Any and every first person shooter from this generation of games should have online co-op there should be no excuse why they don't.

Ok the now the Q is...

does COD4 have any gore in it ?

i mean even some blood sprays?, because if its just a puff of blood then that realistic cinematic experience just goes right out that window.

that has been my only pet hate with the series, its such a realistic war experience..but there never is any gore =/, i wana see limbs and chunks get blown off and people scream in pain with blood spraying everwhere ( see Saving private ryan, blackhawk down,) thats how war is.

ah well still be an amazing game regardless.

No intense gore, but there was a realistic spatter on the walls in the beta iirc, which goes a long way... You're looking more for Soldier of Fortune type gore I think...

Excluding the fact that the only accurate blanket statement is that blanket statements are inaccurate, let me throw out an example- I would HATE Half-Life 2 if I had to play it coop. There's so many spaces that are only made for one person to travel through, so many scenes where you trigger an change in the enviroment, and so much of the mood of the game is built on either (a) your isolation or (b) your relationship with Alyx. In other words, scripting kills co-opability. That said, I haven't played CoD4, so I can't say for sure whether it would have worked or not.

Edit: I second Eric WK's question and would like to go a bit further. Can they also describe the enviroments the mp maps take place in? (If they aren't self-explanatory) Thanks in advance!

Eh, they still have to be designed for it, you know. If what I've seen of this game is any indication, it'd be frustrating as hell to play this in co-op, as the game is clearly designed as a one player deal. No matter how great the illusion of openness is, this seems to be a very linear and narrow affair.
