Yeah need the app
Yeah need the app
You can use DLSS swapper and nvidia profile inspector if you’d rather not have the app
Set it to "latest" and it will use the new preset K (apparently better J)yeah it works in red dead redemption 2, I can confirm. I set driver level DLAA and preset J and set the in game DLSS mode to ultra performance at 1080p. safe to say, it surely did not render at 360p. nice to know that it also works in marvel rivals and overwatch 2. that's rather great.
Think we'll have to wait for the 570 driver.
Uninstalling nvidia app and reinstalling did the trick for meI have the new driver and RDR2 installed. For some reason, RDR2 appears 2 times on the app and none of them let me change the DLSS model.
Fuck is this? Did they forget to add the option or what?
I'd assume any new game will point to the new model by default. But that's just my guess.Like is it ever gonna be as simple as going in the graphic settings of a game and choosing transformer instead of cnn??
Going to try that, thanks!Uninstalling nvidia app and reinstalling did the trick for me
That would be great because i don't wanna deal with shitty apps etc.I'd assume any new game will point to the new model by default. But that's just my guess.

Only works for the games supported by the override since theres a new dlss dll (310.2.1) and we cant select preset K with the old one in unsupported games i think.

Yep, this did the trick for me too, thanks again!Uninstalling nvidia app and reinstalling did the trick for me
Does RDR2 have support for the New Transformer Model or do i read it wrong?Yep, this did the trick for me too, thanks again!
Now I'm able to choose from Value A to Value J on the model override. Guess J is the new one, will try it later with RDR2 and maybe Dragon's Dogma 2 as well.
Try picking the "latest" option or whatever it is in your language (theres a new value K, which is improved J)Now I'm able to choose from Value A to Value J on the model override. Guess J is the new one, will try it later with RDR2 and maybe Dragon's Dogma 2 as well.
YesDoes RDR2 have support for the New Transformer Model or do i read it wrong?
Because that would be a reason to play it again.
Is there an option in the settings or how do i choose the new Transformer Model?Try picking the "latest" option or whatever it is in your language (theres a new value K, which is improved J)
Yes
It's out on nvidia's website, the app isn't pushing it yet.Isn't a new driver rolling out soon?
Not in the game, maybe theyll update it, but for now you have to use the Nvidia App:Is there an option in the settings or how do i choose the new Transformer Model?
Cool, thank you very much. Not in the game, maybe theyll update it, but for now you have to use the Nvidia App:
Go to graphics - pick Red Dead 2 -> scroll down until you find "DLSS Override - Model Presets" -> Super Resolution -> pick the "Latest"
The Nvida APP (for me) downloaded 572.16 before it popped up the message that the actual Nvidia APP had a software update. It's out on nvidia's website, the app isn't pushing it yet.
I downloaded on the app. It was giving me an error where it wouldn't download tho. Then it started working. It's out on nvidia's website, the app isn't pushing it yet.

Bah, my app says I'm up-to-date with the Dec 5th driver...I downloaded on the app. It was giving me an error where it wouldn't download tho. Then it started working.
lmao, and I thought my issues in Godot were bad.*EDIT* Now I can't right-click my desktop.
Waited a few minutes, but ended up having to restart to be able to right-click.lmao, and I thought my issues in Godot where bad.
This driver stinks indeed, I've rolled back to the previous one. Let them cook, right now this steak is still rare.
whats the difference with preset KLINK TO NEW .DLL
Probably need to use profile inspector to force preset K for unsupported games. Will test.
EDIT: Drag and dropping it into FF7: Rebirth is causing a crash on launch
EDIT 2: profile inspector tweak seems to have it working
should force it to use the newest version of the transformer model driver. I'd expect that they'll make incremental improvements to performance and IQ as they have previously, but can't test for myself at the moment right now.whats the difference with preset K
This is what nvidia claims: improved temporal stability, reduced ghosting, and enhanced detail in motionwhats the difference with preset K

(J was pretty much a beta version of K)
Yep, this shit is the future for sure.
this is insane. ray reconstruction on my 3070 at 1080p dlss quality. it looks so good that I can just play this at upscaled 1080p and enjoy!
I find the reflections far too sharp to the point of being unrealistic.

can i add preset K to the nvidia app or gotta use nvidia profile inspector? and if i gotta use profile inspector should i just set frame gen and dlss preset to latest in nvidia app? This is what nvidia claims: improved temporal stability, reduced ghosting, and enhanced detail in motion

For overrdrive supported games yes, for unsupported gotta at minimum swap the file and possibly use inspector too if K isnt new default (ive written how a few posts above)can i add preset K to the nvidia app or gotta use nvidia profile inspector? and if i gotta use profile inspector should i just set frame gen and dlss preset to latest in nvidia app?
4K DLAA in RDR2 looks beautiful. Same with Cyberpunk. Control also looks great.
Man, makes me wish Valve would go with Nvidia for a Deck 2 (not gonna happen, I know) because even at 1080p, it delivers super clean results.
Stable in what sense exactly? Does J cause crashes? Both K and J are the transformer model (K should be more stable)
