On ps5, does the hdr option do anything? I can't tell the difference. Every other game I've played just works with my x900h, I don't have to mess with settings after having doing the PS5 initial set up.

Question GAF.

Took a photo as I downloaded this game as you can see the speed.

I think I pay for like 300mbps

is this slow? it's long since downloaded obviously, but I'm not getting shafted by my ISP eh?

keeps saying "upload failed" when I send Pic.

But the speed is 26 MB/s

my 7700k/1080ti isn't struggling to play this as my monitor is 3440x1440 and there is no resolution scaling available for me

guess i will try again when PC components are actually available for purchase

Anybody else having issues with the ADS sensitivity on PS4? Feels way to sensitive, I can't aim properly. Does anybody else have this problem? I want the aiming to be more like call of duty. It feels bad.

Holy shit the Cyberpunk subreddit is completely on fire. So many people pissed off at the game. I think it's fair to say at this point that the game didn't meet the hype.

It's getting to the point where I'm noticing people are talking less about the bugs, and more about the actual faults of the game. Lifeless NPCs, lack of QoL features (no transmog, no barber, lack of customization), and bad AI are the criticisms I see the most. To be honest, even though I'm having a really good time with it, I can see where the criticisms are coming from. The game was marketed as the next evolution of Open World RPGs, and it's not even close. Granted there are a lot of things to like about it, and a lot of things it does very well.

Hopefully in a couple years from now, after many QoL changes, polishing, DLC, balance tweaking, and features being added, CP77 will be a vastly improved experience than it is now. The potential is there. There are a lot of people shitting on this game (some of it deservedly so), but who knows what state this game will be in 1-2 years from now. But as it stands right now, it's undercooked, and does some things that are a step back for Open World RPGs.
I checked it out for a few hours tonight at a friend's house. Honestly, just boring. That's not my hot take. The game is just honestly boring. Characters and environments even on PS5 look like they have almost no textures at times. If you don't have the eye candy, it's a lot easier to see the faults in other areas.

This Game.....

Came across this guy at the start of the game. He had a bounty over his head.

Who else explored the badlands in the start? Seems a majority skipped it and drove onto Night City

Holy shit, I just fixed the PS4 version by myself...However, WARNING: In order to do this, your TV must be really good with the input lag in gaming..

Here is my tutorial to fix this shit.

First thing I did was to sit even further back from my TV. Secondly, I said to myself
FUCK GAMEMODE! and turn it OFF, and enabled the "Natural Picture" Mode from my TV which applies all kind of filters and processings that are usually disabled under game mode; this added a pretty clean picture and punchy colors to the IQ, looking pretty for this game; and at last, the most important part, enable that goddamn "Motion Plus" filter all way up to smooth this mess out. Now it is giving me a perception like If I were playing the game at around 40 FPS-60FPS (of course if it is not, but the TV is doing wonders).

Now, main negative is, input lag takes a noticeable hit, but because my TV is pretty good at it, if just feels like my previous 2012 TV in term of input lag when when having the game mode enabled. I think around 40 MS?? Which is not bad at all.

Yikes, one doesn't normally play with those motion plus filters in gaming, but whatever it takes!! Despite, it really works GREAT with theses types of games in term playing slow-pace first person view, and having constant dialogues.

And this is the general sentiment for both PS5 and XSX?

I only ask because I wanted to get it for XSX, but my shop only had PS copies so I picked it up and installed it on my PS5. But I'm second guessing myself and thinking maybe I just sell the PS version and download digitally on XSX.

gah! WTF do I do??
From what I've seen XSX city looks a lot busier than PS5 in quality mode and performance mode. In performance mode it can look a bit ruff at times when outside but absolutely fine at times. Seems like the dynamic scaler is very aggressive. Quality mode seems to run 30fps solid and I'd say 1440p but I've only played for 2 hours last night.

that's not a fix. maybe it makes it more enjoyable for you but it's like putting make up on a pig + papering over cracks.

my 2080 is handling the game with ease at 1440p 60fps. everything is up except volumetrics. my PC is running quiet and gpu is ~60C. i wish i could push it further with RTX but it's broken for me.
Well, in my small world I'm used to running anything at 1440/60 on high

but now it's 2020 and my tiny 1070 just can't do it. However.... It's no chump. Bought it in 2014 and it's served me well

my temps never go above 60c

Ignoring the technical issues. how is the game overall ? are the side quests as good a Witcher 3's ? cause in my opinion the side quests of W3 were even better than the Main story, which is already amazing.

It's *wonderful* bro. A leap from W3 in presentation at least. The first person conversations are... astonishing.

I dont know were I got this handgun but after I upgraded it a couple times none of my other guns come close.

What's everyone favorite weapons so far? I have found some really unique snipers.

I really fucking love this game and it turned into everything I hoped it would be. CDPR are the bests devs out there at the moment, truly. Rockstar and CDPR are truly industry leaders at the moment.

I occasionally find "books" (stuff to read) and I pick them up. How can I read those texts after picking them up? I found nothing in the menus.
