Got to like level 10 on necro so far. Looks like the golem quest in the book of the dead is lv.25. I bet its in a zone we can't access. But the class feels good so far. Reminds me of running zombies in PoE. Got DC'd on Xbox and now I'm in a 20 min queue.

How many (non-seasonal) characters do you figure will be used on a normal account in the full game? 1 for each class? Or would you be better off with 3 or 4 from each class so you can have different specializations?

I don’t think it’s ever explained but I believe it depends on the core skill used.

I don’t think you do. I just think depending on the attack is the weapon used. Just cleared the first area.

I'll 100% agree with this, but I have a feeling they toned down the mobs due to people complaining about scaling though? I'll have to test out Barbarian again at low levels. Right now I hit lvl 6 on necro and its insane and I am on World Tier 2 and everything feels like I am cutting through paper.

Minion persistence is pretty nuts. I summoned 4 right when I spawned into the game and went through the entire "tutorial" mission with the same four minions. Seems like they recover to full health after each enemy encounter.

Necro was and always will be overpowered, you could do hell without any gear in d2.

diablo 3 campaign (and i think <lvl 70) were the tutorial/warm up part of the game. once you're into paragon levels thats when things start to matter.

Not hard. The Barb just feels weaker than the other classes around the same power level.

Played necro for a bit.

Feels good. Absurdly overpowered, but always is until Torment 3 plus.

Don’t think I’ll play too much this weekend. D4 is just more of the same. No more, no less. Will wait for June.

Necro mobs always disappointed me a little later on too, the bosses generally can instantly wipe the screen of all mobs with basically any attack they did from my memory. But that's kinda how it works, raise the mobs they die a few seconds, corpse explode or whatever and repeat. Different from walking around on the map for sure.

Are you talking about Diablo 2? That's not really true, even Andarial will kill a lot of people who are playing the game for the first time. Of course when D2 gets hard it really just gets annoying because you can keep running back to your corpse and potion chugging to get through just about anything.

Current Diablo 3 doesn't get remotely difficult until higher greater rifts, this isn't a good thing. I don't know what it is about modern game designers that think the slightest hint of challenging the player should be avoided.

Just hit level 10 with necro. This is quickly becoming my favorite behind sorc. Corpse explosion is sick with 0 cooldown and 0 mana/essence so you just spam the hell out of it. Bone spear destroys mobs. Super fun, this class seems like a winner.

Just saw a clip of the game in SDR compared to HDR, jesus what a difference. It's so sad how (big) games nowadays still can have this trash HDR where the black levels are just grey. Sigh.

I was just playing and the game kind of pissed me off. I was doing the Act I pilgrimage quest and there is a monster at the end of it that was pretty much impossible to beat at my level. Then, I did a dungeon and the boss was impossible to beat. So, I quit the dungeon.

I am trying to hit level 20 and the game starts pulling this shit. So, I have made it to 19 now. Not much of a way to go.

I will just find some random dungeons and finish it off.

Seriously, WTF?, game.
