Dave, I have a Wii U question: Can off TV play be activated without using a TV at all, it reads like it can, so I can turn on the Wii U and play games from the controller while the gf watches the fucking Voice or w/e?

I checked and most of the games that support it are solid (Blops 2, MH3, NSMB).

It varies game by game from what I can tell. eShop shite like Punch Out and Kirby can be launched without a TV, NSMBU & Nano Assault can both be launched without a TV. Assassins Creed 3 needed Off-TV enabling in the options, but once I'd done that it can be launched without switching the TV on.

It's a really cool feature but now the novelty has worn off, I've gone back to playing the Vita when the TV ain't available. The battery life, range and washed out screen really limit the appeal of the pad.

Assert your dominance in the house - relegate your gf to watching shitty saturday telly on a laptop or tablet while you get the tv. I realised this recently - wait, why am I letting you watch Britain's Got Talent while I play on my iPad waiting for the TV to be free? It's not logical in any way, it's just filler TV that you're not even invested in. So I threw my iPad at her and stuck the playstation on :p

Depends on the game. NSMBU you can just turn on without the TV since it mirrors everything to the GamePad.
On the other hand Sonic Racing Transformed requires you to swipe down on the GamePad to activate off TV play.

Eh, I'm quite lucky like that. The missus watches her shite TV (stuff like Game of Thrones, Hart of Dixie, that kinda thing) on her laptop, usually when I'm not around. I give up the TV because she watches stuff that I enjoy but I either don't need to actually watch, or I've seen before. Neither of us entertain reality TV or soaps, fortunately.

Nowadays I tend to prefer having my own little self-contained screen to be honest. The big exception is on the weekend if I have a full afternoon / evening free.

I think it's a sybian. But the reason I like this gif (and dislike so much pro stuff with its freaky obsession with HD closeups) is because the focus is on a beautiful face experiencing pleasure. Yup, I prefer my porn from the 80's and 90's as well, pre HD, pre the obsession with facials / spitting / creampies and snowballing etc... pre the talent being waxed, tanned and made up so much they are not relatable, back when they seemed to be enjoying it.

I don't know if I would go as old-skool as that, I prefer just watching the low-res streams instead, or homemade stuff, it's grimier and therefore more representative of reality to me. I hate the pro stuff with all the day-glo and pastel colours and the women dressed in some ridiculous whore outfit.
