Looks good for a native handheld.
This is a prerendered cinematic.
Some gaffers are upset that the Switch 2 is pretty decent for a hybrid device. Looks like Nvidia has come up witht the goods for Switch 2.Man, do you have anything positive or unique to say in this thread. You're just constantly repeating what you already said and making it clear you're not impressed.
We know mate.
Yup. People not hating on how bad it is, people hating on how good it is. Now, that should tell you everything you need to know. Some gaffers are upset that the Switch 2 is pretty decent for a hybrid device. Looks like Nvidia has come up witht the goods for Switch 2.

Nintendo Switch 2 Leveled Up With NVIDIA AI-Powered DLSS and 4K Gaming
The Nintendo Switch 2 takes performance to the next level, powered by a custom NVIDIA processor featuring an NVIDIA GPU with dedicated RT Cores and Tensor Cores for stunning visuals and AI-driven enhancements.blogs.nvidia.com
I think some on here are ar starting to come to terms witht he fact core hobby gamers are in the minority. This is why loads of scalpers got burnned on e-bay with PS5 Pro consoles. Tha mass majority of customers will see the Switch 2 as a more convinient option than the PS5 and Series X. And will not even notice any performance differences.Yup. People not hating on how bad it is, people hating on how good it is. Now, that should tell you everything you need to know.
Nop, it is real time, at least on Switch 2.This is a prerendered cinematic.
Lol, what an embarrassing response.
To me it's one of the most memorable gaming experiences for the last 20 years. It's a masterpiece.I still haven't played this. Is it worth it?
Lol, what an embarrassing response.
What is the name of the new chip? It's based on an old chip and a new one is releasing later this year which will be a big leap
It's a CGI cutscene man, nothing to do with the gameNop, it is real time, at least on Switch 2.
Yeah most don't have any idea what framerate or resolution is, and among the Nintendo userbase there are lots of kids and teenagers and there is no way they'll care about blurry textures on a necklace or whatever people noticed here on Street Fighter 6 when compared to PS5.Tha mass majority of customers will see the Switch 2 as a more convinient option than the PS5 and Series X. In general, Nintendo is associated with kids and moms.Yeah most don't have any idea what framerate or resolution is, and among the Nintendo userbase there are lots of kids and teenagers and there is no way they'll care about blurry textures on a necklace or whatever people noticed here on Street Fighter 6 when compared to PS5.
It's going to sell like crazy. Zero doubt.
…and dads and enthusiasts and old people with nostalgia. Age 15-25 might choose something else.In general, Nintendo is associated with kids and moms
I also let my 2yo mess around on my PS5 occasionally.…and dads and enthusiasts and old people with nostalgia. Age 15-25 might choose something else.
Also, one Switch 2 might not be enough for a family. One for the kids, if they're capable of sharing, and one for the mom and dad, or two if they're both enthusiasts and nostalgic. Nintendo might also pull the same stunt again with Animal Crossing where you could only have one owner of the island on the same device, or something like that I don't remember the details.
You don't know, the system isn't out and you rely on one news bit that says that some launch titles will be at 30 fps and low res.Well that's an issue because many of these ports will be 30fps and low resolution
The system just recieved Atomfall and gets enough AA indie support. Again, you are presenting things as definitive when at best its speculative. Why? There's nothing controversial being stated.
PS4 is a dead console. Switch 2 is the launch of a new console, that will have an audience willing to buy games they didn't have access to previously (like CP2077).
CP2077 has much more potential to sell copies on Switch 2 than the DLC expansion did on the PS4 which nobody plays anymore.
People demonstrate on countless times to be very insecure when it comes to their gaming preferences, to the point where its their entire life on the line. These aren't people that socialize, go to restaurants or actually work for that matter.lmao spot on
But why do we see this type of constant downplaying talk? What's the deal? It's usually coming from big fans of other platforms. Are they worried that people will sell their current platform and just use Switch 2 going forward?
Grace Blackwell is already out, as are the Orin chips. Both are beyond the Ampere tech speculated to be in Switch 2.What is the name of the new chip?
What's the source for this? Playing cyberpunk on anything but a ps5/series X/pc and you're just a glutton for punishment.Cyberpunk 2077
Xbox Series S = 60 fps - Dynamic resolution 800p-1080p
Switch 2 Portable = 20-30 fps - 540p resolution
Switch 2 Docked = 40 fps - Dynamic resolution - 800p-1080p
Ps4 = 30-15 fps. Frequent slowdowns in action scenes - Dynamic resolution 800p-900p
Ps4 Pro = 30 fps - 1080p resolution
Ps5 = 60 fps - Dynamic resolution - 1008p-1440p
Xbox Series X = 60 fps - Dynamic resolution 1152p-1440p
I searched about every version individually. Asked google about framerate and resolution of cyberpunk in all these systems. What's the source for this? Playing cyberpunk on anything but a ps5/series X/pc and you're just a glutton for punishment.
Right, but James said: "And even then, there will quickly be MUCH better handhelds in the market in a few months time."Grace Blackwell is already out, as are the Orin chips. Both are beyond the Ampere tech speculated to be in Switch 2.
As this thread shows James is just trying to get a rise out of people and/or make people doubt.Right, but James said: "And even then, there will quickly be MUCH better handhelds in the market in a few months time."
So I assumed he was talking about an actually releasing product. AFAIK there are no upcoming handhelds based on Ada or Blackwell SoCs.
Nop, some people that have played the game in the show floor have reported that it is real time. It's a CGI cutscene man, nothing to do with the game
I was just trying to get him to substantiate his claims rather than letting him get away with spreading FUD.As this thread shows James is just trying to get a rise out of people and/or make people doubt.
It seems it got to you.
But for an actual answer, he may or may not refer to the Ryzen Z2 AI SoC's that are rumored, but those are also rumored to just by Ryzen Z2 chips with NPU (AI) on top. Which is Strix Point class APU's, whose 880M/890M is comparable to Switch 2, argumentably.
You need glasses man
That big ass white lane is reflection from cars door chrome finish lane.Looks decent enough. What's the big ass white line on the first image? Did someone screenshot it or something?
The entire YT channel is sketchy AF. Better wait for official comparisons and we won't get that before June 2025Are we looking at handheld or docked mode in this comparison?
One would impress me, the other, so-so.
Lol, Is not about glassesYou need glasses man
Why is this video labeling the PS5 Version as PS5 Pro when there was no update or support for it? That's a bit misleading
You can literally see tech that is not in the game, dynamic shadows, realtime RT reflections, volumetric clouds and smoke, a seamless transition from space to ground, etc.Lol, Is not about glassessome people asked in the Showfloor, It's s not CGI
. But is ok, i understand you, obvious you are not a fan RetroStudio work and The Prime Series.

Why wouldn't you use RT in a prerendered cinematic? It's an offline render alreadythis is what you instantly thought were RT reflections?
the weird grey artifact next to the soldier's reflected foot looks like a weird SSR artifact.
why would they prerender a CGI sequence and then use SSR in it?
this could easily be just selective use of SSR in this specific sequence for cinematic effect. given that they can control the camera in cutscenes they can avoid having some of the more extreme SSR artifacts. these extreme artifacts might be the reason they aren't used during gameplay (thank fuck... SSR shouldn't exist period)
could also be selective use of planar reflections
