Concerning, but also not surprising. We live in a world where most people are terminally online. Who would have thought giving every Tom, Dick and Harry a voice would be a bad thing? The benefits to the internet age are far outweighed by the negatives at least as far a creating well socially adjusted individuals.

I was never trusted (good enough) to be a real closer
Was never good enough to closer or be a starter but just good enough to stay in the league

They go off on diatribes, usually resorting to insults (not excluding racist remarks), shaming, etc.
Then when anybody says anything they take a "run behind cover" approach, continue to take potshots at you, try to rally their fellow idiots, and otherwise try and play it off like they're the victim.
Best thing to do is not even engage them, and ignore their bullshit.

Thankfully I knew the game was shit so I didn't buy it, but if I spent 70 quid of my hard earned cash and was duped into buying it based on the "reviews" I would be all over the social media accounts responsible and fucking raging.

Obviously don't attack people personally, but at the same time, I'm all for accountability. If you make a game that fans don't want and layoffs occur as a result of that, I'm sorry but that's life. People get laid off from their jobs every day. Just because you work in the games industry doesn't mean you're exempt from that.

These guys think they are the extreme majority. They live in a bubble. When they dunk on "chuds", they do not think it will affect sales by much because everybody they know agrees with their warped world view. We will be seeing a lot more failed studios and shaming videos in the years to come. We as gamers need to move on. Plenty of good studios remain and plenty of new ones pop up every year. No need to cling on to studios like Bioware that have long outlived their usefulness.
