Like hip hop gamer this game is going to catch a lot of people out, these games ain't for everyone just this morning I watched a twitch stream with a dude saying its shit because he couldn't equip his weapon. Gonna be a lot of uninformed people crying because the game doesn't hold their hand and point them down a corridor.

Its true, a lot of people are not acquainted with this type of game, and its not for everyone.

Notice how Mr Hiphop gamer says its his first hour. First hour out of 40+ hours. You can tell when someone has never played a Souls game

I'll admit I was surprised when I couldn't find any weapons and ended up getting shredded in the next room over from where I woke up.

Dual wielding my fists was kinda funny though.

Never played a souls game either. Having played around an hour now and having a blast. Died three times already but I think that will happen a lot more often.

Going blind into the Souls games is the best gaming experience ever. Only seek help if you're really stuck. And in that case I suggest asking fellow gamers and not turning to a guide.

I was taking what they wrote as not looking up really what these types of games are. Because there's been a few already saying this isn't their type of game. Otherwise, I agree. I've watched 2 total trailers for this game and I've skimmed the reviews until I get to experience it.

Ironic how two of the most likely best performing PS exclusives this year are going to be Japanese games. FIrst this, then P5.

I hope this sends a message to Sony to keep investing talent and chances into Japanese game development. They have been focusing on western studios for a decent while, but in Japan, there's still a treasure trove, a wealth of talent to be found there

I'm pleasantly surprised by the reviews. I was expecting lower scores to be honest. Not because it's a bad game but it's hard has hell and a ps4 exclusive.

To presume reviews don't play even a small role towards pushing sequels is a little naive. Sales depend on how hard Sony pushes the game, it's on them. The reviews just make it easier for them to convince people it's worth playing. FROM did their job and Sony would be dumb not to support them again with a sequel.
Lets not ask for more exclusives.

That's "Dr." dofry to you.
I will give this 6 weapons out of 10. Meh.

But for reals. I won't touch any of the reviews and just play it later tonight. No better way to experience a game but to go there blind.

Because it would be nice if there was another Souls game that people who owned other platforms got to play?

Remember this series started as an exclusive anyway with Demon's Souls. I'd say Bloodborne is it's own game, a clone of it's self. So I'm fine with it staying an exclusive. It's a Mewtwo in the gaming world.

But the Dark Souls saga will more than likely continue to be on all platforms. I can't imagine it not.

Yup, Bloodborne, P5 and MGSV are all going to be top rated games I think, and all Japanese.

Btw I think Sony has alreayd gotten the message. Nearly all their collaborations have been with Japanese devs (Deep Down, DDO, Bloodborne, L5's game (possibillity), likely involved with DQH in some way) and NIS also said how they are even helping them a bit with funding smaller games.

Japan needs the help and its good that someone is doing that.

Why do you want it to be exclusive?
I would assume Dark Souls 3 would be that eventually? Also why not want it to be exclusive if the results are something like Bloodborne which I'm enjoying quite a bit at the moment.

There will be other From Software exclusives for PS4 and a Dark Souls 3 for everybody.

Shuhei fucked up with Demon's Souls. Without his fuck up, who knows, maybe their would be no Dark Souls.

Is there a Bloodborne PS4 bundle, or is it just the 'with game' pack like this one? £349 seems a decent price I guess if Zavvi is cheap for console only.

Reinstalling DS2 for some practice.

Sony wanting FS to develope another Bloodborne prevents another Souls game how exactly? Isn't that Bandai Namco's call?

Dark souls is already a thing and is multiplatform. You have no reason to be worried about it becoming exclusive. And i'm sure there will be other multiplat games too.

As long as Sony is helping fund new games that would not have been made, we should be encouraging of that practice as it gives From additional ways to put out games, and helps soften the blow from putting resources into those multiplat projects you want. They get money from Sony funded games, they spend that money on games you want to see as well.
