

Bought the deluxe edition after seeing some gameplay and it's a really interesting game. Removes a lot of the hand holding and just lets you explore without really giving you much to go on other than some clues (or leads in this case). You can stumble across a group of assholes and get fucked up pretty quick if you're not prepared. It kind of just gives you the tools and then you take your own approach.

It's one of the first games in years where I've actually taken time to read the notes and comics (which reminds me of those 50's and 60's war hero books my grandad used to read). It's not for everyone, but it's definitely different enough and I can see other developers taking some inspiration from it.

Saw this a moment ago. It got me interested. Mac is usually hard on games, but he praises the exploration and immersion here. He has some complaints about other aspects, but overall he gives it a good early impression (based on 7 or 8 hours of play).
