Gonna give the game a go on PC. Be gentle to my 2060 Super.

Game crashed twice so far, but apart from the occasional floating car or clipping NPC it's been alright. But damn those enemy netrunners setting me on fire every few seconds are annoying, I couldn't help myself but dismember them in gruesome fashion with my Katana.
i still can't fucking win that stupid fight in kabuki and they charge $500 for every attempt. i don't have that kinda money so i've been reloading my save. fucking infuriating. i've tried leveling up streetbrawller stats.
and you play basically with last gen assets because next gen patch isnt out yetNow that 1.04 has dropped for XSX I am blown away by the achievement they have here. Sure it still has unnaceptable bugs, but visually this is next level shit and it hardly drops a frame now. Its actually mindblowing, I cant get fully immersed because im constantly wondering how the fuck they created something so detailed and cohesive. Amazing work.
I know, its incredible. This will go down as the best gameworld ever made I imagine.and you play basically with last gen assets because next gen patch isnt out yet
This game really feels like a mix between Deus Ex, Fallout, Witcher 3 and a bit of GTA. The main story and main side quests are Witcher 3 quality, then you have the driving and the TV channels and the radio stations like GTA, and then you have the open-world side of things, which feels like a lot like a Fallout game or the hubs in the Deus Ex games.
In a way, you can understand why some people didn't get what they were expecting. I never expected this game to remind me of Fallout either (although maybe I should have because it is the king of first-person open-world rpgs, after all). People wanted future GTA, but this is game where, when you're not playing the main missions, you're exploring and choosing your approach and hacking terminals and reading shards and experiencing brief little stories in the world.
I FUCKING hate those enemies, at first I had no idea i was being hacked. I thought it was a random bug lol.Game crashed twice so far, but apart from the occasional floating car or clipping NPC it's been alright. My forum avatar accurately represents my face when enemy netrunners try to use any elemental/status effect on me because of the below:
Yes, I am completely legitimately immune to any and all status effects
PS: There is a perk version of Immunity to Shock as well, so if you have that perk, you can swap out the armor plate for one that gives +200 Armor instead and be even more tanky.
Got the game on XSX and played up to just after the training stuff. Game looks ok but I really want that next gen wow. Trying to wait and not play it is hard as fuck and it's only been 5 days. This is going to be a loooong wait Ugh.

Oohh, those are nice. Without spoiling, are those random drops or quest rewards?
I don't, critics have no integrity, if they did they wouldn't review for clicks they'd review to inform the gaming populace. Trying to review a game prior to release is why reviews are so goddamn irrelevant, it's why people go to Youtube for critical analysis from people who don't rush their reviews or at the very least ADMIT they're just giving early impressions. Critics are a farce in the game industry.
I can't believe they just leaked Half Life 3's release year. Finally!!!

Anywhere between $1000-$1200 would be my rough estimate. You’re looking to spend $500-$600 on a good RTX GPU alone.Thinking about buying a PC to play this. How much would it cost to build one to play it with high-Max settings?
I assume the 1.04 is what CDPR wanted as a day 1 patch but missed by a few days. Now that 1.04 has dropped for XSX I am blown away by the achievement they have here. Wow a lot cheaper then I thought. I got a 4K TV in my living room can I just hook it up to it or do I need a monitor?Anywhere between $1000-$1200 would be my rough estimate. You’re looking to spend $500-$600 on a good RTX GPU alone.
Since I have both versions of the game (PS5/Series X) I have been doing a lot of testing of each version...with that testing, in order to get 100% or as close as I can comparison I have been playing the "origin" portions of the games and at times doing them at the same time and changing the HDMI input to do some comparisons. With all this testing, it got me curious.....
What origin story is the best and/or which one did you choose?
For me, the are in this order (best to last):
1. Street Kid
2. Nomad
3. Corpro
I find that Street Kid is easily the best by a far margin. There is a lot more going on and it seems more involved. Nomad is really the middle child here. Not as good as Street Kid, but not as bad as Corpo. I find Corpro having a lot less action and more story driven.
Which on did you choose?
They do....but the origin ones are still pretty good especially Street Kid. But what I did notice being that I tried all 3 of them and advanced 2 of them further into Act 1 there are things that are different. I have had some interactions with NPC's where some of the dialog is different for my Corpro character versus my Street Kid character. While all 3 origin opening merge to the same second half before you get to the apartment, they do change things the further you get into the game.Don't the storylines merge in like the first hour?
Some people think the prologue is that opening playable part after you pick your character. Some think the prologue ends after you wake up in your apartment....that is just the beginning of the prologue. lol. Finally finished the prologue. Took me 9 hours to get to this point and it has been an amazing ride. Go online to see that people are saying the prologue is 45mins long...??? Wtf
I never thought I would ever see a RPG with car details rivaling the best of the best racing games, but here it issome off roading
You can hook your PC up to anything but a monitor is always superior. They have higher refresh rates and lower input lag.Wow a lot cheaper then I thought. I got a 4K TV in my living room can I just hook it up to it or do I need a monitor?
I'm assuming it's like The Witcher where it's unnecessary to progress, but can be helpful. I'm skipping it for now.Has anyone been focusing on crafting? If so, how has it been? Worthwhile?
Quick! Stop what you're doing right now, and take the best possible photo of your V and post it here. Let's see em boys and girls.
I have been spec'ing into it. Right now only level 5, but it will pay off once i get more points into it.Has anyone been focusing on crafting? If so, how has it been? Worthwhile?
