Maybe not supply constrained like the US (As per onQ's post) ??

Beating PS5 as well.

We'll see how long it lasts.

Also AFAIK Series has not been supply-constrained across UK or Europe at all; the demand has simply been dying over there. Even in UK their sales have been atrocious this year. MS must be doing a very aggressive sale for the S in UK right now, which I guess makes sense.

Likewise, SIE's probably shifted a lot of supply to the US ahead of Black Friday and Christmas holiday shopping.

Interestingly when you click on the series S and PS5 digital listings, the PS5 has more sales over the last month. Must be a flash sale thing, I see really weird pricing from the US (for me it's £167 for the series s and £257 for the PS5 DE which is a huge discount)

How do you figure the £199 price is a flash sale?

The PS5 isn’t supply constrained either.

Shopto has them for £299 today. First time they’ve reached the sub £300 mark.

Yeah that's the one my son and all his teenage friends have. Surprised it doesn't have higher numbers overall. The returns diminish so quickly this gen when you go higher with a Series X or a PS5.

You're right, my bad...

...It's € 166.

And as seen here, it's #33 for the entire month on Amazon UK.

So it's like I said: boosting stock to get a Black Friday PR win. That or going aggressive with a flash sale. One or the other, maybe both.

I know; SIE have been doing sales promos for PS5 across parts of Europe on/off several months now.

I'm just saying that Microsoft seem willing to do that now for the S, because the timing gives them a potential Black Friday PR win. It's not really about them wanting to improve console sales long-term, they've given up on that ages ago.

Only partly.

It’s not.

Currently that single SKU is. It’s the only XSS SKU in best sellers.

There are 3 Playstation 5 SKUs in the best sellers too.

PlayStation 5 is outselling it comfortably when you combine sales of them all.

Looks like they changed the price. It's £196 now: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08GD9M...ve=22374&creativeASIN=B08GD9MNZB&linkCode=df0

In September it was £208 at Amazon UK. It's not that big of a saving to be honest.

No point in taking a smaller subset (Amazon in UK) when we get monthly UK console sales data.

We'll have a bigger, better picture in a few days when the overall UK console sales data come in.

I mean...looking at it:

#7 - Series S
#11 - PS5 Digital
#53 - PS5
#63 - Series X
#67 - PS5 Fortnite Bundle

Thee's 3 PS5 skus in here and only one for Series S and another for Series X...and holy shit...they are selling it at 200£? Are they gonna pay people to get them in a year?

Considering how well the S has done compared to the X. It'll be interesting to see what options (if they even bring more than one SKU) we get for their next console. Maybe they'll just push the app and fire Tv sticks or something and a higher end box.

You are ‘holy shitting’ a 4 year old console that originally retailed at £249.99 now being sold in a sale for £199.99? 😂😂

Okaaaayyy!

I’ve just seen in a comment above saying that the PS5 is selling for £299. What says you? 6 months before they pay us to take one? If so, I’ll take one 😂

They are, but not all are £199.

If little Jimmy wants his first console to play Minecraft, Fortnite, Rocket League etc then the £199 price point is very appealing to parents.
My wife works in middle school and this is all they want to play (plus Roblox).
