Yes, I am completely legitimately immune to any and all status effects
PS: There is a perk version of Immunity to Shock as well, so if you have that perk, you can swap out the armor plate for one that gives +200 Armor instead and be even more tanky.

Now that 1.04 has dropped for XSX I am blown away by the achievement they have here. Sure it still has unnaceptable bugs, but visually this is next level shit and it hardly drops a frame now. Its actually mindblowing, I cant get fully immersed because im constantly wondering how the fuck they created something so detailed and cohesive. Amazing work.

Yeah this is a really good summary here. I’m digging it on ps5 but really tempted to put it on ice until it sorts itself out either via a next gen patch or enhancements to the game via bc. Kinda don’t want to spoil it going through at this point, about 10 hours in.

Got the game on XSX and played up to just after the training stuff. Game looks ok but I really want that next gen wow. Trying to wait and not play it is hard as fuck and it's only been 5 days. This is going to be a loooong wait Ugh.

Game has tons of replayability so just do another run as another origin, with different build etc when next gen upgrade comes.

The combat here is also pretty damn good really. I put a lot of points in hacking and stealth but I'm really getting into the gunplay now. Weapons are nice and crunchy and have some awesome built-in features. I just picked up a pistol that can charge up and unleash a burst of hellfire that sets enemies alight. It's just a shower of headshots and flames. Enemies look cool when they get hit or when they're suffering status effects. The mech guards are fantastic too and have awesome exploding animations. I love the way they try and order you to stand down. Some really good stuff if you get into it.

I assume the 1.04 is what CDPR wanted as a day 1 patch but missed by a few days.
The reception would be way better than it was now... Even the base PS4/XBox One are better, even if not good by any stretch...

Since I have both versions of the game (PS5/Series X) I have been doing a lot of testing of each version...with that testing, in order to get 100% or as close as I can comparison I have been playing the "origin" portions of the games and at times doing them at the same time and changing the HDMI input to do some comparisons. With all this testing, it got me curious.....
What origin story is the best and/or which one did you choose?
For me, the are in this order (best to last):
1. Street Kid
2. Nomad
3. Corpro
I find that Street Kid is easily the best by a far margin. There is a lot more going on and it seems more involved. Nomad is really the middle child here. Not as good as Street Kid, but not as bad as Corpo. I find Corpro having a lot less action and more story driven.

Finally finished the prologue. Took me 9 hours to get to this point and it has been an amazing ride. Go online to see that people are saying the prologue is 45mins long...??? Wtf

They do....but the origin ones are still pretty good especially Street Kid. But what I did notice being that I tried all 3 of them and advanced 2 of them further into Act 1 there are things that are different. I have had some interactions with NPC's where some of the dialog is different for my Corpro character versus my Street Kid character. While all 3 origin opening merge to the same second half before you get to the apartment, they do change things the further you get into the game.

Unfortunately HDR is broken in this game. You’re better off playing in SDR. Tl;dw it’s “fake HDR” where it renders in SDR then scales it to HDR. There are no true blacks in HDR mode. Black levels are washed out and grayish.

Some people think the prologue is that opening playable part after you pick your character. Some think the prologue ends after you wake up in your apartment....that is just the beginning of the prologue. lol.

You can hook your PC up to anything but a monitor is always superior. They have higher refresh rates and lower input lag.
Just be aware that if you’re aiming for 4K you’ll need to spend more. 4K gaming on PC isnt very practical and requires a huge performance sacrifice to hit that resolution. I think the RTX 3090 is $1500 which is the “4K GPU” and that’s ridiculous. 1440p is the sweet spot on PC right now.
You’d be better off building a good mid range PC and buying a 1440p monitor in my opinion.

I have been spec'ing into it. Right now only level 5, but it will pay off once i get more points into it.
I like the idea of it and am finding blueprints. Also gives me something to do with all the loot (dissmantle)

Newb question. How does switching weapons and melee work on console?
Say I want to switch quickly from my pistol to fists/blade I have equipped, pressing Y just switches to my other weapons I have equipped. I know I can bring up another menu by holding Y and choosing different options, but is there another quicker way to do this on the fly?

Man... holy shit at this whole Konpeki Plaza mission arc. Definitely didn't expect any of this when I started it. This was almost worth the price of admission alone.
Also, I just want to say that I appreciate that they had characters speak their native language where it makes sense. I was worried that the Arasakas were going to speak heavily accented English to each other.
