Fingers crossed. I especially care about DC2 though. Will they ever remake this game or sequel.
Here a comparison with DuckStation.

It was on a par with Resident Evil 2 and Silent Hill back in 90s.How is the emulation? I started dead island 2 but am pretty bored with it already.
I never did get into dino crisis before (dinos don't really scare me). So if it's a good version I'm probs gonna bounce from DI2
Boy I sure can't wait until another one of my favorite games gets a modern remake by people completely unrelated to the original project who decide to randomly change things at a whim for modern audiences, so a a bunch of people who were totally 'fans'. But somehow never actually played the game despite it being on multiple consoles, pc, and easy to emulate. Now they can lecture me about how great of a game (the remake) is, how it's totally faithful even all the changes, and how I'm not a fan despite owning and playing it on both my Dreamcast and PS years ago. /s Totally went great all the other times it's happened.Just reminds me of how bad I want a remake, I'll wait for PS6, even 7, but, CAPCOM just please fucking remake it.
Yet another remaster rant
I strongly disagree based on RE2, SH2, Spyro, Demon's Souls, Yakuza Kiwami and the SotC Remakes.Boy I sure can't wait until another one of my favorite games gets a modern remake by people completely unrelated to the original project who decide to randomly change things at a whim for modern audiences, so a a bunch of people who were totally 'fans'. No game should be remade. Ports, maybe remasters, but nothing else. Tired of senseless changes, for the sake of changing things, and every old game getting twisted to play like the new ones. Games are art, and shouldn't be remade for money.

The game doesn’t show up for me.
I found it eventually. I don’t hate it. I just don’t put it up on a pedestal like a few here do. I think the thing I disliked about it was that the Dino’s respawned, and you had limited ammo. While Resident Evil and Silent Hill had limited ammo, but enemies didn’t respawn, unless it did so on purpose when you had to back track.Because it knows you hate it
It's basically Resident Evil with Dinos and it is pretty good. I don't remember the dinos respawning but if they did, clearly it didn't bother me lol. I played through this and RE3 multiple times. These two games were the reason I got back into gaming actually and I should also mention Tenchu: Stealth Assassins.I found it eventually. I don’t hate it. All the PS1 classics I purchased on PS3 and PSP games I purchased digitally that are available on the PS4/5 store were available for me to download for free. Of course the ones locked behind the subscription are not (very lame that they do this).Bought however many PS Classic games on PS3. Only to not be able to play them on PS4 or PS5.
This explains why I can't just go and download DC then. I was hoping to buy it, but considering it's tied to PS+ it'll be an easy skip. Thankfully it's a rare case and most classics can be bought separately. I really hope that Blood Omen Legacy of Kain won't be locked as well.

Duckstation with CRT filters (scanlines, halation, bloom, etc), looks fantastic.Gotta be a better way...
Did you watch the video? There's all kinds of terrible flaws with the shading. Also how the light comes out through the window just being these flat messy textures that block parts of the character model as they pass through it. The sky just goes completely black in sections while moving around. The PS4/5 version much more accurate to the original, does not have those glaring flaws.Duckstation with CRT filters (scanlines, halation, bloom, etc), looks fantastic.
There's no CRT filter in Vick's video, so Duckstation with CRT-royale for example would be more accurate to the original. I didn't have those bugs like the disappearing sky. It's the video that's inaccurate. See this 3 year old video with Duckstation, there's no disappearing skybox.Did you watch the video? There's all kinds of terrible flaws with the shading. Just finished it, very good port, I hadn't played it since the 90s back in my PS1, I honestly don't know how the F I finished it as a kid, it was way harder than I remembered, I had to use the Rewind feature to avoid damage at some points, but damn this game holds up really well even today, Shinji Mikami's team really was on fire back then.
You can have both. However, not all games need a remake. Some classic games sill hold up well today.
No, dude, remakes ruin the original games they're based on and complete erases the original from existence. You can have both.
I just finished RE1 Director's Cut on PS5 and the game is still awesome. The GameCube REmake is also awesome and both are still worth playing.
If they remake it again, in the style of 2 and 3, I'll be there day one. But, it won't replace the first two versions. I'll replay them all, as both of the current versions I consider possibly my most replayable game ever.
Just reminds me of how bad I want a remake, I'll wait for PS6, even 7, but, CAPCOM just please fucking remake it.
There's a fan remake on the horizon and it looks pretty good.

Fine, we'll do it ourselves.www.thegamer.com
It's available now for purchase along with Resident Evil Director's Cut. If you bought either on PS3 back in the day they should be free to download for you.Not available to purchase.
Tied to PS+ only, and even that the highest tier.
A rare Capcom misfire but one that's worth pointing out and ridicule.
