Maybe it’s... the Ambition? The Craft? People’s own expectations?
I mean, mostly what I play is VR flight sims on a slightly underpowered rig so shitty performance and bugs don’t bother me.
Hell, I’ve been playing games on below recommended computers for decades. It just doesn’t bother me that much.
But this game man. The *immersion*. The... driving through night city with a trippy tune on the radio.

Yeah I had to smash a bunch of a specific lawn ornament for some pretty awesome quest and it was going up from using a melee weapon. Guess you’re right, prob just need to drain stamina. Funny because I’m always running but athletics is by far the slowest one for me to raise

21 hours in...the main quest line gets soo good. I’m trying to put it off by doing side quests so I can savor it. Luckily the side quests are really great

The taxi cab quest? So many references they make in that line. GlaDOS cab was fucked.
No one saw the console version.
Gamesindusty.biz is a very... Progressive... outfit so this is part of the hard lefts retaliation against CDPR for perceived slights to The Party but I do hope the console version isn’t *too* awful.
I would say the PC version is well within tolerable limits for a released product.

No, you should just be careful not to shoot the police or civilians when this shootout happens. Sometimes there are civilians cowering right in the middle of a firefight.

Yeah, like a ton of other mods. Third person mods are some of the most common for this kind of game, they usually happen.
and I only need a really basic one that let's me walk around the city.

The quest made me realize how big the world is and how many quests are out there
my cellphone was going off every 20 seconds during that quest
I think it was intentional to help give a lay of the land

I don't think mocking them is giving them attention.
I just chose the very first bald preset and had to fiddle a bunch to get the character to not look rough like she was born in the alley. The best improvement is cheeck make up...for some reason make up includes ugly frecklles in the future? Anyway see below for how my character turned out.
Exactly, who wants to down grade in size from real life when playing a fantasy game? That was a huge oversight. My solution? I chose vagina and a candy waxed pink landing strip.
The company wont give them a copy! Its not that the reviewrs cant afford it, its that the developers dont want anyone seeing their crap consoles performance and simply dont send any out before release.
It largely doestn matter...after 20 minutes the worlds start merging together. If you like the game enough after the first playthrough you can watch the other prolgues in 40 minutes.
Pretty sure its a good idea to leave body at minimum stats (3) and max out Cool at 6. From there you can quibble amongst the other three to your liking with 4's or 5's. There isnt much to go on so far as we are all just starting out.
Havent found any yet but dont mind being spoiled if people can drop a hint.
Here is my femme fatale looking corpo character: I didnt want to go the route of scarred up street kid off the bat.

7 hours in now and the game is growing on me. Just did a 4 hour session of exploring the map and doing side content. Much more fun that the early missions so far which are boring.
The game really isnt doing anything special. So much for all the 'Welcome to the next generation of open world games' bollocks. Its no different to a Ubisoft game really.
And whatever you do, dont go to crowded area and watch the npc's, talk about an immersion killer seeing them bumbling about, doing 90 degree turns, walking over each other, walking set routes then turning around and walking back lol. That with the glitches of them vanishing and spawning in front of you.

They're getting desperate now. Every game has pre-orders now. That's just how shit works. Every big game then comes out with some bugs that get fixed over time. I don't particularly like either, but to suggest that CDPR are doing something other publishers aren't is disingenuous. There does definitely seem to be a co-ordinated hit being put out by the media which shouldn't be a surprise as they're all mates on Twitter and post on Resetera.
I totally get why the went with it but I wish there was a janky ass option for third person.
Sight unseen? Pretty sure they released not just PC gameplay but PlayStation AND Xbox gameplay before launch.
anyway, CRPR are out to make money. They aren’t the good guys of gaming. They aren’t your friend. They don’t owe you anything. They want your money.
If people want to pre order a game “sight unseen” then that ain’t CDPR’s fault. People are idiots and will pre order. Maybe next time these people should not be so stupid. Don’t pre order. Wait until the game is out.

Completed the very early game mission with the Maelstrom Gang yesterday and absolutely loved it - really was on the edge of my seat wondering which way it would go. The branching mission structure is absolutely fantastic, it's giving me Detroit vibes in some ways, which was one of my favourite PS4 games in terms of story.

The conversations are just killer in first person. You feel like you're sitting there. Very HL2-y. I had originally imagined/hoped for 3rd person like a Division 2 with Cyberpunk theme. I usually like 3rd person like TW3 over first person like KCD.

PS5 checking in. It looks fantastic in certain instances but for the most part it’s underwhelming, needs a next gen patch and quick.
As many have pointed it it’s a buggy mess. I’ve never played a game thats launched in this condition before. The story, aesthetic and world are just dripping with style, which counter balances everything. That being said it does break the immersion quite often which is a huge bummer.
It’s obvious they wanted that holiday cash and to avoid any more bad pr because as most have said this 100% should of been delayed again.
Still pushing forward, playing and enjoying so far . Gonna do one play through as a corpo and save the two others for the next gen update.
Has anyone found any good settings for leds like the x900f? The hdr is a total mess lol

sorry man, but I’m playing in 4K with RTX ultra on a fucking brand new gaming PC on my 4K IPS G-sync monitor. I personally haven’t encountered any gamebreaking shit yet, just some small immersion breaking stuff. Stuff that’s in EVERY game.
I understand the console versions are a different story but, for me on PC, this is the most next-gen game I’ve ever played.
I've got to admit, after 6hrs, I've got no fucking idea what is going on.
I feel like I've been dropped into a foreign country and I've no idea what they are talking about, they are slinging nomenclature around like I should know what they are talking about, I don't, I feel like I should know who these people are, I don't.
It's really quite overwhelming, I see icons over people's head, I've no idea what the fuck they mean, I can talk to people who don't have a talk prompt, I can't talk to people who do, some people just start talking without any prompting, some people talk to you when you are talking to someone 10 metres away.
I've no idea how some events work, sometimes I get the police rain down on me for nothing, sometimes I can murder an entire block of people and not get any heat.
There are a million systems that I've no idea about.

No you're not thick. I have seen a few streamers really overwhelmed by the game. I spent a good 30mins in the menus working stuff out for myself as the game tells you very little for a game that has this much mechanics.

I’m 100 percent sure I never shot anyone, since I’m trying to do a non lethal play through. I went up and punched one of the gangmembers and then got a warning that I was breaking the law and had a bunch of cops and drones shooting at me. It wasn’t the cop that were in the gunfight that came after me either. Those cops stuck around to fight the gang members and ignored me. I got hit by the cops who were patrolling or called in as reinforcements.
