I definitely play more than that but getting to lvl 15 or 25 is not that quick if you play a couple of matches a day you wont get there.
im lvl 40 i think? and i play a lot - not all day of course like some who are lvl 80.

Thats modern day shooters. Cringeworthy characters, post game taunts, cheesy mtx are all the rage. As odd as they seem, they are somehow great money makers so no matter how much gamers say they dont buy this shit, they are lying and some of them are making EA, UBI and Activision billions in mtx fees.

This game has been in development for 3 years, no campaign, and a tact on Hazard Zone. Question is what the fuck have they been doing for 3 years?

Only highlight of this dog pile of shit is Portal, which is basically remake of old maps and gameplay. They should be ashamed for charging people $70 for this tech demo and people that support this are suckers.

Oh wait check steam what? Year later? what? BF2042 has a long way to go, but the problem with Multiplayer only games is that people a lot of times don't come back. They will come back if the game has a good foundation and things are fixed, but this game doesn't have a good foundation.
I haven't bought Cyberpunk 2077 still because of the fiasco, I'll get it in early 2023. It's much easier to snag Cyberpunk later on because it's a single player game. BF2042 may fix all of the issues eventually, but I'm afraid by that time nobody will give a shit as it's been proven with BFV with a poor foundation.

when most use origin? wtf....where is your proof of that? ur gonna tell me 105k which is one million copies sold on steam, that there are more ppl playing on origin? the game is in bad shape, when you lose more than 2/3 of your playerbase not evne two weeks after launch, its bad...specially on steam...you can probably find ppl on consoles. On PC game is gonna be dead in a few months, if not earlier. It will kick back up when updates and expansions come about.
steam db may not be a good metric for you, but steam concurrent users peak doesnt lie.

clickbait with no valid claims is your MOST USE ORIGIN statement. Come on...105k concurrent is 1million sold on steam, no way origin beats that on PC, not even close. While i agree that the list you were handed with everything broken is not correct cause when the game works, it works...there are plenty of issues. Wether you like the additions or improvements they made to the gameplay, thats up to you. But we all know that steam is where the sales are at, not fucking origin lmao.

No, I hate hyperbole period...I want UNBIASED insight..not an army of horrible takes with no nuance... The game in my opinion needs a few patches...but its fun, I like the huge maps and audio design, great visuals, It actually feels like war and is next level immersive with the great partcle effects and solidier banter...that being said theres no excuse for the TONS of missing features and gamers deserve more..It needs patches PERIOD..point is don't single this game out when day 1 patches are far too common.

I played the game, that list is pretty valid. Like I said, the game is missing fundamentals of a Battlefield game. Your problem is that you think I'm going out of my way to troll Battlefield 2042 and that's simply not true.
I love the franchise and I had huge expectations for 2042. I'm pissed how this game launched and want nothing to do with it. You can go ahead and support this all you want, it's not going to change the fact that they missed the boat once again. This DICE is no DICE of yesteryears as most of those folks left 2-3 years ago and it fucking shows.

Alright, you want to get into this? SteamDB does state how many players play on steam. Correct, thats the only info we have at this moment.
But lets look at other player tracking sites (albeit they could also be very wrong depending on how they collect data)
On Steam it says about 136K people are playing Apex, for example. On other tracking sites they say 850K are playing Apex overall. That means that Steam accounts for less than 16% of all players.
So is it really a good indication of player loss? not really.

Worst BF title where the foundations aren't even in place. At least BF4 had that and the LA DICE Team created the CTE (Community Test Environment) build up the game fixed it up with the community and even added in a heck load of UI & QoL changes along with a bunch of community maps.
20-42FPS won't even have that because the community won't be sticking around because the game doesn't even have the basics. It really annoys me when people say this game has potential, How can it have potential when it's foundations aren't even here?!

Oh i agree with that one, as i mentioned in my response to him the Commander and no voice chat is a huge issue.
it's my biggest complaint and something that could drastically improve teamwork.
If we're talking fundamentals that's the only one that really should be fixed ASAP

2077 was different as the biggest issues with old consoles were bad graphics and frame rate. And that leads to bad gameplay. PC's much better performance naturally fixes clunky gameplay.
BF's missing features, hit reg etc... seem common across all platforms.

A shooter game that is supposed to be all about working together to do objectives has issues with voice chat, commander and squading up is a-ok?
Even when I played COD on Xbox 360 partying up and voice chat were all standard.
Err, not really. I swear the more posts I read on this forum the more I realize nobody complaining about the game actually knows anything about BF. Its a sandbox where you can do a lot more than just shoot guns, so naturally theres a bigger chance that issues will spring up that you don't see in many other shooters. That doesn't excuse the state the game launched in, but I feel like at this point people are just jumping on the hate bandwagon because everyone else is doing it.

How many times have gamers been lied about a game's quality.
BF 2042 is just another instance of journalist lying to consumers.
Thousands of gamers, who paid with their own money, are much more trust worthy than corrupt journalists that get sponsor ads, reviewer packages, and all type stuff to buy good scores.
This is nor just a handful of consumers that think the game is bad, it's tens of thousands of people.

There is fun to be had here but just so many broken aspects of the game is killing it.
If someone is enjoying it thats great just don't defend people paying money for a broken game then complaining

Remember these bugs were in beta and remember EA saying the beta build was several months old and would be fixed for launch?

plot twist: most people complaining haven't paid money for this game or even played the game.
example:
as a result of more and more people like this, this whole matter becomes a game of broken telephone with issues being exaggerated or completely fabricated by people who haven't played the game.
just in the first page of this thread alone someone said the Santa skin was paid DLC and no one corrected him. another guy said there's no destruction in the game when all you need to do is tap a wall with a hovercraft to tear it down.
the game has a lot of issues, and that validates people's frustration with the game, but shit like this is why people feel like the game is also being review bombed. some of this criticism is straight up bullshit by people who haven't played the game lol.
