Awesome trailer, will watch again over and over for the next days.

Waiting for some store in Portugal to have the preorder available, want that shiny golden box.

I'm glad they are embracing the robot dude, he was the only thing with personality on the game, bought vanilla destiny and then again for the taken king bundle hoping they would improve on so many things, this time I'm going to be more cautious and wait after the game launches to know the whole picture about the game instead of blindly jumping.

Last chance for Bungie from me.

I enjoyed that trailer interesting to see the serious with the not so serious.

Seems like it will kick off after the events of the city falling? It would be great if the game started with you making a last stand it some kick ass raid armour before falling and losing your gear etc to start a new game.

Wouldn't make sense from a design prospect unless you had a flash back before that setting the scene and teach controls for a new player.

The only thing that bugged me with the trailer (I'm a little out of the loop of Destiny so I may be wrong) is that all the guardians seemed to be in base gear when fighting. Where are the badass raid outfits/weapons?

On its own merits, the trailer was fine but lol @ having a CGI teaser for a CGI reveal, neither of which tell us anything about how the game is any different than Destiny 1.

At this point we're just supposed to be excited that Destiny 2 exists, which we already knew. Can't help but be a little disappointed.

e: Post below is exactly right.

Is that even Gina Torres as Ikora? They brought her back for one line? What a waste.

Glad to hear Lance back though.

PC collectors edition is listed but noted as nonexistent when you try and buy it on gamestop...

No CE available on amazon yet but it is listed...

Did they run out of CE that fast?

Wait is the CE really fucking sold out on Amazon that fast? I never even so a live pre-order button. What in the fuck

GameStop has it up but they charge as soon a you pre-order and fuck that

It either sold out in literal seconds, or has yet to go live for purchase.

The DLCs/Expansions for Destiny 1 were way too expensive for what little they had to offer IMO. I got more content out of a $15 dlc for Elder Scrolls Online then the $40 I paid for on Destiny. I still got them all and got 100% of the trophies for it but I just won't be able to handle this business practice anymore.

Ah gotcha.

Cayde 6 was funny in TTK expansion, but I really hope they don't overuse him in D2. That trailer doesn't give me much confidence in that.

Man, Destiny might be the most tonally confused franchise I've ever seen. We've gone from Noble Space Knights, to Game of Thrones Lite, to bro-five shoot and loot time. Going from the original ViDoc of Destiny 1 to this is jarring.

It's almost as if it can be whatever the player wants it to be?

Anyways, it's been that way since day 1. Cayde was always the loner joker, Ikora the scholar (diving deep into grimore), and zavala the soldier.

Then theres Eris, who is Meg Griffen.

exclusive confirmed........they trying so hard to stay relevant

assholes.

Yeah I'm pissed about this. As someone who never* buys limited editions, the Destiny ones are surprisingly worth it. For only $5 more you get a nice steel book and art book.

*bought D1 limited for the same reason and bought HZD special because reasons.

My hype is maximum. Pre-ordered a physical copy, but I'm very probably switch to digital before launch.

Love the trailer. Happy to see my man Zavala taking a leading role. Wish Bungie wouldn't do these stupid live-stream teases, but it's working for them. Sounds like that 4chan post is fake at this point.

First expansion looks Osiris themed, awesome! Not super familiar with the symbol on the second banner though.

This game absolutely owns my soul.

Putting Fillion front and centre is clever. Dudes got charisma flowing out of his ass. Something the first game seriously lacked at times.

Great trailer, anyway. I just hope the game is a significant step forward from it's predecessor.

Amazon hasn't gone live yet and Gamestop doesn't charge until they ship. (Though it seems the PC version of the CE is sold out on Gamestop?)

Cabal force turning Guardian command center and armory into ash is laughable?

k

As a justification for the loot reset, yeah, it's pretty laughable. Especially, if you can still keep some things, like emblems or shaders.

I'll most likely buy the game digitally day one though. I've put over 600 hours into the first, and it's just more convenient to launch it from the HDD. Hopefully there'll be a reasonably priced digital version with a season pass. I'm not holding my hopes up for that.

I ordered the digital deluxe from Amazon. Annoying that the physical limited is only at Gamestop. Also, trailer was pretty lame.

Just for clarification...

They are NOT requiring a subscription fee for this MOFPSRPG, right?

It's still just BUY to PLAY, right? On PC too, right?

I can get this for the PC and skip the XBL/PS+ sub services, right?

I really think they are missing the point if they're just going to make Cayde-6 the sole point of humor in the game. I don't want Cayde to just be Fozzy the Bear. Hell, a moment like that would actually make sense for Cayde to be a little serious.

Absolutely this. Destiny had elements of magic and mysticism rolled into the space themes.

So far, Destiny 2 feels like it's visually and thematically closer to Gears of War or something.

And it fell flat on its face because it was so far up its own ass that it didn't have time to explain any of it. Meanwhile, people who played the game sounded much closer to Cayde here. You shoot aliens with rainbow colored guns wearing goofy helmets and then you dance on their corpse. When was Destiny ever mystical? The original score and a few cutscenes, and that's about it.

That was a great trailer

I didn't love Cayde-6 in The Taken King (I think because that seemed to me like "look we added character to our game! literally one character!") but if they build it from the ground up with that tone I think it'll be a good time

Embrace it for exactly what it is. Make a story that reflects the kind of game it is. It was being sold as this epic tale that disappointed people because it isn't supposed to end, it's an MMO lite. (Not that they shouldn't have a normal story but build it as "there's a threat and we're fighting it, also loot" first and foremost)

Destiny's visuals were nice but I'm hoping we see a solid leap with last gen gone. Also hoping the Crucible is baller because that's where I'll be spending my time

Yeah. I really hope they keep the original feel and style of the game - that was its one redeeming quality.

Don't get me wrong, Cayde's personality and humor are great, but it's a bit on the nose in this trailer.
