Complaining about not finding something funny is objectively worse than posting a picture you may or may not find amusing
People get pissy at everything on gaming side. Had someone start on me earlier for apparently telling him what his opinion was when I did no such thing.
The nerve.
I don't mean to poke the bear or anything, but I can understand why people are getting frustrated with GAF right now.
A lot of Gaming and OT seem to be full of people spouting their opinions and shitting on everyone else's and there's SO MANY posts criticizing other people's posts for no reason other than to argue or cause drama.
On top of that, I don't understand a lot of the modding that seems to be going on - like Tash getting a 3 day ban for asking "where's the funny" on a picture in the funny pictures thread that really wasn't funny (a lot of the pictures in there aren't even attempting humour - so much almost-porn and "oh look...a thing..." in there it's untrue) and I REALLY don't get when stuff like you closing this thread for a month (OK, you changed your mind, but still) happens. What point was that supposed to serve?
Again, I'm not looking to be a dick about it, but I'm finding a lot of where GAF seems to be right now to be less than comforting. It's like GAF has lost it's direction of late.
That's a rule for that thread because otherwise it would be even worse. It's in the OP

Agree with these. Nintendo threads are awful lately since the last couple of years of Nintendo performing badly have put its supporters on full fucking alert, any dissent about the company and they swarm on you. I still don't see why Tash was banned (seems like mods were finding any excuse after that post from last year was quoted in a recent thread), and that this thread was almost closed for a while for no real reason?
At the same time all the meta discussion on gaf is pretty boring too.
I think it's a bit stupid to have a rule like that, but then for a lot of the shit that's posted to be left as if it's on topic.
Again, I don't really care what's in there myself, but if there's a rule that you can't question what's posted, then somebody should be MODERATING it.

Someone did moderate it? Which is what you're complaining about? You're not sounding too bright at the moment.
Gaming is going to get way worse before it gets better, it naturally comes with the cycle. Nintendo fans should just be relieved that they only have 4-6 months of it left before everyone forgets about the Wii U as it fades further and further into irrelevance .
Someone did moderate it, but not well. The pictures weren't obviously funny and he was just asking for the the joke. Why should they deserve a ban for that?

It wouldn't be so bad if everyone just accepted Nintendo into their hearts and had fun.

It's in the thread rules. In the OP. Which you have to read before posting in a thread, as per the site's rules.
"Why do I have to follow this website's rules or be banned?!" It's a big internet. Go elsewhere.
Now Chinner has gone FOREVER this can start happening
What about following the subject of the thread in the first place? "Pics that make you laugh"
You realise "you" means the person who posts the picture, right?
OK, I get that it's a subjective thing, so my point isn't the strongest, but the main argument that I was making wasn't really about that thread, so much as the general happenings on GAF recently.
I'd still like to find out why this thread was going to be closed for a month for having been posted in the wrong section when it could easily have been moved at any point. Closing it for a month makes no sense to me whatsoever.
This thread is, for all intents, a chat room. And that's fine, in Community, where it's not bogging down Off-Topic (while Community is intended for subscription use and not f5ing). OT3 was intentionally posted on the Off-Topic forum after the thread's place was established in Community, which is basically a "fuck you" to the established parameters. Punitive action was taken in response, but some folks came forth expressing that there was a miscommunication about what the standard practices were and that there was confusion with the official thread rules on the Gaming side, with one person in particular taking blame and claiming to have convinced everyone of this, and that seemed like a reasonable enough mistake, so the decision was reversed.
Keep in mind that there are a lot of seriously salty anti-GAF people in this thread, including the creepy asshole who account suicided earlier today, so those are relevant circumstances as well for why the worst would be assumed.

Is there anything that can be done about the lack of visibility a thread like this has when it's buried away in Community? If you look at the first few pages here you'll see how many new faces we got thanks to it being in OT because they'd never seen the last one as nobody really browses the Community forums.
Im curious what is classed as a Anti-GAF member
would be kind to mention names not to start fights but to figure out what is viewed as anti-gaf
Is anyone else trying to win the McDonald's monopoly thing this year?
Hey, what tea do you guys prefer?
When is doctor who on?
Why do americans call biscuits the wrong thing?

A real tough guy would never use the term "wallop".Nah, I was the kid at school that full on walloped the idiot who kept antagonising people when he thought he was a hard man.
Wow. Just, wow. I'm making no comment because I don't want to get banned, but I may need to take a few days away, feeling like BritGaf and it's members are being personally attacked, and calling us names is not helping matters.
Take care and stay safe guys. See you in a few.
hey guys what's happening.
in Amsterdam airport does anyone want a gaf meet up?

Wait, hang on a sec. This whole drama is because the thread got moved to Community? Where it should've been in the first place?Drama for the Drama God.
No one is victimizing us so stop playing the victim, thread got moved to where it lives and some guy messed with the Bull and got the horns.
